Chapter 32

Chapter 32
The honey-colored sunset outside the window was sinking in. Josh stood in front of the hospital bed, and his shadow was getting longer and longer.
Diana was stunned for a few seconds at first, and when she recalled the meaning of Josh's words, her strain sensations were eliminated, and her cold hands and feet gradually got warmer.
However Josh's expression was somehow showed his condescension and mockery.
She silently pulled up the quilt, trying to cover her head.
However, while she was still having an intravenous drip with one hand, the edge of the quilt tripped over the infusion tube, and then touched the needle, so her action was failed, and she couldn't help but let out a hiss and took a breath.
Josh looked at her quietly, with a slack expression. Seeing that she couldn't get rid of the infusion tube for a long time, he stepped forward and pulled the quilt to stabilize the infusion stent, and then pressed the automatic lift button unhurriedly, so that she could sit up halfway.
Josh: "You should have something to eat first."
Following his eyesight, Diana looked at the bedside table, only to find a heat preservation bucket and medical records on it.
She picked up the medical record and glanced at it. She couldn't understand the technical terms, but the word "hypoglycemia" was still very familiar to her.
"..."
It meant she fainted because of starving, but she didn't think it was more reasonable than cancer.
Diana lowered her head, pausing for a moment, and then put down the tissue paper stiffly.
What a shame...!
This ward was s very large, with a floor-to-ceiling window with a wide view, but no one spoke, so the air seems to be poky and awkward.
Diana, like a little baby who obediently admitted her wrongdoing, put both hands on her flat belly, lightly picking her nails. She never looked up at Josh again the whole time.
But today, Josh was more patient than he was usual. He raised the table on the bed, served her with the porridge, and tested its temperature. But he didn't fed her in person, or he must be a model husband.
In Diana's mind, he should answer a call as going back to his company after she awoke. For a while, she didn't dare to pick her nails, and even didn't dare to move a little.
"Drink a little. It's not hot."
Diana nodded, swallowing a few mouthfuls as if the porridge was poisonous, and quickly put down the spoon.
"Don't you have appetite?"
"Well, hum..." Diana wanted to say, "Can you go out and not stare at me", but finally she flattered him, "It tastes just so-so, not as good as that you cooked."
As soon as she finished speaking, she remembered that Josh seemed to have never cooked porridge for her, so she quickly changed the topic, "By the way, when can I be discharged from the hospital?"
"Whenever you like. You just have hypoglycemia."
"..."
He seemingly taunted her again, and her fragile heart was broken.
Diana didn't answer him, but Josh would not break the silence at all.
Diana stirred the porridge one after another, and suddenly suspected that the bastard was inflicting chronic torture on her like cutting the meat with a dull knife.
But peeking at his expression, she finally didn't think so.
Sounding him out in the brink of embarrassment, Diana had to admit that no matter what the original intention of this bastard was, she was already tormented by this sudden patience.
She suddenly put down the spoon and said in a high voice, "C-- can you please stop staring at me? I want to sleep!"
Before Josh answered her, she kicked the quilt with both her hands and feet and then lay down hastily without looking at him.
The most terrible thing was that her face began to heat up uncontrollably. Her psychological suggestion didn't work any more. The word of "embarrassment" like looping remarks on the screen while people watching movies online constantly hit her mind,
When seeing her ears turning red, Josh was slightly touched in heart.
But it only lasted for a moment, and he couldn't bear to think about it.
Finally, he took out the porridge while leaving the ward and closed the door.
Diana only held on for four or five seconds after hearing the door closing, and then couldn't wait to turn around. Seeing Josh still standing in front of the window, she curled back very spinelessly.
Josh smiled suddenly.
Sam, who had been waiting outside, was a little surprised. When he looked up, Josh has kept a serious expression.
He walked out while watching the time, and lots of work needed him to deal with, "Our branch in X City needs to cooperate with a company about propagandizing. Besides, the corporate video is not good, so it should be changed sooner or later."
Sam: "How about JM Group?"
"It's up to you." Josh's voice was calm, "It's time to receive account from RJ Property Company, so you should make a date with its boss Mr.Whitehead. In addition, don't worry about the private contact between Eden and Mike for the time being, and don't let other people interfere them. It's not the right time yet. "
"Yes."
Sam followed him. Since Josh has ordered him about all business tasks, Sam wanted to ask him something, but in the end he held back due to the professional ethics.
In the ward, Diana was curled up on the bed and motionless. Recalling all the embarrassing moments she had in front of Josh recently, she felt more and more ashamed, and vented silently a few times by holding the pillow. In the end, she even fell asleep again probably because of being so tired.
She didn't wake up until eight o'clock in the evening, and her intravenous drip has been done.
A nurse carefully and softly instructed her while collecting the empty bottle, "You'd better just have bland diet after having an intravenous drip, and overeating heavy oil and spicy food can easily cause gastrointestinal discomfort and other illness.
Diana nodded absentmindedly, looking in the direction of the door.
She thought to herself: Josh, this bastard, disappeared? Is there someone outside to pick her up?
When the nurse left the ward, Diana retracted her gaze in despair.
But the next second, the door was pushed off again, with a few wisps of sparse autumn night wind.
Josh leaned on the doorway and they had an eye-contact slightly. Glancing at her, he suddenly said, "Pack your thing up, and let's go home."
Diana was sitting on the bed with her legs in arms, staring at him blankly as he approached step by step, and her heart beat uncontrollably.

Unconsciously, it has been in late autumn, so the temperature at night was very low, and the wind was cold. Diana wore a trench coat.
She couldn't help but glanced at the shopping bag of a certain brand in the back seat, "Is this a gift from a client, or is it for a client?"
I saw it at the airport and thought it was a good fit for you. Josh got into the car from the other side and glanced at her.
"..."
She thought to herself: is it for me? Diana looked at him suspiciously, and reached for the shopping bag.
When unpacking the box, she glanced at him from time to time.
When seeing the bag, Diana subconsciously burst into a little excitement, and she smiled happily.
It was pretty good-looking, and she liked its color, style and size.
Josh asked: "Do you like it?"
Diana focused her eyes on the bag, and was extremely satisfied, but kept a straight face and commented with dignity and glamour: "Well... not bad."
She touched it fondly, suddenly remembering something. She turned her head again, and asked sullenly, "Why are you so kind to me today?"
"Really?"
She answered yes in heart secretly. After all, he served her with porridge today, came to pick her up in person, and even gave her a bag. Did he have bad intentions!
After all, he had another intention while abnormally picking her up in the magazine office and cooked braised pork ribs for her last time.
Thinking of this, Diana squeezed the handle of the bag tightly, and was apprehensive.
She thought to herself: This man won't do anything to me, will he? I was just discharged from the hospital today. Is he so inhuman and impatient?
A few minutes later, the car was parked in the underground garage of a large shopping mall. Josh said that he was going to the supermarket to buy vegetables and cook porridge for her, which seemingly further verified her conjecture.
She got off the car with her new bag and was very wary of Josh. On the way to the supermarket, she even kept reminding him that she was a patient discharged from the hospital, so she was weak and needed a good rest!
Josh glanced at her, "Got it. "
"..."
What! He was so perfunctory. She made complaints in heart: come one! Do you really get it?
Actually, Josh didn't know what she was thinking about, nor realized he has done anything abnormal. He treated her so special this day after all.
Everything seemed to be going with the flow. He did whatever he wanted, and he thought it was all right.
-
Diana rarely went shopping in a supermarket usually, and this was the first time she did it with Josh.
Seeing the cute stroller with a car-style at the door, she took a few more glances.
Josh suddenly reached out to push her head, and said in a low voice, "Don't look at it. It's not a good fit for you with your weight."
His hands were a little cold. He was just pushing her head, but she felt that her heart was beating uncontrollably.
Josh has been five meters aways from her in front while she tried to provide an explanation.
She quickly followed him, holding the handle of the cart with him. After calming down her heartbeat, she asked, "By the way, when did you learn to cook? I didn't know that before."
"When I was in college," he said that as picking out the seasoning, "I didn't learn it, but just downloaded the recipe and did as it said."
"I also cooked with the help of the recipe, but why was I failed?"
Josh put a bottle of cumin powder into the shopping cart, turned his head and looked at her, seemingly saying, "don't you know the reason?"
Diana shut up in time.
The lights in the supermarket were bright. Diana looked around and found that many young couple pushed the car together, talking and laughing, and some of them were intimate.
On the way to the aquatic area, the smell in the air began to turn fishy, Diana covered her mouth and nose. As she took several steps forward, the fish in a tank suddenly fluttered and splashed out.
She subconsciously protected the new bag sent by Josh, and when the fish was quiet, she held it up and wiped lovingly.
After doing that, she felt something was wrong. She even commute wit her other limited edition bags. Why was she so careful about an ordinary bag that was not very precious!
Thinking of something, she immediately stopped wiping the bag.
Looking at Josh who was selecting the live shrimp, she said quickly, "It smells so bad here. I'll go check out the snacks, and come to you later."
After she finished speaking, she turned around immediately, paused for two seconds, and then quickly disapeared in Josh's eyesight.
Josh looked up at her back, but didn't think much about it.
Thinking of Diana who might do some incredible things from time to time as long as she was out of his sight, he didn't stay in the aquatic area for a long time. After the shrimps were killed and packed, he planned to find the little girl that couldn't even walk independently like a vase.
Diana wandered quietly in the snack area with her bag, and she soon felt the belated hunger in her stomach.
Usually, she had a low desire for puffed food, but at this time she really wanted to open a pack of potato chips to eat before paying the bill.
Fortunately, she cared her image more than her appetite in the end. She wondered forward and didn't see these snacks.
Her stomach didn't get anything at this time, but something ran in her mind.
There were so many things that she didn't really think about clearly lingering in her mind. Her brain was like a minefield full of landmines, and her little thought would blow up her existing peaceful life.
She wandered back and forth in front of the storage rack for a long time, trying to get rid of the word "Josh" from her mind.
But in the next second after having this idea, Josh's quiet voice suddenly sounded behind her, "Have you done?"
She was so startled that her shoulders trembled involuntarily, and then she picked up a box from the rack casually, and hurried forward without looking back, "I've bought what I need!
After walking for a while, she inadvertently looked down and found that she was holding a large box in her hand, on which the logo of small umbrellas was oversized and obvious. There were a dozen or twenty small boxes in it.
She thought: What? This is a real landmine.
Diana was stunned. Seeing many men around, she turned around and tried to shove the box into Josh's arms without thinking.
But when raising her head, Diana was so embarrassed and hopeless.
She thought to herself: What? Where is Josh?!
