Chapter 15

Chapter 15
...?
In a few seconds, Diana didn't understand what Bonnie was talking about.
The name "Kate" only left a short impression in her mind.
"What? Who and Josh?"
As soon as finishing her words, Diana remembered that Bonnie also said an attribute - a shameless woman.
She was petrified for a moment, and then took out her mobile phone from her bag, clicking the app- Weibo without saying a word.
This matter has not yet been broken out to the public, so she didn't see any relevant news on the homepage. Besides, Kate was at most a little popular star in terms of seniority, so no one would take the initiative to care about her romantic and private life if she didn't buy her a place on the hot search list.
Diana moved the cursor to the search box, but she had no idea of what to search for, and was briefly at a loss.
She couldn't even remember when she had the self-consciousness to have a commercial marriage in the future.
She also couldn't remember when she was numb and commonplace to the hypocrisy between men and women.
Actually, she has faced so many things like this.
Her eldest uncle and his wife Kelly Swift whom she has always admired pretended to treat each other with respect, but actually they were not in love, and just did their own thing without interfering with each other.
Her parents who had only left a vague impression on her had nothing to do with the conjugal love she subconsciously thought.
When she was an adult, she accidentally learned that the two gave birth to her only to prove that there was nothing wrong with their reproductive function and to account for their both families. As a result, no one raised her up after the birth.
Later, the two died unexpectedly on the way to show the hypocritical love outside. Maybe it was a belated retribution.
In the eyes of outsiders, Diana was an orphan since her parents have passed away, but her uncles and aunts still loved her and doted on her, which was really a good blessing from her previous life.
This was indeed the case. Her oldest and second uncles doted on her as they did to their biological daughters, and she even had a better life than her cousins since childhood.
But she also knew for a long time that being treated as their biological daughter did not mean she was given birth by them. Actually, all the treatment she received would be exchanged on the condition of her marriage in the second half of her life.
So at the first day she married Josh, she didn't expect they would respect each other and live to old age in conjugal bliss.
"What I want most is love, a lot of love. If there is no love, I want to get much money."
When reading this sentence at her fifteen or sixteen-year-old age, she could not understand its meaning completely. However, as she grew up, she thought what it meant was seemingly fair.
She felt somehow confused at first, and then a little flustered and uncomfortable as she was standing here and suddenly learned the news of her husband's cheating.
"Diana, please... don't cry... are you okay?"
Bonnie coaxed her softly, being a little in a hurry and incoherent. Seeing that she was not about to stand still, he hurriedly helped her to the sofa and sat down.
Diana didn't want to cry. Sitting on the sofa, she just subconsciously folded her legs sideways, with her hands lightly putting on her knees, keeping her back straight, and she assumed her usual elegant sitting posture, but her eyes looked empty and her hands were shaking slightly.
After about a minute, she suddenly said, "Show me what people photographed."
Bonnie didn't do it.
Diana continued: "It's okay, just show it to me."
She would see it soon or later since she wanted to do it. Bonnie knew very well that it was only a matter of time. After a long silence, he finally moved his fingers.
The matter was disclosed by a video and a few photos. The title of the news actually had nothing to do with Josh. It was about Kate's late-night secret meeting with Mr. Lyle Hall, the young master of Lotus Tour Company. In the video and photos, they acted intimately. And the press titled the two as "they are seemingly having a love affair".
The background of Lotus Tour Company and the great achievements of this young master trifling with women's affections were emphatically introduced in the content, but the piles of evidence was only the high-definition photos in which people were unclear, and ten consecutive ones of Kate and Josh in front of the car.
What was wrong with the paparazzis's professional skill! They even didn't tell Lyle Hall and Josh apart, but wrote thousands of words of analysis about the two.
Although Josh's face was not captured in the photos, his car model, the wedding ring and watch on his hand, his smiling side face, as well as Sam Rodriguez standing not far away were all strong evidence to confirm his identity.
While his wife Diana, who had an intimate relation with him, could recognize his body shape at a glance.
He was even smiling.
He was smiling to a little star, but he didn't even know her name.
Was he so gentle and considerate to other women? Would he tell other women in bed that his wife was like a boring vase?
Diana's brain seemed to explode.
The pictures brought her more impact force than the news she heard.
The video also showed he had an eight-hour intimate stay in Kate's apartment. Diana had no courage to click and watch it. Her hand holding the phone was shaking, and she tried her best to control herself not to throw her phone to the wall.
She suddenly remembered that they had a Chinese wedding that she didn't like under the requirements of their both families.
At that time, she had no idea about the wedding format since she didn't like her husband, only thinking to herself: "let's make do with it."
Josh's promise was very brief at the wedding, only saying "I won't cheat on her", and she believed him.
Unexpectedly, in just three years, his promise was broken up.
Unexpectedly, her heart was even a little sore and dull at this moment, not only because of the surprise and anger of this bastard breaking his promise, but more because of her grievance and breathless stuffiness. Actually, she also could not tell why.
Bonnie also felt very bad because of her misfortune.

They met when studying abroad. She was a poor student and her parents surrendered their last resource to support her study, so she didn't dare to be slack at home, while Diana was very gorgeous as the core of guys.
When she first went abroad, she heard rumors from Chinese overseas students that Diana, majoring in interior design, bought a suite directly in order to achieve the best effect of her project.
At that time, as a young freshman who had never seen the world, she was really shocked about that, and she never expected that this girl of the hour would take the initiative to have more interactions with her.
In these years they have known each other, Diana has always been acting as the most dazzling star in the sky.
After staying with Diana for a long time, she thought that it was a fantastic thing to have such a wonderful girl in this world.
She didn't want to see one day Diana, a dazzling star, getting dim.
She walked silently to Diana's side, trying to comfort her.
But Diana only said softly without raising head, "Leave me alone please."
Bonnie turned to look out the window, covering his forehead with hand, slipping it down along his face, and exhaling silently.
After a while, she quietly left the office.
She only left a narrow crack between a door and its frame, not because she didn't want people outside the office to see Diana's current appearance.
This little fairy should always be beautiful and energetic.
"Hey, your group members are responsible for taking pictures for Kate and John as the cover today, aren't you?"
All people in the entire editorial office area were very down under the lead of Bonnie. But someone suddenly broke in at this time, and even touch the tender spot.
Immediately, the visitor seemed to think of something, "Was it canceled because of Kate's affair? That man is not Lyle Hall, but Mr. Hunter, the president of Lux Hotel Group."
She looked at Bonnie, "Oh, Mr. Hunter is the husband of your beautiful and rich friend? Why are you still in the mood to sit here but not comfort her? Well, does this kind of girl like being cheated on?"
His malice was suddenly obvious.
"Cara Johnson, I don't want to quarrel with you today, so you'd better get out of here now!"
Bonnie looked away from the screen and focused her cold eyes on the comer. She was indifferent to him.
Office conflicts were normal. Bonnie and Cara have been against to each other since they joined the periodical office. Their hostility got stronger and stronger, and their relationship got worse and worse.
Bonnie would scold Cara as long as mentioning work while she had a date with Diana. So as time going by Diana also remembered this woman.
Cara naturally knew that Diana was Bonnie's best friend, so she has kept a distance to her for a long time and Diana, of course, was not pleasing to her eyes. Besides, they had a little argument a few times when they met in the office, so they have been hostile to each other.
Cara could not do anything bad to Diana. After all, they seldom met each other, but she bore grudges in private, hoping throughly revenge on the two women one day.
This time was obviously her best chance.
So she continued, "Why stop me telling the truth? Why are you so hypocritical since she is not here? You just flatter her because of her fortune, don't you? By the way, why don't you let her introduce you to a rich and handsome man so that you can become a rich lady? Your life must be much better at that time. It doesn't matter for the sake of money even if your husband cheated on you.
Cara was in a high spirit while laughing at Bonnie, and also looked extremely ugly.
Bonnie slammed the keyboard away with a sound of bang, rushing up to fight the woman, but the editor next to her hurriedly stopped her and persuaded "Bonnie, calm down, forget it."
Having been suppressed by Bonnie in their periodical office this whole year, Cara of course would not let go of the opportunity to to vent her anger by infuriating Bonnie.
"You still want to hit me, don't you? Do it! Come on, just do it."
"Whats's wrong with my words? Diana is usually very arrogant, isn't she? She is overbearing and arrogant just because of her rich husbands. Come on, I'm clear what she is in the Swift family! Since she is not their biological daughter, how could she act like a princess? Her family raised her up just because they hoped her to marry into a rich family! How dare she to be haughty? Does she dare to get divorced? She cannot do nothing as knowing her husband's cheating on her after all!"
Bonnie's eyes were red with anger, "Get out of the way! Don't fuck stop me! I will definitely tear up this bitch today!!"
Before Bonnie finished her words, the door of the deputy editor's office was pushed open with a bang! Diana was wearing a pair of high heels with straps today. The heels were carefully polished into the shape of the brand letters. When she was stepping on the marble floor, it made a ticking sound. The satin ribbon was slightly shiny and tied around her thin white ankles. She looked like a cool and delicate beauty.
She walked to Cara on these shoes with the ticking sound, looking at this woman up and down, and then reached out, slightly lifting her chin.
The air seemed to be quiet under Diana's careful scrutiny.
After a long time, Diana asked word by word, "Well, so what are you?"
She wore the matte red lipstick. Her lip shape was perfect and delicate, and she looked calmed and cold as saying these words slowly. As Cara said, she was dominant in nature as standing in front.
Diana added: "Your bag is fake, and earrings are imitation of classic models of a brand. You don't have any respect for the design, so how can you work in the periodical office."
At the moment of being exposed, Cara's mind was buzzing. She was so embarrassed that her neck and ears got red all of a sudden.
"You don't like me, right? So if I'm in a little trouble, you're going to humiliate me, right? But remember, no matter how terrible I am, it'll never be your turn to make irresponsible remarks."
She freed Cara's chin from suddenly, and then took a piece of paper from the desk next to wipe her hand as if it was dirty.
The office was dead silent.
After doing that, Diana put on her sunglasses, picked up what she had just printed in Bonnie's office, and then walked out without any expression.
