Chapter 172 Busier on Holiday

Chapter 172 Busier on Holiday
The next morning, when Jane woke up, Ellie was already in the kitchen. She was wearing beautiful clothes with a facial mask worth dozens of bucks on her face, looking like a rich family's daughter who had never cooked, but she was cooking, in fact.
She had prepared six kinds of breakfast: porridge, pickles, donuts, bread, noodles, and eggs.
The smell of sesame paste permeated the air. Jane leaned against the kitchen door frame. In an instant, she felt like she had gone back to H City and her childhood.
"When did you get up?"
"Ouch..." Ellie shook and turned around. Only the eyes on the face covered by the mask could move. She rolled her eyes and said stiffly, "You scared the hell out of me! You walked as quietly as a ghost."
Jane said with a smile, "If you didn't do anything against your conscience, you wouldn't be afraid of ghosts during the day."
Ellie said, "If it is a male ghost, I can talk to him. If it is a female, I'm dead. She will be jealous of my beautiful looks, so she will try to freak me out."
Jane thought it was funny. Ellie's way of thinking was always different from the others'.
"Go wash your face and brush your teeth. Call Aaron and let him come up to our floor to have breakfast."
Ellie gave an order. Jane turned around and went back to her bedroom to call Aaron.
About ten minutes later, Aaron came up and greeted Ellie with a smile, "Good morning, little aunt."
Fully energetic, Ellie responded with enthusiasm, "Come and try the noodles I prepared for you."
Aaron was low-spirited every day he woke up early, but the mouthful of noodles instantly energized him. They tasted so delicious that he gave a thumbs up sincerely.
It was still early. The three of them sat down to eat breakfast. Aaron ate noodles and donuts. If the food got stuck in his throat, he would drink the porridge and eat some pickles. Wearing disposable gloves, Ellie peeled off two eggs. "One for each of you. I'm impartial."
Aaron said, "Little aunt, you eat first."
Ellie answered, "I can wait. I'll squeeze a few cups of vegetable juice in a while. You will each drink a cup."
Aaron said, "Little aunt, I really can't drink it. I'll fill my stomach with more food. The food is so delicious!"
Ellie said, "You don't have to drink the vegetable juice right now. When you get tired and feel thirsty after working for some time in the late morning, you can drink it like water. It's very good for your skin."
Aaron's eyes were full of admiration. "Little aunt, you truly know the essence of living. Before you came, I thought Jane was fine. When you are here, she is nothing. She's just a rough woman."
Jane was expressionless. "You can flatter her, but you don't have to step on me, do you?"
Aaron gave his remark, "The truth is: comparison will hurt people."
Jane suggested sarcastically, "Then go to H City with my little aunt. Don't come to eat the food I prepare in the future!"
Aaron looked at her with pretended anger and whispered, "It's rare for Little Aunt to visit us, so I should praise her to her heart's content. You're still in this position in my heart." He gave a thumbs up, but Jane turned up her nose at it.
They had almost been full, but there was still a lot of food on the table. Aaron smiled cutely at Ellie with a handsome face, "Little aunt, you won't eat this at noon, right?"
Ellie answered, "I'll go out to have lunch with Jane. What's up?"
Aaron said smilingly, "Could I take some of the rest away?"
Jane immediately knew his heart. Aaron wanted to take their food to Charles to show his love.
Ellie agreed at once, "Yes, you can. Take all this away. I'll pack for you."
"Okay, thanks, little aunt."
Ellie rose and went to the kitchen, and Jane commented in a low voice, "Great! You eat, and you take food away."
Aaron defended himself by saying, "Details make a difference. If you want a man's heart, you should satisfy his stomach first."
Jane smiled faintly, "Sure enough, one man knows what another man thinks!"

Ellie stayed in the kitchen for a few minutes. When she came out, she had a three-layer food box in her hand. When she opened the bottom layer, noodles were seen. When it came to the second layer, donuts appeared. On the top layer, there were sliced fruits with heart-shaped strawberries among them.
Suddenly having a cute girl's mind, Aaron could not help but stretch out his arms to embrace Ellie. "You're so nice, little aunt."
Ellie said, "Just go to work. Don't be late."
When Aaron picked up the food box to leave, Jane clearly saw him walking like a happy bird. He seemed to think that he could use this alone to capture Charles's heart.
After Aaron left, Jane cleaned the table with Ellie. Ellie rolled up her sleeves and took out all kinds of cake-making materials.
Jane said, "Go have a rest. Let me do it."
But Ellie asked, "Can you do the same as I do?"
"I feel you look down on me a bit, don't you?"
"It's not like that. I gave my promise, so I should fulfill it. I said I would make one more cake for Edward. Of course, I'll do it with my own hands. If you also want to make, you can make one more."
"I don't care how much flour will be used, but Edward will feel very uncomfortable after eating two sweet, milky cakes," Jane muttered inwardly.
The kitchen was big. Ellie was making her cake on the cooking bench, and Jane was washing the bowls. Both of them were busy, but it didn't stop them from chatting. They chatted about themselves-Jane's work in S City and Ellie's daily life.
Before 10 a.m., Jane called Intra-City Express Service to send the cake to Edward. In the package, there was a small card with a few words: "The cake today has less sugar than the one last night."
According to Justin, Edward liked the sesame cake she made very much, which was not so sweet, however. Presumably, sweet food was not something he liked very much, but he wanted to try something new.
After cleaning the apartment, Ellie immediately went to the guest bedroom to change, saying that she would go out. Jane asked sincerely, "Aren't you tired?"
Ellie turned her head and asked, "Are you tired? If you are, we'll go out only after a rest."
Jane saluted her, showing her admiration.
Ellie entered the guest bedroom, and Jane went into the master bedroom to change. The phone beside her rang. She picked it up and saw Ken's name.
If this happened in the past, she would probably pretend she did not notice it. But things had changed. A few days ago, she had mistakenly thought that he was the one who had played the trick at the birthday party, but she had soon been proven wrong, so how could she keep ignoring his call without feeling ashamed?
She swiped to the answer button and politely said, "Mr. Garcia."
Ken let out an "oh", as if he was surprised. "You answered my call so quickly today?"
Jane felt guilty. Before Ken could say anything, she apologized, "Sorry, Mr. Garcia."
"What's wrong?"
"I found the thief at the birthday party. Sorry for what I did unreasonably earlier."
Knowing what she meant, Ken spoke of his purported suffering, "Because of that, I was sad for a long time..."
To be frank, Jane did not really feel his sadness, but it was her fault anyway. "I'm sorry," she said sincerely.
Ken asked, "So how do you want to compensate me?"
Jane did not immediately give her answer.
After waiting for a while, Ken said without caring what she was thinking, "I think you should treat me to dinner, right?"
Jane answered, "Okay."
Ken, who seemed to be smiling, asked, "When? At noon or in the evening?"
Jane answered, "In a few days, okay?"
"Look at you! You want to put it off again and again?"
"No. I'll be busy for a few days."
"Busy? You'll have appointments each day?"
"My family came to visit me. I'll be with my family for a few days."
Ellie came over with her clothes from next door and happened to hear that. She asked, "Who is it? Is someone asking you to go out? Go! Don't care about me. This afternoon I'll go to a beauty salon where there are a lot of handsome boys..."
