Chapter 161 Dream Comes True on Birthday

Chapter 161 Dream Comes True on Birthday
She had no idea Aiden find her today because of the thing happened on the 19th.
Jane thought that it had something to do with Edward or Ken. As for Aiden and the people around him, who were considered as great guys, definitely got nothing to do with those dirty things.
But Aiden said he found out it was Bobby who did it.
Jane met Bobby for the first time that day and knew that he was Aiden's classmate and roomate. He looked humorous and kind, and even his some occasional jokes wouldn't make people feel uncomfortable. She thought that the people around Aiden were all as nice as he was.
But it turned out that there were so many things that should not be taken for granted and he was just not who she thought he was.
In an instant, Jane not only despised her sixth sense, but also despised her stereotype towards Edward and Ken. She douted them and only trusted her own self-righteousness. If Aiden hadn't told her the truth face to face, she would have doubted whether the person who told her the truth had ulterior motives.
Human paranoia was really terrifying.
Seeing Jane's cold face and silence, Aiden took the initiative to say, "It's my fault that I didn't guard the people around me and didn't take care of you. The way to deal with Bobby is my personal decision and if you have any other ideas, just tell me and I won't stop you. He did do something wrong, and no one can help him."
As a boss, Aiden has already done what he should do, impartially and fairly. But after working with Bobby for years, he couldn't personally send him to jail.
So he reserved part of the rights to Jane. If she wanted Bobby Smith to go to jail, he would not say anything.
After being silent for a long time, Jane said, "Just leave it at that, I respect your decision."
Aiden wanted to see some emotions on Jane's face, but she just stayed indifferent and calm.
He said, "Bobby is my classmate and also a partner who have been working with me for many years. But I won't be partial to him, you don't have to think about me."
Jane said, "At the dinner that day, I heard him talk a lot about when you two were in college, including the early days of your startups. I could feel that he cherished this friendship and was proud of his achievements now. And now since he has nothing, this is the harshest punishment for him."
Like no guns for soldiers and no legs for dancers. Bobby has lost his friendship and successful career which he was most proud of. Nothing could be more ruthless than lost eveything when one got a spring on his step.
Aiden was a little surprised.
What surprised him was not Jane's refusal to pursue further investigations, but her calmness and rationality. She only met Bobby once but even knew his weakness.
In fact, Aiden could send Bobby to jail. Restaining his position, and making this unpublicized, it would be fine over time. Living in this era of laughing at the poor but not the rich, people were all being snobs.
But Aiden couldn't stand it. He couldn't work with such a person. Outsiders said he was indifferent, and Bobby also said that all they could see was his inhumanity. But in fact, what could really showed his cruelness was that he could gave up the relationship which has lasted for many years decisively. Faced with principles and bottom lines, he treated everyone in the same way.
Being too reasonable, he was like an emotionless machine.
"I'm so sorry." Aiden said. His voice was not deep but clear.
Jane said, "You don't have to say sorry to me, and you don't need to blame yourself. Even good friends can't bear everything for each other, especially mistakes."
"I know there are some mistakes can't be made up with a simple apology." Aiden said.

Jane has guessed what he was thinking, and she said bluntly, "Fortunately, nothing happend to me that night. And also I had dealt with it in time. Otherwise I think I would not be so rational, and I might want to kill him."
At this moment, what Aiden saw in Jane's eyes was sincerity and calmness. It was a different look. Almost subconsciously, he said, "It's good to see you're right."
Jane smiled slightly. "Good things happen to good people."
Aiden said h'm.
After a brief silence in the room, Jane suddenly asked, "Is the gardenia alright?"
Aiden paused for a while, and then replied, "It's good. My grandmother said that the pot was too small, and it was not good for growth. So she changed a bigger one."
Jane said, "My aunt also said that it was not convenient to use a large basin during transportation and asked me to change a bigger one when came back."
Aiden said, "My grandmother also asked people from hometown to send soil, saying that the soil in S City was not as good as that in H City."
Jane couldn't help laughing. "You can buy the acid soil online which will be more convenient."
Aiden said, "When one get old, everything in hometown is much better than other places. When I saw the gardenia that day, I suddenly burst into tears and felt homesick."
Jane asked, "Does your grandma also live in S City?"
"Yes, she lives with me. "
"It's great, I miss my grandmother too. When I was a child, my grandmother's front yard and backyard were full of gardenias, which could make my nose feel greasy sometimes. "
Aiden said, "If you are free, you can take your grandmother to come and play. "
Jane smiled and missed her grandma very much. "She is in the heaven." she pointed up.
Aiden looked down and picked up the teapot to pour tea for Jane. She immediately pushed the teacup forward and heard him say, "Well, there are gardenias in the heaven too."
Jane's heart suddenly softened, she hurriedly looked down, said yes and then pretended to drink tea.
Then the two just chatted about H City and Y City. Only then did Aiden know that he was in tha same high school with Jane and he was just several grades older than her. So when he entered university, she was in junior school.
Jane said, "Do you remember Mr. Johnson who taught physics? "
"Johnson?"
"Yes, we counted privately that Mr. Johnson mentioned you at least 30 to 40 times in class every month. Once a day was normal and he was especially proud of you. If we were a little slack, he would just let us learn from you."
Seeing Jane inmitated so vividly, Aiden smiled.
They were born in the same city, went to college in the same city, and now worked in the same city. Some people thought this was called destiny, but Jane did not tell Aiden that she just stepped on his footsteps and walked over step by step.
Her lunch break was not long. After an hour, the two left the store and stood by the car. Aiden said, "Wait a minute."
Jane thought he had something left in the store, but he entered the cake shop next door. Through the transparent window, she saw him standing in front of the counter and pointing down, then taking out his wallet to pay the bill.
Jane was not a fool. Today was her birthday and he must have heard it when her colleague greeted her.
Not long after, Aiden came out of the cake shop, walked up to her and gave her the cake box, "Today is your birthday. Well, happy birthday. "
Jane lowered her head and took it. It was just like a dream.
On the street, the dark gray Urus slowly passed by. Edward, who was in the driver's seat, turned his head to look at the commercial street. And he saw that Aiden bought a cake for Jane and she even didn't dare to raise her head when she took it. He has never seen her showed this shyness.
