Chapter 158 The Heart of Human Is on the Left, Which Is Partial
As for Amy Young, Jane had already seen her, not only herself, but her talent show at Vincent's birthday party.
Calmly, Jane said, "Don't look at what you shouldn't."
Jennifer responded, "No wonder Edward doesn't like Beth. It turns out that there are better people around him. Well, don't worry. He won't treat you as his girlfriend."
Thinking of his eyes and crotch at that day, Jane was not convinced and said, "I don't like what you just said. Am I bad?"
Jennifer answered, "No, but you don't have that kind of temperament which can arouse men's desire. They all like that. Do you understand?"
Jane deliberately behaved indifferent and replied with only one word: "Oh."
"Don't be desperate. Your breast is a little bit smaller than her, but you still have your face and butt," teased Jennifer.
"Who doesn't have a face and a butt?" replied Jane.
Jennifer couldn't help laughing. She answered, "Snake, its face and butt are the same."
Jane was most afraid of Jennifer telling jokes. Immediately, she couldn't hold back her joy. "Well, no one wants to listen to your dirty jokes. Go to accompany your clients. After staying in the bathroom for so long, you may be thought constipated."
Jennifer disliked it. "It's vulgar."
"You're not vulgar, then don't go to the toilet," answered Jane.
"God knows how much I want to be a fairy."
"It's not necessarily a fairy who doesn't go to the toilet. It may also be auspicious beast Pixiu."
Jennifer made a contrived 'hum' and said, "I'll ignore you."
Jane immediately hung up the phone without saying a word, so as not to disgust the phone.
It was past ten o'clock in the evening, and Jane was about to go to bed. But Jennifer's call made her sleepless. "Edward go to the sensuality as soon as he has recovered, can his body bear it? At that time, he took a cold shower but the desire still didn't extinguish... Hey, he must go there to give vent to his desire," thought Jane.
Jane turned over and forced herself not to woolgather, especially thinking of Edward's body. In her life, it was the first time that she had seen a man like that with her own eyes. It was kind of scary.
With her eyes closed, Jane was about to fall asleep in a daze when the phone suddenly rang. She opened her eyes, picked it up, and saw the screen displaying the words 'Ken' incoming call.
Jane resolutely let it go and didn't answer.
Soon, Ken sent her a text message: I'm downstairs at your house.
Then followed another one: 202, right? If it's not convenient for you to come down, I'll go up.
Seeing that, Jane took a deep breath and dialed it back.
Ken picked it up quickly, and said "hello" with a smile.
"What's up?" asked Jane.
Ken answered, "I can't call you just to chat?"
"It's very late now, and I have to go to work tomorrow."
"Okay, I need to talk to you."
Jane didn't say anything but just waited.
"How are you doing recently?" asked Ken.
"Good," Jane answered with her voice as usual.
"Everything is fine?"
"Yeah."
"Can you stop saying only one word each time? It's so cold."
"Okay."
Ken said with a chuckle, "Are you doing this with everyone, or just with me?"
Jane simply stopped talking and thought, "Don't you know?"
Ken continued with certainty: "Got it. It seems that I'm the only one. So, I'm quite honored to be different from others."
Jane remained silent with nothing to say.
Ken kept silent for a moment. Then, seeming to restrain his joking expression, he asked: "Aren't you in trouble?"
"No."
"Did Edward force you?" asked Ken.
Jane was suspicious. Ken called her in the middle of the night, probably not just to harass her. He repeatedly asked her if she was okay, and mentioned Edward. Could it be possible...
Calmly, Jane said the same word, "No."
"If he forces you to do something, don't have to feel wronged. I will stand up for you," replied Ken.
This time, it was Jane's turn to ask, "What are you trying to say?"
Ken was rarely silent. He seemed to be difficult to speak.
Jane said calmly and neatly, "You want to know what happened after I left Aiden's party on the 19th."
Ken was noncommittal.
With anger instantly gathered in her eyes, Jane exclaimed, "It's you."
Hearing that, Ken immediately answered, "What are you thinking about? If it's me, will I offer to call you?"
Jane kept silent. Ken said, "It was Edward who came to show off. He seemed to take his undeserved gain for granted."
Edward?
Jane was stunned for a moment and panicked. "How could Edward tell him what happened that day?" she thought. But then, she quickly realized that Edward was not such a person. He must have asked Ken about the drug, but Ken misunderstood something in the process.
Jane was more suspicious of Ken since Edward had asked him.
Not hearing her for a long time, Ken asked suspiciously, "You really doubt me?"
Jane replaced it with silence.
"What's in it for me to do this? Oh, I drug you, and then I send you away. Who am I going to send you to?" asked Ken.
Jane said with absolute certainty, "It's not from Edward."
"Why are you so sure?"
Jane answered, "Because he didn't do anything to me."
This time it was Ken's turn to stay silent. After about five seconds, his overjoyed voice came from the phone, from small to large.
Jane frowned lightly. She always felt that Ken was transformed from a fox since he looked handsome but terrifying when he laughed, and his laughter also made people feel that he had evil intentions.
Ken was really happy. He said with a smile, "Oh, I didn't expect Edward to have a conscience."
How could Jane know that Edward hadn't told Ken the truth so as to keep his face. She just didn't want people to think that she suffered from something.
The more Ken thought about it, the more he smiled. "Okay, I understand. I understand everything."
"What do you understand?" asked Jane.
Ken replied, "Don't worry, it wasn't done by Edward, neither by me. I will definitely give you an explanation."
Being a revengeful person, Jane did not refuse. There was no need to say about what she was incapable of doing. But since there were people who were ready to help, she also wanted to know who was so sinister.
Ken laughed and wiped away tears on the other end of the phone. Jane felt that something was wrong with him, so she quickly said, "If it's okay, I'll hang up."
Ken took back his smile and said seriously, "I'm very happy to know that you're fine."
Jane was not someone he could flirt with. Without blinking her eyelids, she replied calmly, "Thank you, goodbye."
After hanging up the phone, Jane lay on the bed with her eyes open. She thought carefully again about the whole thing. After thinking about it, she found that some things couldn't be done just by thinking, but only by evidence. After all, there was too much subjective consciousness in it.
For example, she instinctively believed in Aiden, and everyone in his party;
She instinctively guarded against Edward and Ken, because they were notorious;
But after she was drugged, Edward did not touch her, and Ken took the initiative to call her. Whether it was sincere or fake, she was becoming more and more unclear. It was also the first time that she had begun to seriously think about it, whether she was as strong enough as she imagined to work in such an environment.
