Chapter 154 The Bully Is Back
As a result, Jane and Justin had fun for ten minutes. Jane didn't ask Justin to get up, and Justin didn't sleep for another ten minutes.
After Justin got up, Jane asked a very serious question, "In the future, if we have this situation again, who's in charge?"
Justin replied to her with a bedhead, "Of course me."
Jane asked, "Why?"
Justin answered, "My birthday is one day earlier than yours, so I'm the superior."
Jane almost laughed to death, and she hard raised the corners of her mouth, saying, "I'm twelve years older than you! Why don't you count the years?"
Justin said, "You ask me first. I had my birthday first, which means I'm in charge."
Justin was unreasonable. He got out of bed and headed for the bathroom. Jane was behind him, helping him tidy up the bed, and she said, "Why did you and Henry suddenly go to the company to buy more classes? Don't you think there are too many classes? Do you want to have classes forever?"
Justin said without looking back, "Your birthday present."
Jane smiled and said, "I don't celebrate my birthday on that day. My birthday is on the lunar calendar, and it will be in a few days. Do you want to send me another one?"
Justin said, "People really have thicker skin as they get older."
With a 'clang', Justin closed the bathroom door.
Ten minutes later, Justin washed up, and Jane brought him breakfast. They sat at the table, one eating and one checking homework. Jane said, "I know you're kind to me, but don't spend money in this way in the future, okay? This is adults' business. You two went there, and my colleagues would think that I must enchant you to spend money for me."
Justin said without changing his expression, "Uncle Edward agreed."
Jane was turning pages and hearing Justin's words, she lightly paused her movement. Then she said, "We'll talk about this when you grow up and earn money by yourself. Now you are now generous at the expense of others."
Justin took a glance at Jane and said, "When I grow up and earn money, do I still need to hire tutors to help with my homework?"
Jane calmly looked at him and said, "If you don't need, your children always need."
Justin said, "When my children are old enough to be tutored, how old are you? Will you retire?"
Jane said, "It's never too late to teach. I will sacrifice myself to help all the students in the education field."
Justin rolled up his eyes and said, "Don't talk about this with me, and I won't increase your salary."
Jane said, "Please send my words to my leader anonymously. Whether I can get a promotion or have a salary increase counts on this.
Justin said, "I can send it to my Uncle Edward in real name, and he will give you a salary increase."
Jane looked over sideways and said in a serious manner, "Justin, I need to remind you that I'm not a money-lover."
Justin asked, "Is that so?"
Jane said, "Yes."
Nothing was absolute, and Jane wanted to laugh after saying these words. Justin was actually happy while he put on a serious expression. He knew that Jane wasn't affected by his Uncle Edward as she still made fun with him.
Children who hadn't been with their parents since childhood were always more sensitive. Even if they didn't say something, they knew clearly in their heart. Everyone around Justin treated him very well, but he was still inherently sensitive. He was very concerned about the people he cared about, such as Edward, such as Jane, who came to him later.
He hoped that Edward could get close to Jane, but he was also afraid that they didn't get along well. He was afraid that he couldn't find a balance between Edward and Jane.
Jane thought the same as Justin did. She was afraid to meet Edward in his house, and she knew Edward would still be peaceful with her in front of Justin. However, she was guilty and a little awkward.
After classes in the afternoon, Jane and Justin went downstairs together and coincidentally ran into Edward who was about to go out. Justin called him, "Uncle Edward."
Jane tried to look as normal and said, "Mr. Smith."
Edward answered her and then looked at Justin, saying, "I won't be home for lunch, and you guys can eat together."
Justin asked, "How do you feel today? Feel better now?"
Edward nodded and looked at Jane, saying, "Thank you for the drinks."
Jane didn't expect Edward to take the initiative to speak to her and even thank her. After a slight pause, she immediately replied to him, "You're welcome. Do you think it's working? I'll bring some more tomorrow if you like it."
Edward said, "No need. I've recovered."
After greeting, Edward walked out. Jane followed Justin to the dining room, thinking about whether she was overthinking or not. Maybe Edward didn't care at all, and she didn't have to feel guilty.
Jane didn't know that Edward just forgave her.
For one thing, Edward didn't want Justin to be worried. For another, Justin was right that he didn't need to co
After resting at home for several days and getting two injections, Edward felt better now. He drove out and came back again.
On the way downtown, Edward's phone rang. He picked up the call through the Bluetooth connection, saying, "Darren?"
The man laughed and said, "Edward, are you busy? Sorry to disturb you."
Edward said, "It's okay with me. Say it."
Darren said, "I just wanted to ask something from you."
Edward asked, "What's about?"
Darren said, "Did you hire a new tutor called Jane Cooper?"
Edward said with a smile, "The news spreads so fast, and you even heard about it in Z City?"
Darren laughed and said, "Your news can't be blocked by only a sea."
Edward said, "Well, why do you ask this?"
Darren said, "I accompanied my friend to make a business deal in S City. The opposite didn't know I know you, and he drank some wine, so he began to brag. He said Ken Garcia was his good friend, and he also know Aiden Cater. Your tutor also taught his little sister. My friend also has a child, so my friend asked if he could introduce the tutor to him. The opposite thought my friend wanted to sleep with your tutor, so he said that he could introduce her to my friend, but he needed extra money. He indicated that he could do anything if my friend could do that."
Darren continued, "I thought he was unreliable, so I decided to call you to remind your tutor. Keep alert, or she may be betrayed by others easily."
Edward asked, "What's the man's name?"
Darren said, "James Wright, do you know?"
Edward didn't answer but asked, "Are you together now?"
Darren said, "We just finished dinner, and he said he will treat us to the Redmoon Club in the evening."
Edward asked, "When?"
Darren said, "Eight o'clock."
Edward said, "If you're not busy, come to find me at Moonshadow. Let's drink some tea."
Darren laughed, "If Edward wants to meet me, I will definitely go to you regardless of anything. Wait for me."
After hanging up the phone, Edward drove to the Moonshadow with a black face. He met Darren there. They drank some tea and chatted for a while. In the evening, they went to the Redmoon Club together.
Darren wondered why Edward stopped asking halfway before, and now he understood. Every injustice had its perpetrator and every debt its debtor. Edward wanted to trouble James.
Edward walked straightly, saying without looking somewhere else, "Don't worry about your friend's business. I will make business with him unless you are worried about yourself."
Darren immediately smiled obsequiously and said, "Come on, Edward. If I were such a person, I would not call and tell you."
Edward said with a smile, "Later there are a few good projects. You can try some if you're interested."
Darren said with eyes flashing, "I don't need to consider if you say they are good. I'll follow you."
