Chapter 178 He deserved Her courage

Chapter 178 He deserved Her courage
Aiden's expression didn't change as he said, "Ask the public relations department to draft a letter of apology for Bobby."
"I see."
The assistant turned and left. Sitting on the guest chair, Ken raised his eyes, looked at Aiden, and asked, "Why does Bobby have to apologize?"
Aiden said, "We'd better solve this problem before it becomes worse."
Ken changed the topic and said, "Are you familiar with Jane?"
Aiden didn't speak and looked down at the document. Ken's expression was meaningful as he said, "She can't help you for no reason. You should be careful."
Aiden still didn't speak. Ken continued, "It really surprises me that Jane is so protective of you. It seems that she's willing to help you despite all kinds of difficulties." He smiled, "In the final analysis, it's because you're charming. Women are willing to do everything to help you."
Ken liked to tease Aiden most. He loved it when Aiden's prim face darkened more and more.
Aiden said calmly, "You're more charming than me."
Ken sighed, "Alas, I'm not so charming anymore. Someone dared to say that she didn't like me in front of me."
Aiden mocked him with an expressionless face, "She is very lucky."
Ken said, "Now I know why she said she didn't like me. It's because she likes a man like you."
Aiden paused slightly and then looked up at Ken. Ken said with great interest, "Yes, she's Jane. She told me that I was not her type. I wonder if she likes Edward. After all, she said she didn't like me. If she likes Edward, I must win her heart and steal her from Edward."
Aiden's eyes darkened and he said, "Don't get Jane involved in the resentment between you and Edward. She's innocent."
Ken leaned closer to Aiden and asked with interested eyes, "Do you like her?"
Aiden didn't say anything. The look in his eyes implied that he thought Ken was boring.
Ken smiled and tried to sound out Aiden. He said, "I have become principled since I have known you for so long. Now I have two basic principles. First, I must get the woman who Edward likes. Second, I will never cast a greedy eye on the woman you like."
Aiden was unconsciously amused and said with a serious face, "Don't get women involved in men's business. If you do too many immoral things, God won't forgive you even if you donate millions of dollars to the church every year."
Ken laughed unconcernedly, "Do you believe in God? If God really exists, why did God fail to save my mother? She believed in God for many years."
Aiden said, "She believed in God because she wanted God to bless you."
Ken laughed more and more sarcastically, "I'm afraid that God will be so angry and become a devil if he sees what kind of life I'm going through now."
Aiden said, "You ask for it. You don't want to live a peaceful life."
Ken looked away and said, "Now my life is good. Don't try to persuade me to be like you. Your life is tiring."
Aiden didn't want to persuade Ken to shun evil and do good. Everyone had his own pain in his heart, and they always had to find a way to vent their emotions. For Ken, the best way to vent his emotions was to go out and indulge himself. If he no longer wanted to be out on the tiles one day, it meant that something big would happen.
Aiden said neither coldly nor warmly with no expression, "Don't get close to Jane."
Ken glanced at him and asked, "Why?"
Aiden said, "She is my alumni."
"Come on. Bobby is even your classmate."
Aiden said, "She is not a tool you can use to compete with Edward."

Ken deliberately fiddled with his bangs lazily. Obviously, he didn't take Aiden's words to heart.
Aiden looked at Ken for a few seconds and finally said, "She is someone I value."
Ken raised his head, stared at Aiden with smiling eyes, and asked, "Do you have a crush on her?"
"You can assume I like her. Don't make things difficult for her."
Ken rested his chin on his hand and said, "Let Jane work by your side. It's okay if you don't want to lure her with your handsome face. You are her boss. You're charming enough to stop her from working by Edward's side, aren't you?"
Aiden said without blinking, "She is my employee, not my pawn."
Ken said, "Everyone can be a pawn in this society, right?"
Aiden said, "I take you as a friend."
"Tut..." Looking at Aiden's serious face, Ken didn't have the heart to tease him anymore. What was wrong with Aiden? He was not only stodgy but also boring.
The assistant knocked on the door and came in with the apology statement drafted by the public relations department. Originally, the apology statement was drafted for the head office. Aiden read it rapidly, picked up his pen, and revised it. He added his apology for the incident in the statement.
Ken asked unhappily, "Why do you apologize?"
Aiden said, "I didn't remind him in time."
Ken was so angry and he laughed, "Are you his parent? Didn't you see how Jane replied to the haters online? Even parents have no obligation to take responsibility for their adult son, not to mention that you're Bobby's boss."
Aiden's expression didn't change as he said, "Bobby and I used to be friends."
In his world, friends were very precious. Friends should remind each other not to go the wrong way. He felt guilty because he never knew that Bobby had such a hobby. If he knew it and reminded Bobby earlier, such a thing wouldn't have happened to Bobby.
Ken didn't argue with Aiden. He knew that Aiden was such a man. Aiden also gave him earnest exhortations because Aiden was afraid that he would be errant. Aiden even reminded Dean kindly. Ken had restrained himself a lot since he became friends with Aiden.
Ken refused to admit that Aiden did the right thing, but he knew clearly that he preferred to indulge himself because he couldn't be as self-controlled and kind as Aiden.
After drinking half the coffee, Ken got up. Aiden asked, "Are you leaving?"
Ken said, "Why should I stay? Should I stay here and watch you write instructions on documents?"
Aiden said, "Don't worry. The argument won't last two days."
"Who told you I'm worried?" Ken raised his eyebrows and looked disgusted.
Aiden said very calmly, "Just leave. I have something to do."
Ken walked out while yawning. It could be seen that he was worried, but he was in denial.
Aiden picked up his phone and dialed a number.
Jane felt hopeless. She never wanted Aiden to know what she had done. What was the use of letting him know? Could she claim the credit or please him? What would he think of her? Would he think she was overbusy or think she had impure intentions?
When Jane was worried, her phone rang. Seeing Aiden's name, she shivered and straightened her back. She was stunned and comforted herself for a few seconds before answering the phone.
"Hello?"
"Hello, Mr. Cater." Jane tried to keep her voice as bland as usual.
Jane blushed all of a sudden. Although she had been well mentally prepared, she felt so nervous and subconsciously said, "I'm sorry that I made the decision without asking you..."
After hearing what she said, Aiden said, "Thank you."
