Chapter 183 If He Doesn't, Someone Will

Chapter 183 If He Doesn't, Someone Will
After walking out of Edward's private room, Jane walked across the corridor quickly and took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down and be rational. It was she who made a fool of herself, she couldn't blame him for being angry. He was right, it was none of her business. And she was Justin's teacher, not his.
Coming to her senses, Jane stood in the corridor calmly. And after thinking about it for a moment, she decided to make some phone calls. Since Edward didn't want to help, she would.
She first called Jennifer whose father's business also involved import and export trade. Jane asked her to ask if there was any chance to cooperate.
Jennifer repiled tersely, saying that she would talk to her father face to face when she came home in the evening. Hanging up the phone, Jane called Charles.
The phone got through. "Charles, you've got a wide connection. Is there anyone who is engaged in import and export trade of the building materials which are in stock and can be sent at any time?" Jane asked.
Charles knew that Jane did not owe a favor easily. He even didn't ask who she was working for and just said directly, "Okay, I'll ask it for you."
"Thank you, Charles."
"No worries, I'll keep you posted."
Jane felt a warmth from Jennifer and Charles' response and regretted asking Edward for help even more. He could have rejected her in private, but he just embarrassed her in front of everyone. She knew he did it on purpose, as for the reason, Jane bagan to recall the past. The last time they met was on the night of her birthday and he was normal when he clinked glasses with Ellie. But just after a few days, he changed, there must be a reason.
After thinking about the cause and effect, Jane was calm. To Edward, she was just a springboard for him to fight against Aiden Cater. While she didn't notice it in time and was just looking for trouble.
Edward was right, she was nothing.
Faced with a business competition which worth hundreds of millions or even greater, reason wouldn't work and anyone could be a pawn. Don't define a person you've only known for a short time with wishful thinking.
There was an elevator right in front of her. Jane took the elevator downstairs and returned to the private room.
She pushed the door and came in, and all the people in the room looked at her. Ellie's expresson was the most complicated because she knew that Jane was in a dilemma and felt hard to refuse them.
Lily stood up directly, with worry and expectation in her eyes. "Jane, how's it going?"
Jane looked as usual. "I just contacted Mr. Smith and told him the situation roughly, but he is very busy now...."
Lily was so disappointed, and Miranda across the table hurriedly asked, "Didn't he say if he would deal with it?"
Jane shook her head slightly. The private room was quiet, and after a while, Fred said first, "Jane, sorry to trouble you."
Jane said, "I'm sorry, it didn't work out."
Fred said, "Don't say that, we have already caused you a lot of trouble."
Miranda thought that if Jane asked Edward Smith for help, there would be a result. After all, it's not NW Company's fault. But they were not qualified to speak in front of Edward Smith. While who knows, even Jane could not work it out.
She couldn't help worrying. "It is said that Edward Smith is very arrogant and will always help the people around him to cover up their mistakes. Since I have never seen it before, and don't believe..."

Fred was very sensitive and interrupted in a low voice, "Mom, stop it."
Although Jane was Ellie's niece, no one could guarantee that she would not say anything in front of Edward Smith. The whole Gino family could be suffered just because of a word.
Miranda paused for a moment, then looked at Jane and explained, "I'm not complaining about Edward Smith, I just heard that..."
Jane said, "Though I don't have much dealings with Mr. Smith, I know he fully respects that business is business. Having such a big business with so many things to deal with, he may not have time now. And I've asked two friends just now to let them find if there are people in the building materials business around them. If there are suitable ones, you can contact each other, and get the goods out first. As for other things, may be some other time."
Miranda nodded again and again. After all, Fred was a businessman, he picked up the glass on the spot to give Jane a toast. Seeing this, Lily also poured a drink and thanked her a lot.
In fact, they were actually not sure whether Jane had asked other people for help or not, or they even didn't know whether Jane had asked Edward Smith or not. But now they were asking her for help, so they had to show a right attitude.
Jane just had a drink with them, and before she put down the cup, the phone rang. She picked it up and saw that it was Charles.
Jane stood sideways and get through. "Charle." she said softly.
Charles said, "Which company does your friend in the building materials business belong to?"
Jane said, "Ning Wei."
When she said this, several people all looked at her again, with their eyes filled with confusion and hope.
Charles said, "Okay, I'll tell Aiden later, we're now having dinner together. I just asked him, he said that they had need for this and would ask someone to contact you tomorrow."
Jane paused and said, "Thank you, Charles. And please say thank you to Mr. Cater from me."
Charles said, "Okay, he is right by my side, you can tell him by yourself."
Jane was going to refuse, while the people on the phone has already changed. After a few seconds, here came a familiar male voice. "Hello."
Jane instantly became nervous, and hurriedly responded, "Mr. Cater."
Aiden said, "It's too late now, and I will let someone contact you tomorrow. Or you can now send me their numbers, and I'll ask someone to communicate first."
Jane said, "I'm not in a rush, and you can enjoy your meal first. I'm so sorry to disturb you."
Aiden said, "Don't mention it, we are just talking about business when having dinner. You can send the number to Charles later."
"Okay."
Then the phone returned to Charles, Jane relieved and hung up the phone after chatting with Charles for a while.
The people on the table were all looking at her. Jane looked at Fred, and told him the content of the phone call. Knowing that Aiden Cater was going to contact NW Company, Fred was overjoyed, and words could no longer express his excitement. He poured a full glass and gave Jane a toast.
Lily even burst into tears, saying that in the future, she would do what she could do to help Jane.
Knowing that Aiden Cater was also a very powerful figure in S City, Miranda immediately praised Jane, and couldn't help feeling emotional holding Ellie's hand.
Jane was highly praised by the three, but she was still not quite happy. This was the business of Edward's company, but he didn't care about it at all, and Aiden Cater took it over. What she could only wish was that Edward didn't mind and would forget all about this. Otherwise he would has his head in the clouds again.
