Chapter 96 Not Only Peeling Garlic But Also Scallion

Chapter 96 Not Only Peeling Garlics But Also Scallion
Jane went to the Perez family on Thursday, and Mrs. Perez politely took the initiative to greet her, "Miss Cooper, you are here."
Jane was somewhat flattered and hurriedly nodded in response. Mrs. Perez said, "Henry is waiting for you. You can go and have classes, and we'll talk later."
Jane was smart. She went into Henry's room and asked him who was a little fat and doing sit-ups, "Did you get your exam results?"
Henry was counting, "One hundred and forty-seven, one hundred and forty-eight..."
After finishing one hundred and fifty sit-ups, Henry took the pillow behind him away and limped on the bed. He looked at Jane and said, "Guess how many points I got on the test?"
Jane turned her head to look, and there was no one outside the door. She lowered her voice and said, "Your mother is extremely kind to me today, so I guess you did well in the exam."
Henry showed her a number gesture of eight to Jane.
Jane asked, "Eighty points?"
Henry shook his head proudly and said, "Eighty-eight points."
Jane was also happy and stepped forward to give him a high five, "Well done."
Henry said, "I have a request."
Jane said, "Say it."
Henry said, "I won't be on your team of soccer at weekend"
Jane replied quickly, "OK, I'll be on a team with Hunter." Justin also wouldn't be on a team with her.
Henry finished his rest and sat up. Jane asked in a low voice, "Hey, does the girl you like see you in a new way?"
Henry blushed and looked down. He kept silent for a while and then said, "She asked whether I cheated or not."
Jane reacted quickly and encouraged him, "You don't understand a girl's heart. She was too shy to praise you directly for your progress, so she had to express her surprise in a joking way."
Henry said, "I can't guess what's in her mind. Anyway, she likes boys who are good at studying, so I'll study well to impress her."
Jane said, "You did so well in this exam. What do you want? I will give it to you."
Henry raised his eyes and said, "I told my mom that I'll go out for a day on the weekend without people following me."
Jane asked, "Did she agree?"
Henry said, "Yes."
Jane said, "This is your mom's gift, and I'll give you another one. What else do you want?"
Henry got up, and when he walked past Jane, he said, "Don't be on a team with me the next time we play soccer either."
Jane turned her head and said expressionlessly, "That's too much. It hurts me."
On the weekend, Jane got up at the same time as usual. She turned on the computer to do free online Q&A and ate something casually at noon. Henry, Justin, and Hunter came on time, and they went downstairs to have a tough soccer time.
After they played soccer, it was just 2:00 p.m. Jane said, "Pack up. Let's go to the supermarket."
Justin asked, "Why do we go to the supermarket?"
Jane said, "Don't you know that Henry got the thirty-sixth place in the class in this Physics exam? I'll treat you to dinner at home tonight to celebrate for Henry."
Justin seriously said, "What's the special meaning of the thirty-sixth place?"
Henry said calmly and coolly, "There are only thirty-five places away to the first."
Justin said in a low voice but with jealousy, "I scored more than one hundred points, and she just bought me a box of fried dumplings."
Jane said, "You are a junior high school student, but Henry is a senior high school student. Next time you do well in the exam, I will also specifically invite you home for dinner."
Justin didn't deny it, but he was clearly unhappy for not being the first one.
Henry and Hunter walked in front, talking about games. Jane walked beside Justin and said, turning her head to him, "You can order a few dishes, and I'll make them for you."
Justin asked, "Will you make whatever I want to eat?"
Jane replied to him, "Sure, as long as the ingredients are available in the supermarket."
Justin ordered several complicated dishes in a row, and Jane said they were all fine. He looked at her with suspicion, "You are going to poison me, aren't you?"
Jane said, "Don't worry, I'm still afraid that your Uncle Edward will trouble me if I do this."

They went shopping in the supermarket. Jane was the king in the supermarket, while the other three didn't know anything about food ingredients, never moved their four limbs, and couldn't distinguish the five crops. Jane introduced food ingredients to them while shopping. Before they left, Jane said to Justin and Henry, "Your Uncle Edward and your brother should consider giving me a salary increase."
Henry was honest and didn't say anything. Justin asked, "Why don't you ask for money from brother Hunter?"
Jane said, "After all, he just gave some advice to the game as the user before. I don't want to be ungrateful."
Justin said to Hunter, "Brother Hunter, don't buy the game when it's released. I send you a set."
Hunter showed an OK gesture to Justin and said, "I'm waiting for your words."
After the purchase, Jane carried the lightest two bags, followed by two boys and a man carrying bags heavy bags. They drove back to the Rhine Garden together.
Henry and Justin thought naively that they could leisurely play games with Hunter and wait for dinner after they returned. However, they didn't expect that upon entering the room, Jane said, "Everyone gets an apron here. Pick vegetables, wash vegetables and fruits, and allocate the work by yourselves."
They looked at each other and almost shouted together, "I'll wash the fruits!"
Hunter gave up first and said, "Okay, I'm your brother. I quit."
As Hunter said so, Henry pursed his lips and said to Justin, "Then you wash the fruits."
Thus, Justin got the easiest work by his age advantage.
In the kitchen, Justin stood in front of the sink washing fruit, next to Henry who was washing vegetables. Behind Justin, Hunter and Jane stood side by side. Hunter was picking vegetables and Jane was showing her excellent knife skills.
After picking vegetables and peeling garlic, Hunter said, "Who wants to eat prawns with garlic?"
Henry said, "It's me. What's wrong?"
Hunter said, "Come and peel garlic with me after washing the vegetables. I hate peeling garlic."
After playing soccer and games several times, they had already been good buddies. Therefore, good buddies could even bend over backward, let alone peel garlic. Henry and Justin began to help Hunter peel garlic then.
Henry criticized the awful smell of garlic while peeling them. Jane handed him a bundle of scallion and said, "You ordered the roasted pork with scallion. Here is the scallion."
Justin, Henry, and Hunter were born in rich families, and their matrons always arranged everything for them. Hunter helped Jane cook sometimes, but the other two knew today that it was difficult to prepare a meal. They made up their mind that they wouldn't mind cooks cooking the unpalatable meals again.
Jane cooked eight dishes and one soup, and during the cooking process, she taught Henry to make his vegetable salad and Justin how to use the orange to cut a bear. It was 7:30 p.m. when they finished.
They sat at the table and toast to celebrate. Justin and Henry didn't trust Jane's cooking skills, but they couldn't stop eating after tasting the dishes. Especially Henry, he even gave up losing weight tonight.
Happy time always went by quickly. Henry felt he had just sat down when Mrs. Perez called him to remind him, "It's eight o'clock."
Henry just wanted to say that he would come back later, but Mrs. Perez said, "I'm downstairs, waiting for you to come down."
Instantly, Henry felt a little upset. He replied to his mom and hung up, trying to maintain a happy expression. He said goodbye to the other three. Jane wanted to send him downstairs, but he refused.
Henry came downstairs alone, and the car was parked at the entrance of the Rhine Garden. Henry opened the door and sat in. Mrs. Perez said, putting on airs, "It's not proper to stay at others' homes so late." After a pause, she added, "She is a tutor, but after all, she is a woman. Men and women are different, so you should keep your distance."
Henry didn't say anything. Mrs. Perez pulled his hand and said, "We'll go home now, and I asked matrons to make the dishes you like."
Henry pulled his hand, and Mrs. Perez was slightly embarrassed. She touched her nose with her hand. Then she asked in hesitation, "What is the smell of your hand?"
Henry said in a deep voice, "I peeled the garlic, not only the garlic but also the scallion."
Mrs. Perez slightly glared at him and said, "Who told you to do that, Cooper Jane?"
