Chapter 219 He Would Be Good To His Girlfriend

Chapter 219 He Would Be Good To His Girlfriend
Jane began to cook after tutoring Justin. Although she was not sure whether Edward would come here or not, she asked Justin in advance.
"What kind of food does your Uncle Edward usually like?"
Justin said three words slowly, "I knew it."
Jane waited for a while, but he didn't speak anymore. She couldn't help asking, "What?"
Justin said, "You please him for no reason."
Jane said with a faint smile, "What if I have a reason?"
Justin raised his eyes and said, "You seek help at the last moment, and you want to get instant benefits."
Jane endured the impulse to roll her eyes and said, "So, in your eyes, I flatter Edward for a reason, and my intention is impure."
Justin said neither quickly nor slowly, "I have no objection to you getting close to Uncle Edward."
Jane was amused and said, "Why do I feel that you're like an elder who shows mercy and agree to let your progeny get married?"
Justin said seriously, "After observing you for some time, I think you are good enough for Uncle Edward."
Jane immediately cupped one hand in the other before her chest and said, "Thank you. You flatter me."
Since they had come to this topic, Justin asked, "What do you mean? Don't you like Uncle Edward?"
Jane didn't answer him but asked, "Why do I have to like your Uncle Edward?"
"Isn't he a good man?"
"Who says he's not a good man? Don't wrong me with your perverted logic."
"So why don't you like him?"
Jane replied, "Aaron is also a good man. Why am I not with him?"
Justin said without thinking, "Aaron doesn't like you."
Jane replied to him faster, "Does your Uncle Edward like me?"
Justin pursed his beautiful lips and his eyes were alert. It seemed he was afraid that Jane was sounding him out.
Seeing him like this, Jane wanted to laugh. "You started the topic first."
Justin was silent for a moment and then said, "If Uncle Edward likes you, will you be with him?"
Jane rested her chin on her hand and thought seriously for a long time. Then she shook her head and said, "So many people like me, and I have to treat them equally."
With a straight face and somewhat disgusted eyes, Justin said, "Uncle Edward is picky about his girlfriend. He would rather be single than be with someone he doesn't like. Being his girlfriend has lots of advantages and no disadvantages."
Jane said with a smile, "Do you think being in a relationship is doing business? You even mentioned advantages and disadvantages."
Justin's tone was firm. "I'm serious. He will definitely be very good to his girlfriend."
Jane asked, "Who is bad to his girlfriend?"
Justin said, "There are many differences between men. Do you want to have a try?"
Jane raised her eyebrows and said, "Don't think about letting me fall into your trap."
Justin wanted to say that Edward didn't hate Jane. However, the doorbell rang before he could say it. Jane got up to open the door.
It was only seven o'clock in the evening. Jane didn't expect Edward to come so early.
Aaron, Henry, and Justin would come here in ordinary times. so she prepared men's slippers at home. Jane put the slippers on the ground, opened the door, and waited for Edward. Soon, the elevator door opened and Edward came out. He was in black leathers.
Jane smiled and said, "Mr. Smith."
Edward walked to the door and raised his hand. He was carrying a big brown suitcase in his hand. Jane subconsciously took it. It was much heavier than expected.
Edward changed his shoes and said, "It's a set of bowls and plates. You will need it when you move to a new house."
Jane thought it was his, but it was for her. She immediately said, "Thank you, Mr. Smith... You're so generous."
Edward casually said, "Someone sent it to me as a gift. I don't need it."
Jane led him in. Justin greeted Edward in the kitchen. Jane said, "Please sit down first. I'll get you a drink."

Edward took off his coat and only wore a white round-neck sweater. It was made of cashmere, looking soft and warm. Jane couldn't help but want to touch it.
Jane entered the kitchen and came out with a cup and a plate in her hand. In the cup, the drink was made of red dates and other things. She said, "It's red dates and snow pear soup. Have a test and see if you're used to drinking it. This is osmanthus cake, a snack in my hometown. You'll like it."
Edward said calmly, "Thank you."
Jane said, "Do you want to watch TV? Would you like me to turn it on for you? I have a PSP. You can play it if you want."
Edward didn't know whether it was because he came to her house for the first time, or it was because he went to Forward Education to help her in the morning, but he felt that Jane was particularly enthusiastic this day. She was so enthusiastic that he was at a loss.
In a trance, he glanced sideways at the kitchen and asked, "Haven't you cooked yet?"
Jane immediately said, "I'll cook soon. I'm making preparations now. Is there anything you want to eat?"
Edward said, "Whatever."
Jane said, "Please wait for a while. I'm going to cook."
She walked to the kitchen. Edward picked up the cup and took a sip. It was sour and sweet. The taste of red dates was rich. He drank more and then tasted a piece of osmanthus cake.
It was said that beautiful women were useless, and there were no good-looking and dexterous women in the world. They could buy a lot of things in the shopping malls, but don't think about letting them cook in the kitchen. However, Jane was an exception. She looked pretty, had a wide knowledge, and she was good at doing sports and cooking.
People around Edward knew that he was picky. Almost no woman could attract his attention, and they couldn't win his heart.
Even Edward felt that he couldn't meet his soulmate ins his life, but God didn't believe it and sent Jane to him. She wasn't even born in this city. They had too many chances to miss each other, but they met due to the slim chance. It was not fate, but God deliberately arranged for them to meet.
Edward looked in the direction of the kitchen again. Jane and Justin were both busy, and they were muttering something. Listening carefully, he found that they were discussing physics problems.
The brown suitcase was put aside. Edward picked it up, opened it, and took out a whole set of bowls and plates. Then he got up and went to the kitchen.
Seeing Edward, Justin opened the glass door for him. Jane turned around.
Edward said, "Wash them now, and you can use them later."
Jane put down her knife and said, "I'll wash them."
Edward walked to the sink and said, "Just cook the food."
Jane said, "Put them here. I'll wash them later."
Edward had taken the gloves and said while putting them on, "I'm a guest, and it's not good for me to sit there and wait."
Jane said, "I should wash them because it's my treat."
Justin interrupted them and said to Jane, "Why don't you be polite to me?"
Jane was speechless.
After Edward came to the kitchen, it became quiet. Justin gathered the trimmed vegetables and put them beside Edward. "Uncle Edward, wash the vegetables later. I'll go out and finish my exercise first."
Look, what an obedient and hard-working child! They had no words to refute him.
Justin left, and only Jane and Edward were left in the kitchen.
Jane couldn't let Edward wash the vegetables. She quickly steamed the ribs, walked to the sink, and took the vegetables.
The house was one hundred and forty square meters in area, so the kitchen was not small. There were two basins in the sink. They stood side by side. Although there was a distance between them, their backs looked warm and ambiguous.
Edward was washing the dishes very slowly. He said, "Put the vegetables there. I'll wash them." Jane couldn't tell whether he was just being polite or he was sincere.
Jane said, "No, I wash fast."
Edward said expressionlessly, "Don't you blame me for washing slowly?"
