Chapter 33 Both Are No Milksop

Chapter 33 Both Are No Milksop
Jane suddenly glanced at Garcia with cold eyes, as if she was irritated by him. She said without thinking, "Please watch your words. I have nothing to do with the feud between you and Mr. Smith, and I'm just an outsider. I've never provoked you, but why do you always embarrass me?"
"My boyfriend is in the opposite room. We've known each other since childhood. For me, he took the exam to come to Y City from D City, and I came to S City from Y City for him. I don't want to get involved in an unwarranted struggle, and I don't want that the relationship between me and my boyfriend is ruined by some rumors!"
She was like a hedgehog poked in the stomach, instantly erecting all the quills and flushing.
While Garcia seemed to be a little surprised, Jane made efforts to pretend to be annoyed, but she was extremely sober in fact and wanted to laugh. If Hunter knew the tear-inducing love story between him and her, he must ask who the hero was and whether he was the hero or not.
People in the room kept silent for a few seconds. It was hard to recognize Garcia's emotion, and he said with a half-smile, "Did I embarrass you? I didn't even touch your fingers."
Jane understood when to stop, so she slightly eased her tone and said, "I used the wrong words because I'm not good at getting along with strangers. Then, I won't disturb you."
She nodded slightly to Garcia and wanted to leave.
Garcia suddenly said, "I'll walk you out."
Jane felt panic, and he had already stood up and walked around the table to her side. Noticing that she was a bit nervous, he said with a light smile, "What happened? Are you afraid of me?"
Saying that, he suddenly stretched out his hand, and Jane instantly stepped back, staring at him sharply. However, Garcia just pulled the door handle, and he did it deliberately.
Jane had longed for opening the door for a long time. Garcia stood aside like a gentleman and let her go first. When Jane had her back to Garcia, she was so nervous that the back of her brain was numb. She wished that she could go out while staring at him.
Garcia followed Jane out. She was not sure what he was going to do, and she finally stopped to look at him as she walked to the center of the hotel lobby.
"Is there anything else?" She asked.
Garcia was very tall. Although Jane was 1.73 meters high, he still needed to look down at her. With a half-smile emerged on his fair face, he deliberately kept silent for a while and then said, "I was thinking whether you lied to me or not."
Jane's heart skipped a beat, but she still kept calm and said, "Did I lie to you?"
Garcia said, "Is your boyfriend in that room?"
Jane said without blinking her eyes, "Of course he is."
Garcia said frankly, "Then I have to meet him."
Jane frowned slightly and asked, "What do you want to do?"
Garcia laughed, "You love your boyfriend so much. Where can people find such a good woman? But I need to remind him that Edward is not the wisest choice for you. He is not a good person."
Jane thought, "I've never seen anyone worse than you!"
Without waiting for her response, Garcia stepped forward. He said while walking, "It's room 109, isn't it?"
Jane quickly followed and said, "Could you please don't bother my boyfriend? My friend is also there."
Garcia said, "Don't worry. I know what I'm doing very well. I won't trouble you."
Noticing that room 109 was three meters away, Jane rushed to block Garcia in the critical situation. Then Garcia dropped his eyes to look at her.

Jane scowled at him, but she still said politely, "Mr. Garcia, I have never offended you and will not offend you in the future. As we had no grievances recently and in the past, please don't take me down. I really don't want to be an enemy with anyone, and I don't have the ability to do so."
She frankly surrendered to Garcia, hoping that he still had a little humanity to understand her.
Garcia stood still and looked at her. Upon seeing his handsome fair face, she thought that the man was innocent and pure, but she knew that he actually was rather sly, which was totally contrary to his look.
As a matter of fact, he said, "I'll give you one more chance."
The bell in Jane's heart alarmed. Garcia asked, "Did you lie? Think about it."
Jane wanted to confront the tough with toughness as Hunter had already pretended to be her boyfriend many times. However, she didn't know what Garcia would do, and she didn't want to get Hunter involved if she went for wool and come home shorn.
After a few seconds of weighing and judging, Jane slightly lowered her eyes and said softly: "I lied to you."
Garcia was amused by her defeated expression and said in a nearly gentle voice, "You don't have to be disheartened. I won't do anything to you."
Jane didn't say anything. Garcia said, "If you don't want me to trouble you, it's alright, but I have a condition."
Jane looked at him and still didn't speak, with precaution and implicit resistance in her eyes.
Garcia ignored her emotion and said, "This is the second time we met except that time we were in the car. The city is so big, but I feel a connection to you."
Jane said in her heart, "Bullshit!"
Garcia said, "If you come across me next time, you can't pretend that you don't know me. You have to take the initiative to say hello to me."
Jane was not happy about it, but he didn't mean to discuss it with her. She was also eager to get rid of him and asked, "Is that all?"
Garcia smiled lightly, "That's it."
Jane nodded, "OK."
Garcia said, "Go inside."
He suddenly became so generous that Jane felt unfamiliar with him. She was wary in her heart, turning around and going in the direction of the room.
The door of the room had just closed when Jane saw Hunter and Baker getting up and heading out. She asked, "What are you doing?"
Hunter asked, "Isn't Smith in room 101?"
Jane said, "Yes."
Baker pointed to the phone on Jane's seat and said, "Just now your phone rang, which was from Smith. I was afraid that he had something urgent to find you, so I asked Hunter to answer the phone. Smith asked where you were, and Hunter said you were taking a shower. He didn't say anything, and then he said you were looking for him and asked Hunter to tell him where you were."
Jane was confused, and she could perfectly replay what had happened just now. Smith knew that she was with Garcia, but Hunter was wary of Smith. Other people would cooperate well with each other in that situation, but they were not in tune at all.
Without more explanation, Jane walked to the table to pick up the phone and said, "I'll give him a callback. You guys eat first."
Taking the phone to the outside, Jane called Smith, and the call was quickly answered.
She said, "Hello, Mr. Smith."
Smith said in a deep voice, "Where are you?"
Jane said, "I'm still at the hotel. I just heard from my friend that my boyfriend answered your call. He came later and thought I was still at home and didn't go out. I'm sorry."
Smith asked, "Where is Garcia?"
Jane was about to answer, but she saw in the corner of her eyes that the door of room 101 was open. People walked out of the room, among whom Garcia was the most eye-catching man. Garcia suddenly turned his head towards her side, and Jane met his eyes. It was too late to hide, so she was still and nodded to him. Garcia saw her, smiling, and then he turned around and walked away.
"Hello?" Smith's voice came from the phone.
Jane hurriedly replied, "Mr. Smith, I'm listening. Garcia has left."
