Chapter 67 You Love Me the Most
Continue the class.
These words made Natalie remember the standing posture lesson that occurred in front of the window wall yesterday night. The scenes were constantly replaying in her mind.
At that time, the glass window reflected her face. She could see herself biting her lower lips and half-closing her misty eyes. Every trace of her sweet and charming behavior was clear.
Immediately, Natalie's drowsiness dissipated. She opened her eyes and said while feeling ashamed, "Luke Bennington! Why do you have so many nasty thoughts!"
Luke laughed.
He bent down and placed his arms on both sides of Natalie's pillow. He gently brushed away a few strands of hair beside her cheeks with his fingertips.
"I wasn't teaching seriously." He said with innocence, "Why are you glaring at me?"
Natalie sunk half of her head into the soft pillow. In front of her, there was a handsome face that could be said to be perfect. The person in front of her was smiling lazily toward her.
Natalie took a look on Luke and another look and again...
She suddenly found herself couldn't express her annoyance anymore.
"That..." Natalie was having a hard time speaking her thoughts. She whispered, and her voice was hoarse due to waking up, "Will I be able to learn it?"
"That, is what?" Luke asked playfully.
He was asking even though he knew what Natalie meant.
Natalie pursed her lips and looked into Luke's eyes without speaking.
Men always liked to tease their girlfriends until they were shy. Seeing their girlfriends blushing because of themselves would give them a sense of satisfaction.
It was the same for Luke.
Luke's lips came closer and kissed Natalie's warm face. He hugged Natalie in the quilt and smiled, "Isn't the teacher here? I'm always ready and can teach you anytime, anywhere."
Luke had just washed his face with cold water a while ago. His cheeks were against Natalie's and were chilly. However, his breath was warm.
Natalie was wandering between the cold and hot sensation.
Luke asked in a low voice again beside Natalie's ears, "Let's continue the teaching tonight, okay?"
When Natalie woke up from her sleep, her nightgown was rolled up. While whispering, Luke tugged off the layer of lace naughtily.
Natalie's face turned red-hot immediately due to shame. She glared at Luke with bashfulness.
Natalie's ears and neck were in blushing red. Knowing that he would need to stop teasing her, or else she would rush over to bite him, Luke caressed Natalie and said in a warm voice, "Okay, get up. Let's go to take pictures."
Take pictures?
These words made Natalie come back to her thoughts. She asked with curiosity, "What?"
"We've been together for so long, and you haven't taken a group photo with me. Isn't it ridiculous?" Luke said slowly.
Natalie didn't get what he meant. She thought that it was enough to take photos using a handphone. However, it seemed that Luke wanted to go somewhere specifically.
"... What group photo?" Natalie asked again in puzzlement.
Luke was amused by Natalie's confused appearance. He lowered his head, pressed his lips to her auricle, and asked, "Identification photo. Do you want to take one with me?"
It was easy to know what was an identification photo for couples.
Natalie was stunned, and her mind turned blank for a while. She held her breath while waiting for Luke to explain more. However, Luke didn't keep going.
Why didn't he explain more... The more Natalie thought about it, the more she couldn't stay calm. She lifted the quilt abruptly and ran into the bathroom with her slippers.
Standing in front of the mirror, Natalie's mouth was full of foam. A toothbrush was moving between her teeth, and her mind was already drifting away. She was immersed in her thoughts.
"Did he just propose to me?" Natalie thought. If so, couldn't he be more serious...
Without making it clear, how could she ask further?
That day, Luke brought Natalie to a photography studio. Her questions were quickly answered.
It turned out that he was just teasing her when he said that they would be taking an identification photo together.
Natalie couldn't tell what she was feeling at that time. She was a little disappointed but also weirdly feeling relieved. At least on this matter, Luke wasn't as impromptu as she originally thought.
It was a private photography studio. Expectedly, the owner of the studio was also Luke's friend.
Luke really had a huge network in Athana.
The owner's surname was Robert. Robert had a shaved beard, and from his appearance to outfit, one could tell that he was an artistic man. He was a few years older than Luke and was a person who seemed sophisticated and mature.
Robert served as their photographer on that day.
Luke was leaning in front of the workbench. In front of Robert, he smiled at Natalie and said, "Robert is capable. He has won many international photography awards. He only decided to shoot the session after knowing that you were coming. I don't have that honor."
Natalie knew that he was joking.
It wasn't because she came, but Luke's girlfriend had come. The respect that the others gave her were all stemmed from Luke's love for her.
"It was because Mr. Robert was kind." Natalie said surely. She then continued the sentence with a low voice, "Not like you, who's full of tricks."
Robert laughed.
"Look at how well the girl speaks." Robert pointed at Luke and said with a joyful tone, "Ah, finally there's someone that could control you."
Luke crooked his lips and smiled.
He fixed his gaze on Natalie and placed his hand under her chin. He used his fingertips to caress Natalie's chin, "My Nata is very capable."
Since Natalie was accustomed to his teasing, she didn't answer him. She glanced at him and let him speak whatever he wanted.
Robert was surprised to see their lovey-dovey interaction. He didn't anticipate that Luke would become obedient to a girl.
Until now, Natalie still didn't know why they came to the studio purposely to take pictures. She asked Luke again about what they were going to shoot.
"Luke wanted to take a set of pictures in the military genre." Robert responded on behalf of Luke. He waved to the clothing area and turned back with a smile, "Modern military uniforms cannot be photographed. We can only take pictures with military uniforms in the early 20th century. Military uniforms are almost the same. Once you find the right one, the feeling will be right."
A staff approached while carrying a few sets of new clothes. Natalie looked over and saw a blue-gray imitation of an early 20th century military uniform .
Natalie was surprised for a moment. Then, she looked at Luke with amazement and joy, "Military uniform? This style?"
"Didn't you say you want to see how I'll look in the uniform yesterday night? You acted like you're so unhappy." Luke pinched Natalie's face and smiled, "I can't wear the one from the army casually. So, let's use this as a replacement, okay?"
Yesterday night, after Natalie mentioned that she wanted to see how Luke would look in his uniform, Luke immediately asked someone to find a way after she slept. Robert then told him about the new military uniform in the studio. He thought that it would be similar and asked Luke to give it a try.
Knowing that Natalie would like it, Luke decided to bring her here today.
Taking artistic photos was what little girls liked to do. For men, these kinds of activities were considered childish and boring.
Natalie didn't expect that someone as arrogant as Luke would be willing to accompany her to do these kinds of childish activities.
At that moment, Natalie decided to forgive Luke's bad taste in some matters. She only felt that Luke was like a figure from fairy tales that could satisfy all of her fantasies.
"Then what should I wear?" Natalie's eyes were full of anticipation and joy.
The female staff smiled, "We have several sets of Estain dresses in the studio. Please feel free to choose what you like, Mrs. Bennington."
Natalie was stunned and she suddenly felt embarrassed. She spoke in a low voice, "No, I'm not Mrs. Bennington..."
Natalie was ashamed and was purposely not looking at Luke. After she spoke, she flew to the clothing area in small steps.
Luke was leaning there and didn't move. Looking at Natalie's back, Luke's eyes were full of smiles.
"Not Mrs. Bennington? You haven't set things up with the girl yet?" Robert asked teasingly.
Luke glanced at Robert with his lips slightly crooked. He straightened his hands and stuffed them into his trouser pockets. Then, he walked toward the clothing area lazily, "What's the hurry? She can't run away."
In the end, Natalie chose a burgundy mid-length Estain dress, thinking that it would match the gray-blue military uniform.
Natalie carried the dress into the dressing room and was ready to change before putting on makeup. When the door was just about to close, Luke squeezed in and shut the door.
"I'm changing." Natalie wanted to stop him, but she couldn't.
Looking at Luke having his uniform hooked in his left arm, Natalie realized that he wanted to change clothes together. She murmured, "... Isn't there another room?"
"Click!" Luke locked the door and looked back, "I'm worried that you can't reach the zipper on your back."
With two people standing in the dressing room, it was inevitable to be crowded.
Natalie was gradually feeling ashamed for being with Luke in a small space, "That way, they'll know that we are... together."
She was embarrassed to speak about something that had happened.
Luke smiled, put his uniform on the stool, and said nonchalantly, "What's the matter? Who didn't know about our relationship?"
Natalie raised her eyes to look at him. She couldn't refute.
"Why do you want to see me in a military uniform?" Luke put his arms around Natalie's waist and hugged her. He grabbed the bow-knot ribbon on her dress and pulled slowly.
Luke's deep voice sounded above Natalie's ears. Across the door, they were standing very close, and their whispering made them seem to be having a secret affair.
The thought of them staying in the same compartment made Natalie's heart racing, "I just think..."
She had never seen the calm and solemn side of Luke.
Natalie's voice paused because she could feel that the ribbon behind her had loosened. The hidden zip beside her waist was also slowly being pulled down. Natalie tried to focus and continue, "You must be very heroic in an uniform. It will be a pity if I've never seen it."
Luke's chuckle sounded beside Natalie's ears. He didn't say anything.
When Natalie turned around suspiciously, his lips approached and kissed her in her low whimper.
Natalie held her breath suddenly.
She knew that he had this kind of impure motive!
However, Luke had a sense of propriety. After kissing Natalie for a while, he let her change her clothes. He only looked at her and didn't do anything.
The Estain dress fit Natalie perfectly. The stand-up collar had slanted plackets and buckles. The split skirt made her legs look graceful and made her look elegant and enchanting.
An Estain dress could bring out the inner charm of a woman. It was also the first time that Luke saw Natalie wearing one. He couldn't help but glance at her frequently.
Seeing Luke staring at herself, Natalie thought that he was having some nasty thoughts again. She snorted and turned away to go to the makeup room.
After putting on the makeup, she looked at Luke, who was sitting aside while waiting for her.
Luke had already put on the uniform. From the jacket to the trousers, the drape, the boots, the braided rope chain, and the gloves.
He looked handsome. Even with a military uniform, he still had the temperament of being dignified but was no longer arrogant. Usually, he looked like a villain, but now, he looked righteous.
Natalie dazed for a while.
No wonder when he showed up in the makeup room, there were a lot of exclamations of amazement.
Luke was really handsome.
Probably because Natalie was in love with Luke, she felt that Luke was more good-looking than his usual self. She was almost infatuated and couldn't take her eyes out from him.
The shooting was done indoors. Although Natalie was a girl, she was someone who rarely took pictures. She was inexperienced and was worried that she wouldn't look good in the camera.
Every time the shutter clicked, she would ask to confirm, "Did I smile?"
Then, she would ask hurriedly, "Or the smile didn't look good?"
On the contrary, Luke smiled calmly throughout the process. He comforted Natalie, saying that this shooting was just for fun, and asked her why she was acting more nervous than taking wedding photos.
Natalie looked at him complainingly and told him that photos were for storing memories. In the future, when they turned old, they would look at them every day. So, it was important to have a good smile.
Luke's smile deepened. He said okay, and told her that the shooting would continue until she was satisfied.
Robert was really professional, and the shooting went well.
When they left the studio, it was only evening.
The car was driving towards Flower Street. Natalie was sitting in the passenger seat. The sunset outside the window was like gouache paints spilling out. It was colorful and beautiful.
Seeing her quiet all the way, Luke freed one of his hands from the steering wheel and rubbed Natalie's hair, "What are you thinking? Are you tired?"
Natalie pulled back her thoughts and looked at him. She asked in a serious tone, "I was thinking whether I'll be lucky enough to meet another Luke in my next life."
Luke turned his head and glanced at Natalie's eyes. He smiled and replied seriously, "Be obedient and stay away from other men. Wait for me to come and find you in the next life."
"Okay." Natalie grinned gently, "You love me the most."
Luke gave a thought, "That's not exactly true."
"What not true?" Natalie frowned as she wasn't happy with Luke's response.
While driving, Luke smiled and replied slowly, "The one who loves Natalie more than Luke was the Luke of tomorrow."
