Chapter 43 Tongue
When Natalie came to her senses, she was stunned.
He lightly pressed his wrist against her neck. With his height, he could easily corner her in a gentle gesture.
Natalie was still stunned by his sudden appearance.
But she was flustered by his intent eyes.
He was like a hunter whose eyes were filled with lust and greed. He was starting at her, as if he was deciding where to start.
There was no need to ask and the reason for his return was obvious. She already agreed to be his girlfriend.
Being choked at the neck, Natalie could only look up at him. At this point, when he asked something from her, she couldn't ignore it.
"Aren't you... catching the plane?" Natalie pressed her hands against her chest, trying to keep some distance between them.
Luke lowered his head further and touched her forehead, "You didn't let me go."
She could feel his warm breath. He came back in a hurry and was still panting a little.
Natalie held her breath innocently, "I didn't..."
"Give me a kiss." He whispered.
When she agreed to date him on the phone, she didn't expect to meet him again half an hour later.
She was nervous and speechless.
Luke pressed his thumb to her cheek and stroked gently and slowly, "Don't you want to?"
No...
She couldn't help biting her lips, and said with a girl's shyness and restraint in her voice, "I just agreed to date you. How can we..."
Lifting her eyes to look at him, she looked weak and soft, "I'm still sick."
Luke looked at her eyes, and held her slender waist, and persuaded patiently, "But I want to."
She felt itchy again.
She stopped talking and bit her lips.
"Don't bite your lips." Luke slid his fingers over her lips and pressed them.
Natalie became more nervous and confused and relaxed her teeth.
With a chuckle, he suddenly lowered his head and kissed her on the lips. It felt warm and soft.
Her body tensed instantly and she clenched the collar of his shirt in shock.
Even when she woke up in the same bed with him today, she had to grab something when she made out with him.
Her lips were very warm. Her eyelashes quivered with her eyes tightly closed and she didn't dare to breathe.
Luke's lips moved away a little. He smiled when he saw her face and kissed her again.
His kiss was passionate.
If he gave her a deeper kiss, she would probably faint.
Before it was over, Luke kissed her lips very lightly, which made Natalie feel limp. He held her waist and lifted her into his arms.
Natalie felt dizzy. She rested her face on his shoulder, and flushed.
"Okay." Luke moved his lips to her ear and she still seemed stiff in his arms. He touched the back of her head, and smiled, "Relax. What are you afraid of?"
He just kissed her on the lips.
But Natalie's mind went blank. She was holding her breath for too long and it was the first time she was so close to him. Of course, she was shy.
Her heart was beating fast, and she didn't know what to do next.
He hugged her quietly without making a sound.
Then he whispered in a hoarse voice, "I'm going."
Natalie froze, and gradually came to her senses.
After she agreed to date him, he came all the way to kiss her... He was so sweet. She shouldn't have misunderstood him.
Natalie pressed her face against his shoulder and neck guiltily, "OK..."
She raised her head and moved away from him.
Seeing her blushing with his kiss, Luke couldn't help laughing and stroking her rosy cheek, "No more kisses?"
Natalie couldn't tell whether he was teasing her on purpose or being serious. She pushed him with little force and murmured, "Just go..."
Indeed, there could be no further delay. During the half an hour when he came over to see her, there were many calls from Athana to urge him to go back. The case of Bretton Pharmaceutical was at a critical moment now. At this juncture, if he was not there, his enemies at the company could take advantage of the opportunity to make him suffer.
But she was so beautiful. After getting on his private plane, Luke still decided to go back to see her
He caught her by surprise.
"Wait for me." He said before he left that day.
Their relationship just started when they had to separate.
But Natalie felt much less anxious and more hopeful. She wasn't as hopeless as before.
Perhaps it was this experience that gave her confidence. She knew that as long as she asked him to, he would come over to see her anyway, though she wouldn't do so on purpose. She felt more at ease.
A few days ago when they were disconnected, she felt so insecure because she didn't even know if she would see him again.
Her cold was not severe enough, and she went to work after a day of rest.
Luke complained about it on the phone, demanding that she should really take better care of herself.
Natalie was in the quiet corridor that day. She said softly with a smile, "I will. Take care of yourself too."
Luke agreed immediately.
Natalie suddenly realized that they were really in love. He wouldn't have been so sweet in the past.
Natalie leaned against the wall and said softly, "I miss you somehow."
"Somehow?" He snorted.
Natalie lowered her head and smiled, "Well, aren't you happy?"
It was sunny outside. The spring breeze warmed her face. She smelled the aroma of cherry blossoms. Looking around, she found the hospital surrounded by flowers.
Natalie felt sorry that the cherry blossom season was too short for him to come over to have a look.
On the phone, he kept flirting with her, "What should I do? I want to kiss you very much."
She was pressed against the door that day when he kissed her lips. She suddenly felt shy and didn't answer.
"Open your mouth?" Luke asked slowly.
In fact, it felt good to kiss him. He was considerate and domineering.
But a real kiss was much more than that, and they both knew it.
Natalie blushed when he asked, and said softly, "Stop it... I'm going to take a nap."
But he did not let her go, and said in a low voice, "No?"
But she couldn't resist his further questioning, and promised him to try it when he came back next time.
Their relationship made Natalie experience unprecedented happiness. They chatted almost every day. No matter how busy they were, they would always say good night to each other.
The desire to share was the highest form of romance.
She couldn't help sharing all her daily routines with him, such as walking the dog and going shopping with Mia for a fancy dress.
Luke occasionally sent photos of his day life to her, including the scenery outside the window or just a cigarette case on the side.
Even if he was not around, Natalie felt that this relationship was real.
The case of Bretton Pharmaceutical turned around in late May.
Noah's younger sister from abroad appeared in court, revealing that her brother had invited her husband to explore overseas markets together, and sold the low-cost, high-margin inferior quality products of Bretton Pharmaceutical overseas. She provided evidence of warehouse categories and call recordings.
The regulatory authorities identified the products involved. After investigation, they found it was true, and some of the healthcare products contained ingredients that seriously endangered health.
Noah handled it in a timely and efficient manner. His lawyer took advantage of the fact that the relatives of the deceased could not provide direct evidence, and accused them of blackmailing, so the case was delayed.
Now with hard evidence, the case was irrefutable.
The case finally came to a conviction. Noah was sentenced to life imprisonment, and some informed shareholders, including Carlos, were also liable.
Netizens were paying attention to the case. Once the Athana Court announced the verdict, it became the trending topic quickly.
After the incident, interest groups were formed within the Bennington Group. Although Noah became a prisoner, he was the CEO of the company for the past ten years. His power was deeply rooted, and the infighting of Bennington Group was destined to be a seesaw battle.
Afterward, Harry held a press conference as the chairman of Bennington Group, announcing that Luke became the new CEO of Bennington Group headquarters.
However, the netizens were all distracted by the golden rose bracelet and black hair band on Luke's left wrist.
"Isn't it a couple bracelet?!"
"Is it a black hair band? A girl's hair band?"
"You were all Sherlock Holmes."
"Damn, is he really engaged to Sloane? Please don't! I don't like it!"
"Help! Why? I don't understand."
"Me too!"
...
A few minutes after the press conference, the entries of "Couple Bracelet and Black Hair Band" and "Luke and Sloane" became the top two trending topics.
It was a rest day. The sunshine was getting warmer at the end of May, and the breeze felt gentle on her face.
Natalie squinted her eyes comfortably, and walked leisurely around the community with her dog.
She was wearing a knee-length dress with suspenders and a pair of rose gold earrings Luke gave her days ago.
She was holding the leash with her left hand and her phone with her right hand.
When Natalie sat down on the bench by the lawn to rest, she received a call from Mia, "Nata, check it on Facebook! Your boyfriend made it to the trending topics!"
Since Natalie told Mia that she and Luke were dating, Mia was referring Luke as "your boyfriend" or "your man".
Mia said, "As long as he dares to hurt you, I will immediately... dislike him, even if he is Luke!"
"There's nothing strange about him making it to the trending topics." Natalie stroked her dress and pursed her lips.
Mia explained the situation quickly. At the end of the call, she said she was going to punish him online.
Natalie opened Facebook, and her smile slowly disappeared. She immediately called him.
After it rang five times, it was connected.
She complained in a naturally sweet voice, "Luke!"
"Who makes you unhappy?" Luke smiled.
"You're..." Natalie blurted it out, "fooling around again!"
There was a lot of noise over there, and there seemed to be many people chattering around him. She didn't know if he could hear her clearly.
He just said to her lazily, "Wait a minute."
Natalie frowned. She was angry that he didn't explain it and kept her waiting.
After a moment, he said playfully, "That's it. Be quiet. I'm talking to my girlfriend."
Natalie held her breath.
When he talked to her again, her voice suddenly became softer, "What... are you doing?"
Luke said in a casual tone, "Oh, a group of reporters at the press conference. They're gone now."
A group of reporters!
She fell silent.
Hearing her fall into silence, Luke laughed and said quietly, "I'll go to the airport later."
Natalie was surprised. She pinched the leash, and asked in a low voice knowingly, "What are you going to do at the airport?"
He smiled, "How about you?"
Natalie didn't answer. After two months, she had a premonition that he was finally coming to see her, and she was excited about it.
"Would you like go to the hot spring?" Luke asked softly and temptingly.
Natalie held her breath, "... when?"
He said, "Wait for me upstairs at 2 pm."
Every time he came over so suddenly.
Natalie agreed softly.
Luke arrived at Alcomara at noon. After leaving the airport, he drove to Clovervale Residence in his military green off-road vehicle.
He drove into the community. From a distance, he saw a girl standing downstairs in a floral dress in the sun.
It was summer when he saw her again. They hadn't meet for months.
Natalie saw his car, got in, closed the door, and sat stiffly in the passenger seat.
The day when she agreed to date him, everything happened so quickly, and it seemed that they hadn't looked at each other properly. She could feel his burning eyes now.
Being stared at by him, Natalie tried hard to calm down, but failed. She clenched her fists nervously and said in a low voice, "Long time no see."
She greeted him, as if he wasn't her boyfriend at all.
"It's been a long time." Luke smiled and suddenly pulled her into his arms.
Natalie's heart was beating fast when he kissed her on the lips.
He seduced her in a hoarse voice, "Tongue."
