Chapter 12
Yolanda hadn't expected that only one night passed, Aaron would treat her so nicely.
Aaron seemed to have really changed, beginning to take his responsibility as a brother.
For Yolanda, the most obvious benefit of this change was that from then on, she could live in the room next to Aaron's on the second floor.
Yolanda couldn't believe her ears when she was told by Ms. Twelve that she was going to move upstairs.
At that moment, she finally understood the mood of those concubines in the costume drama who had been locked in the cold palace for many years and suddenly could return to the luxurious palace because of the emperor's favor.
Thanks to God. Yolanda finally waited for this day.
Ms. Twelve said, "Follow me. You don't need to take the things from the previous room. Our master has prepared everything new for you."
Yolanda stepped out of the room happily, but soon she calmed down again.
There was one thing that she must take away.
When she went to a second-hand luxury store that day, she had planned to sell the bag and the cufflinks together. However, although the bag was sold out, the cufflinks didn't.
The reason was that the letter "J" was engraved on the back of them.
This pair of cufflinks was close to 100,000 dollars. Now as Yolanda had gone bankrupt, it was a pity to simply throw them away. Therefore, she took a picture and posted it on the second-hand website, hoping that someone who loved the letter J could buy the cufflinks one day.
This was the only secret she left in this room. Also, it was a criminal evidence, which must be well kept.
Quietly taking back the cufflinks from the drawer, she went to the second floor securely.
As Ms. Twelve said, the new room had been replaced with brand-new high-end bedding, and the wardrobe was full of new clothes. Even the hygiene products in the bathroom were the Hermes' shower lotion with perfume.
Yolanda, the daughter of a former rich family, once again experienced the feeling of a rich lady at her fake brother's house.
Probably because of her good mood, her legs had recovered quickly in the past two days. By the weekend, she could walk slowly without others' help.
Without the wheelchair, she found that she was closer to the normal life. Although the recovery of nasal cartilage contusion was very slow, and her nose was still pasted with gauze, she still felt satisfied.
Clearly knowing that without Aaron, she couldn't get all these things. Therefore, she respected him very much and was always obedient to him, acting as a perfect sister.
However, sometimes when getting along with Aaron, she would think of her own brother Marc Walter.
Being separated from each other at the age of six, she had no contact with him anymore, nor did she know how he was now.
This Saturday, it was rare that Aaron had a rest at home and didn't go to work. At noon, Ms. Twelve had cooked the meal, so Yolanda volunteered to go upstairs to wake Aaron up.
Because of the rapid improvement of her family status, she could now go in and out of his villa freely, as if she were really a member of the family.
She came to him bedroom door, asking, "Brother, are you awake?"
She continued to knock on the door twice. "Brother, come downstairs for dinner!"
She didn't get a response, so she put her ear on the door, intending to hear what was going on inside. Unexpectedly, the door suddenly opened.
Rushing forward unprepared, she naturally bumped into his arms.
Since the last time she slept with him on the sofa, she knew clearly that he didn't like any women to touch him. Although she was temporarily accepted by him now, she absolutely understood his untouchable bottom line.
Thinking of this, she immediately got up and stepped back. Then, she looked steadily forward. "Sorry, I didn't know you would open the door."
Aaron was now wrapped in a bathrobe with his hair wet. He had just taken a bath, so his body was still steaming.
"I see." He didn't seem to care about the touch just now.
"Okay." Then, Yolanda turned around and left immediately, afraid of being misunderstood. It was not easy to get along well with him, so she didn't want to make any mistakes again.
Ten minutes later, Aaron changed his clothes, going downstairs. He buttoned his clothes while talking to Yolanda, "We'll go out after lunch."
"Where?"
"You'll know when you arrive."
She didn't know what to say.
She looked out of the window.
Today was Sunday with great sunshine.
It's really a good opportunity to go out and enhance their relationship.
Suddenly thinking of all kinds of pictures of them chatting in harmony, she nodded with a smile. "OK."
After lunch, they got on the car together.
Because it was a private trip, Aaron didn't ask Happer to drive, but drove the car on his own.
The radio in the car played light music, and the sun was shining on her warmly. Sitting next to him, she felt extremely comfortable.
At this rate, it would not take long for her to stabilize the relationship with Aaron as his "sister". After that, she could slowly penetrate into his social circle. Then it wa just around the corner to find an opportunity to revenge James.
Everything was under her control.
Half a month ago, she was shrouded in a heavy haze. Unexpectedly, a car accident saved her. Now her mood was as sunny as the weather outside.
She should really thank Aaron.
Thinking of this, she couldn't help exclaiming, so she turned to look at him.
"Brother, if you are well, it will always be sunny." She said slowly and affectionately with a wink.
Aaron didn't know how to answer.
Just then the radio music stopped and the host started to broadcast the report happily.
"Then, let's take a look at the weather in the next 24 hours. It is expected that there will be a wide range of rainstorms and snowfalls from tonight to tomorrow, so there may be mudslides and landslides in some areas. The Meteorological Bureau has issued a yellow warning. We should be prepared in time..."
A hush descended over the car for a few seconds.
Yolanda stroked her fringe calmly. "Sorry, I didn't say anything just now."
Half an hour later, the car stopped at the door of a villa around the lake.
He got out of the car, telling her, "Wait for me here. I'll call back soon."
"OK."
As soon as he left, she received a call from Victor.
Startled, she quickly muted her mobile phone. Looking at Aaron's back, she made sure that he would not turn back for the time being,
"Hello, Victor, what's the matter?"
"Miss, is it convenient for you to go back to Darlington recently?"
"Go back? Why?"
"Some procedures of the auction house property need your signature. After all, it's under your name."
She was silent.
Stunned for a moment, she asked, "Do I have to sign it myself?"
Victor replied, "Yes. By the way, Mr. Watler has been very upset recently. If it's convenient for you, you'd better come back and see him."
He mentioned her father. Yolanda was very worried and she knew that she had to go back.
But how could she leave Capital now?
After hanging up, she began to consider the excuse for leaving Capital. However, she had lied to Aaron that she had lost memory, so it seemed that there was no way to leave at all.
She leaned back to the back cushion irritably.
Inadvertently, her arm touched the storage box and something fell into the back row.
Looking down, she saw that it was a document.
She thought it was Aaron's document, so without much thinking, she bent down and picked it up.
Then she saw the title: Therapeutic Schedule.
Therapeutic schedule?
Puzzled and stunned, she felt that this document had something to do with her.
She immediately looked down. After a while, her face turned white.
Someone had given this report to Aaron and it was about the treatment suggestions for her amnesia.
In short, it was called early defibrillation.
This treatment method was to wake up her deep memory by discharging current to her brain.
She was stunned directly.
Aaron, who was calling someone not far away, turned around, walking in the direction of the car. Seeing him, Yolanda immediately hid the document behind her back.
Aaron made a sign to her, asking her to get out of the car, At the same time, he continued to make phone calls.
"Well, I'm at the door. I'll bring her there."
"Get prepared."
Yolanda was speechless.
According to what he had said and the document she had just read, she understood in an instant.
It turned out that he didn't intend to have a happy weekend with her, but he wanted her to receive an electric shock! He wanted to torture her!
She instantly thought of the painful scene that she was tied to various instruments on the bed.
Seeing that she did not move, Aaron opened the door and urged, "Get off."
She didn't say anything.
She knew there was danger ahead, but she had to go.
What else could she do? This was the treatment plan given by the doctor. Could she refuse it?
What was her purpose? If she refused to accept the treatment, it was obvious that she intended to stay at his home all the time.
It came so suddenly that she was unprepared and didn't even have an emergency measure.
Worried, she got out of the car and followed him, but she kept looking up as if she wanted to ask something. However, she didn't do so.
Seeing her walking more and more slowly, he turned back and asked, "What are you doing?"
Looking up at him slowly, she paused. Then she came up to him.
"Brother, my stomach hurts."
"Weren't you all right just now?"
"Well," Yolanda immediately made an excuse, bending down to press her stomach. "I suddenly have menstruation."
She thought that such words could win his sympathy.
In this way, she wouldn't have to accept the therapy today.
However, he came and grabbed her wrist, walking forward. "It's all right. You'll be fine in a moment."
She was speechless.
He showed such determination that it seemed that he really decided to make her receive an electric shock today.
He must be angry because of what she had said in the car just now, and he must think that she was cursing him.
All right.
Originally very uncooperative, she suddenly stood up straight.
She comforted herself that it was just a electroshock. She had experienced bankruptcy, lovelorn and car accident. Would she still be afraid of such trifles?
She could regard it as an experience of life. It didn't matter at all. Anyway, she wouldn't die.
Since she planned to revenge, she must face all challenges bravely.
She seemed to be indifferent to everything when she persuaded herself, so she calmly said, "Please give me a stick to bite later."
She thought that she could take the electroshock, but she couldn't let him see her embarrassment.
This was the bottom line of being a beauty.
He frowned at her, confused.
With a dying heart, she was taken to the door of a villa by Aaron, and a man came up. "Mr. Jensen, long time no see."
Aaron also shook hands with him. They exchanged greetings before talking about her.
"Is she the healer?" The man asked.
He nodded. "Thank you, Peter."
Peter turned back to show her the way. "Come with me, Miss. Mr. Jensen, please wait outside the door."
Although she had made psychological preparations, she couldn't help feeling nervous when she entered the door.
The room was not big, quite like the little black room. A woman gently took her to a bed, whispering, "Relax. Just lie down."
Lying down, Yolanda tried to breathe deeply. When the other party came forward with a tool, she rubbed the ground and sat up again.
"Sorry, can you give me a piece of paper and a pen? I'm afraid after I've been electrocuted and dead, no one will inherit my inheritance."
Stunned, the woman then smiled gently. "Don't be afraid. Our hypnotic meditation treatment doesn't use clicking. Just listen to the music and follow what I say."
Yolanda opened her eyes wide. "Hypnosis?"
While Yolanda was receiving the therapy, Aaron sat in the courtyard outside the villa, waiting for her.
Peter made him a cup of tea. "It will be soon. About half an hour."
Aaron nodded. Then he thought of something, asking Peter, "Did you see a woman wearing a black velvet dress at the last performance in Darlington?
Peter was the head of the symphony orchestra at the last concert. Aaron had known him for many years.
Peter thought about it for a long time with a frown. "I didn't notice. Why? Are you looking for her?"
Aaron wanted to say something, but he still didn't say it.
Sipping his tea, he looked into the room where Yolanda was inside. "Is this meditation really useful?"
"My wife specializes in this course, and the best cellist of our group will perform in person this time. Don't worry. By the way, you just mentioned the concert..."
Pausing for a while, Peter then turned the topic back. "We will go to Darlington again in two days. A guest listened to our performance at the last concert and loved it very much, so she invited us to play on her birthday next week."
"Guest?"
"Well, it seems to be...Wendy Watts."
