Chapter 13
Yolanda had heard of hypnosis before.
The hypnosis she imagined was like a game of telling the truth, and one's secret would be exposed if he was not careful.
When the woman told her that she was going to have hypnotic meditation therapy, she was relieved of fear of electric shock. But she still needed to remain vigilant.
After all, she pretended to lose her memory. If she was hypnotized and broke out the secret, Aaron might kill her.
Yolanda lay down obediently. The woman lit a scented candle, and the beautiful woman on the other side played the cello.
"The hypnotic method today is the one that can bring you back in time. Relax."
Her voice was soft, which made Yolanda feel relaxed.
This was not good.
Yolanda pinched her thigh and told herself to keep sober!
After that, when the therapist told her to relax, Yolanda was highly vigilant.
The doctor told her to imagine a calm sea in front of her, but she instead thought about an erupting volcano.
When the woman told her to picture herself on a canoe in the center of the lake, she thought about dancing barefoot on the red hot wire.
In short, they fought against each other for ten minutes.
Erin Scott, who is the wife of Peter Ruiz and also the therapist, opened the door.
"Mr. Jensen."
Aaron raised his head and looked at his watch, "Isn't it going to take half an hour?"
"Yes." Erin pointed inside helplessly, "But she is asleep."
This was an unsuccessful treatment.
Erin still told Aaron, "I can see that she is very uneasy deep in her heart, but I haven't found the reason yet. You might as well pay more attention to her in life and be careful of her feelings. It will be good for her."
Yolanda slept for an hour.
When she woke up, she found herself lying in a strange place. After a few seconds, she suddenly came to her senses.
Damn it! She was hypnotized just now!
Then she sat up immediately.
She didn't know why she fell asleep when she was fighting against Erin. But more importantly, she didn't know if she had said anything after she had fallen asleep.
Now the room was very quiet. No one was there, and only a faint after-smell still surrounded.
Flustered, Yolanda carefully got out of bed and gently pushed the door open. She saw Aaron sitting in front of a glass table in the courtyard of the villa.
He seemed to have heard the noise and cast a glance at her from a distance. His eyes were still sharp as if he could see through her little tricks at a glance.
Unable to find any clue from his eyes, Yolanda clenched her hands nervously. After thinking for a while, she decided to wait and see what would happen.
She pretended to be calm and walked to Aaron. She saw that Peter and Aaron stood up together and they shook hands again.
"See you in Darlington then."
"Okay."
Upon hearing this, Yolanda was stunned. Was Aaron going to Darlington?
While she was thinking, Aaron said to her, "There you are."
Gathering her wits together, Yolanda nodded and asked cautiously, "Brother, did the doctor tell you anything?"
Aaron looked at her indifferently, "What do you think?"
These three words could mean something, which let her scalp pins and needles.
Yolanda's legs were weak and her confidence was almost drained, but she managed to stay calm, "I don't know."
Aaron sneered, "Of course, you don't know. Erin has been treating people for more than 10 years. You are the first one to sleep and snore from the beginning to the end during the treatment."
All of a sudden, Yolanda felt relieved.
So she must have been sleeping all the time without saying a word?
And if she said anything, Aaron wouldn't be like this.
Great!
Yolanda heaved a sigh of relief. Just as she was glad that she had escaped, her attention was drawn back by the word "snore".
How was that possible?
How could she snore!
She immediately explained, "I'm very quiet when I sleep. I don't snore."
But Aaron was not interested in her explanation. He turned around and walked towards the parking lot.
Yolanda felt offended and followed behind him with small steps and asked, "Did Erin hear it clearly? How could I snore? Brother, please trust me. How about this..."
She cared about her image as a beauty very much, "Come to my room tonight. When I fall asleep, you will know if I snore."
Aaron paused and turned around.
When their eyes met, Yolanda was stunned. She realized that she had said something wrong.
She invited a man to her room at night.
He might suspect that she had an ulterior motive.
She then smiled awkwardly, "Just kidding."
After the two of them got back into the car, Yolanda picked up the document on the seat and patted her chest with fear, "I really thought you were going to give me an electric shock just now."
The electric shock plan was given to Aaron by a doctor whom Bruce knew a few days ago. Sometimes, Aaron felt that Yolanda, his so-called sister who came out of nowhere, was disturbing his life. But she was a woman, and he would not send her to receive that kind of painful treatment to get rid of this burden.
He was not so cold-blooded.
Later, he heard from Peter that this kind of meditation treatment could help relax the brain and restore memory, so he decided to take Yolanda here to have a try. After all, this method was mild, and even if it didn't work, she wouldn't get hurt.
But in front of Yolanda, Aaron didn't want to admit that he had considered so much for her. He deliberately pulled a long face and said, "If hypnotherapy doesn't work, I'll send you to do an electric shock."
Yolanda snorted and put the file somewhere she couldn't see. Then she seemed to think of something and sat upright a little, leaning a little closer to Aaron.
"Brother, are you going to Darlington?"
Aaron nodded.
Yolanda kept thinking about the phone call from Victor.
Signature of the house property didn't matter, but Elbert did! Victor mentioned him on the phone.
After the bankruptcy, Yolanda had called her father several times, but he didn't answer. He only had Victor convey the messages to her.
Yolanda knew that her father was too proud to accept the fact that he had suddenly gone bankrupt, so she didn't force him to see her. Fortunately, Victor was with him all the time.
But now even Victor said that her father was in a bad condition, and she knew that he was really in bad shape.
At this moment, Yolanda was anxious. She wished that she could fly to Darlington right away.
However, with her current image, she couldn't find a reasonable reason to leave Capital. The only thing she could count on was to take the free ride to Darlington with Aaron.
Although it was risky, it was the only way.
According to the radio, the weather on the second day was really bad. It was a violent storm, blowing leaves rustling.
It was Sunday and the weather was bad, so Aaron didn't go to the company.
Seeing him at home, Yolanda went into the kitchen early in the morning.
If she wanted him to agree to her request, she had to pay for it first. She had learned a dessert on the Internet and planned to bribe Aaron.
But she was just a lady who didn't do housework at all. Even if she looked over the menu ten times, she still felt embarrassed about the operation.
It was Cream of Pumpkin Soup, but because she was not skilled at it, she couldn't do it well. After repeating it five times, she finally managed to draw a beautiful heart with the cream.
Ms. Twelve looked at it and said, "Our master doesn't like tricks."
Yolanda put a mint leaf in the soup and said with satisfaction, "You don't understand. This is fun between brother and sister."
Although Aaron didn't go to the company, he got up early to work in his study.
Holding the desserts she had prepared carefully, Yolanda knocked on the door and said, "Brother, are you hungry? Do you want to try the soup I made myself?"
Aaron frowned, "Soup?"
Yolanda put the soup on the table and said, "Cream of Pumpkin Soup."
After saying that, she deliberately made a heart on her left chest with her hands and winked at him, "Your sister's love."
Aaron was stunned.
Glancing at the cream heart in the bowl, Aaron withdrew his sight and continued to look at the iPad in his hand, "I know. I'll drink it later."
Yolanda understood that what he meant was "You can leave now".
But before he had the soup, she had no chance to finish her plan.
She hesitated for a while, picked up the bowl, and walked around behind Aaron, "But the dessert will be cold after a while. How about I..."
Before she could finish her words, she paused, her eyes glued to the screen on the iPad.
She pretended to be curious and asked, "What's this?"
On Aaron's iPad screen, there were two identical pictures of Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival.
Aaron leaned against the seat and asked, "What do you think it looks like?"
After reading it carefully, Yolanda complimented, "I'm sure you're appreciating a famous work. You're so elegant and cultivated."
Aaron didn't say a word. He poked two places on the screen with his fingers casually, and a colorful icon popped up, "Congratulations! You found the 300th different place! You have passed the test successfully!"
"What?"
A game?
She was too careless to flatter him.
At this time, Aaron put down his iPad and said, "What do you want to say?"
Yolanda knew that she couldn't play any tricks with Aaron. Since he had come straight to the point, she didn't have to beat around the bush.
So she showed a shy smile first and then expressed her request.
"I also want to go to Darlington with you."
Aaron glanced at her and said, "No."
Yolanda didn't expect him to turn her down. She asked anxiously, "Why not? I won't cause you any trouble. I promise."
"No."
Aaron was a man of his word. If he said no, he would not change his mind.
But she had to go with him this time.
She had no choice but to act shamelessly.
When Aaron didn't notice her, she scooped up a mouthful of pumpkin soup and forced it into his mouth.
"Now that you have drunk the soup I made, you must take me there."
Aaron was fed by something sticky.
He hated to eat desserts, so his first reaction was to lower his head and want to spit it out. But when he looked down, he suddenly found the beautiful heart just now in the soup was missing.
It should be in his mouth.
The desire to spit it out was inexplicably retracted.
Feeling wronged, Yolanda continued, "I just want to go out to play. It's boring to stay at home all the time. I don't know anyone. Let me go out with you. Maybe it's good for me to regain my memory."
Expressionless, Aaron listened. After a while, he swallowed uncontrollably.
Damn it! How could he swallow it?
Yolanda's smile showed in his mind again, "Your sister's love."
Your sister's love...
Sister's love...
Love...
"Please!" The coquettish voice came into his ears, waking up Aaron, whose mind was full of the words "sister's love".
The man swallowed two more times, trying to hide his distraction.
"Okay." He said.
Before she could be happy, the man added, "I will promise you if you can pass the game."
As Aaron spoke, he turned on the projection and projected the game on the iPad to the wall. Two pictures of Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival were shown clearly.
"There are three hundred different places in total. If you can pass the test today, I'll take you there."
Staring at the two paintings for ten seconds, Yolanda felt she was going blind.
"It's impossible. You embarrass me on purpose."
"It only took me two hours."
Why was this man so abnormal in playing games?
However, Yolanda was stubborn. The more Aaron looked down upon her, the more she had to do it.
Sitting cross-legged on the carpet, Yolanda stared at the projection and said, "Don't call me for dinner today."
Aaron nodded, "As you like."
Then he walked out of the study.
Aaron had an appointment with his friend in the afternoon. When he left at noon, Yolanda didn't come downstairs for lunch. When he came back after dinner, there was only Ms. Twelve in the living room.
"Where is she?"
Ms. Twelve pointed upstairs and said, "She has been in the room all the time."
She was a little persistent.
Without saying a word, Aaron went straight to the study on the second floor and opened the door.
Yolanda fell asleep on the carpet.
He looked at the record on the wall and she found 28 places in the afternoon.
Aaron snorted and kicked Yolanda two times.
"Get up."
Yolanda didn't move. She slept soundly.
Seeing that she couldn't wake up, Aaron ignored her and went straight back to his computer to deal with the e-mail.
In the quiet study, besides the occasional click of the keyboard, Yolanda's regular snore was heard.
The voice was not loud, like a newborn kitten.
However, Aaron couldn't calm down.
Half an hour later, he closed the file and raised his head to look at Yolanda, who was lying on the carpet.
After a while, he took out his phone and found the recording function.
Then he began to record for one minute.
After the recording, Aaron played it back in his ear. Somehow, he showed a smile.
When he realized that his reaction was unreasonable, he put on a serious look. After a moment, he stood up and walked up to Yolanda.
"Yolanda." He shouted again.
But there was still no response.
The light from the chandelier in the middle of the study was soft. Yolanda lay on her side on the carpet, her long hair spreading on the ground like black silk. She breathed evenly and slept soundly, but her eyelashes sometimes trembled.
She was still holding the telepathy pen in her hand.
Aaron remembered what Erin had said.
"She is very uneasy deep in her heart."
"You might as well pay more attention to her in life and be careful of her feelings. It will be good for her."
Yolanda wanted to go to Darlington with him.
Aaron rubbed his eyebrows helplessly.
It was winter now. The night was cold. Even if there was carpet and heating, she couldn't lie on the ground all the time.
After hesitating for a long time, Aaron finally convinced himself to take her back to her room.
He squatted down and bent down slightly. When his fingertips touched the woman's soft waist, he hesitated for two seconds.
After all, Aaron was very clear that he and Yolanda were never brother and sister.
And this kind of contact had already crossed the boundary between ordinary men and women.
Two seconds later, Aaron's hand quickly passed through her waist.
He lifted her upper body with one hand and held her leg with the other. As soon as he lifted her ten centimeters away from the ground, Yolanda woke up.
She opened her eyes.
