Chapter 28 Extra Story Timothy in His Prime

Chapter 28 Extra Story Ⅱ Timothy in His Prime
To Queenie, her marriage to Timothy was quite sudden. In their senior year, they started their internships. Queenie lived in a rented house while Timothy hadn't graduated from the six-year bachelor-master program.
The fact that Queenie was living out there alone worried Timothy, and he insisted on moving in.
Queenie objected to it sternly. There was a saying that if someone wanted to marry another person, cohabitation before marriage was not an option because it would ruin the mystique. For girls, in particular, it was the killer of relationships!
Queenie liked Timothy very much. She couldn't imagine a breakup after a two-year cohabitation.
So, she only allowed him to visit her house and refused to let him stay. She would drive him back to his dormitory at night no matter how late it was.
One night, it was raining heavily. Queenie urged Timothy, who had just had dinner, to go back to school. Lying on the sofa, Timothy refused to leave. "Just let me stay for the night!"
"No, my dad forbids me to keep any man here." Queenie was a woman with principles. "Quira." Timothy gave her sad puppy eyes.
"Appealing to be pitiful will not work. Just go while you can still catch the last bus." Queenie swung her hand and shooed him. Following a sigh, Timothy got up, went over, and asked, "Can I move in upon graduation?"
"Don't even think about it. Cohabitation is not an option unless we're married." While playing video games, Queenie replied. She didn't even look back.
"Fair enough." Timothy nodded.
Queenie's attention was on the video game. She didn't hear what Timothy was saying. With a click, the door closed, and he left.
He didn't show up again until two days later. With some files in his hand, he said, "I went to the City Hall and registered us for a marriage license!"
"Why did you do that?" Queenie asked wonderingly. "Didn't you say you wanted to get married?" Timothy asked back. "When did I ever say that?" Queenie was astonished. "Come on, you requested a marriage the night before. Can you deny it?" "When did I ever do that?" Queenie was aggrieved.
"You said you wouldn't be with me unless we got married," Timothy said sadly. "Alas, I don't want to get married at such a young age, but if you insist, I have to agree!"
"I didn't say that, did I?" Queenie started to doubt her memories. She simply refused him moving in with her before marriage. Did Timothy misunderstand it?
Just as she was about to explain, Timothy said, "I've registered already. It was a long trip. Do you have the heart to turn me down?"

"I can get the marriage license with you, but shouldn't we notify our parents?"
"It's alright. Let's get the license first." Timothy gave a smug smile and took her to the Marriage Registration Office. By the time they came out, Queenie was still in a daze. She looked at the marriage certificates and their photos before asking incredulously, "We got married?"
Timothy looked at the marriage certificates happily and replied, "Yeah, ah, it's November 26th today!"
"It's your 22nd birthday." Queenie put in.
"Yeah, it's sort of a nice gift!" Timothy smiled proudly.
Queenie turned to look at him and felt that she had been fooled. She just couldn't tell when.
In the afternoon, Timothy blatantly asked a moving company to get his stuff into the house. She asked dully, "Did you fool me into marrying you, Timothy?"
The smile on Timothy's face changed as soon as he heard that. "What's wrong, Quira? Are you regretting marrying me now?"
"No, I just haven't thought of getting married so early," Queenie replied.
"But you wouldn't let me move in. I was afraid that you would dump me when you met a better guy," Timothy said diffidently, hanging his head.
"No way! You're such a good man. I'd be blind if I didn't want you." Queenie hurriedly took a stand. "Then what's the difference between getting the license sooner or later?" Timothy said. "You have a point!" Queenie nodded.
That was right. Getting the license early meant that she could hold Timothy to sleep sooner! Queenie looked at the bedsheet that had been laid out and then at his pretty face and well-built body. She felt excited inside.
At night, after consummating their marriage, Queenie giddily thought to herself. It was not bad to get married early. Yep! She had nothing to lose!
Timothy held the sleeping woman and smiled like a boy who had stolen a treasure. Quira finally moved out of school, and he would not part with her, not even for one night. She had entered society whereas he was still at school. There were a lot of temptations out there. What if she met someone else and fell in love with him?
Timothy couldn't rest his mind at ease. He would keep her by his side by hook or by crook. Luckily, she was willing to be with him forever. Timothy felt that he was the happiest man in the world.
Queenie didn't know how much Timothy loved her.
She had always thought that she loved him more because she was the one who courted him first and didn't get him to agree to be with her until almost two years later since. It was not until many years later that she figured out how wrong she was.
It turned out that he loved her much more than she had ever imagined...
