The reason behind Luana’s sudden change of character was still a mystery to Lyne. This was the same Luana that was always at loggerheads with her. She could not forget how she also picks on her at every little chance she gets. Before she left, she had said that Luana should be locked up due to the atrocities she committed. The warm embrace was just a very big surprise to her. Perhaps she now has a change of heart. She was not going to let that distract her anyway. She was not going to get to heart that easily for all what she had done in the past. 

After pulling off the embrace and saying their ‘hellos’ and ‘welcomes’, Luana stood up and began talking about what had happened while she was away. Luana walked majestically towards the couch and sat on it as she began.

“I have to be honest with you Lyne, no one knew you had survived somehow.” She said immediately after sitting. 

“Well, you can see I am here now. You still don’t believe?” She asked scornfully.

“Shelbrooke had us believe you died a very tragic and terrible death after seeing that you were thrown off a cliff. Zeidan tried his best to find you after it all believeing you might have survived somehow, or that even if you were dead, you deserved a proper burial. But no one saw you. He searched endlessly for your body with no avail long before he fell sick. Even after falling sick, he didn’t stop sending guards to continue the search for your body. I had to advice him to stop later on because it was very detrimental to his health.” Luana said as she crossed her legs and relaxed more on the couch. As she watched Lyne become more uneasy with all what she was saying. 

“Your father did not make any of it easier for Zeidan and Vampire City as a whole. Your father threatened Zeidan to find you alive at all cost. I am sure he even contributed to his illness.” Lyne was now starting to get angry, she knew that Luana was not happy to see her after all but was only pretending. She tried to hide her anger anyway.

“My father was not the reason Zeidan is sick, Luana.” She said sternly. To this Luana scoffed and continued.

“After Zeidan could not help find his daughter, he came finally and took the wolf army away with him which weakened the city’s defense even more. The Werecats attacks were always very brutal and with the wolf army gone, there was no way this city was able to defend against them like they used to when the wolf army was present. And all these were what Zeidan had to worry about and that my dear is all on your father and partly on you too. You just leave people’s lives and return whenever you deem it fit.” She said with so much disdain. Lyne looked at Zeidan who had not spoken a word since Luana stepped into the room.

Just as Luana mentioned the wolf army, the thought of Hudson came into her mind. Hudson was the Chief of Staff for her father and he was killed by Luana. Luana was a culprit, yet she had been living in the palace ever since then, she never for once imagined she will still be here in the palace. She then stood up and walked towards Luana.

“You know what Luana, I don’t give a damn about all what you are saying. Why the hell are you still here?” 

“Well I am still here, deal with it.” Luana said, looking up at Lyne.

“Luana, you killed Hudson, why are you not locked up? Why haven’t Zeidan locked you up?” Now turning to face Zeidan, she directed the question to him.

“Zeidan, please tell me why you do not have her behind bars by now. She has done so much harm than good. Can you please explain what the hell she is still doing here?” Zeidan gaped, he wanted to speak but words weren’t coming out of his mouth.

“Well, I don’t think so Lyne. Zeidan does not think so too. I guess that is why he made me the queen after you left and we now have a handsome boy together.” Luana said now ending her statement with a smile. 

Lyne could not believe what she just heard. She turned to look at Zeidan who was now seated. 

“You have a son with Luana?” She asked still furious and dejected. 

“I can explain Lyne? It is not what you think.” Zeidan said weakly with a tone of sadness in his voice.

“You want to explain? How you got married to her, and then had a kid with her, a boy?” Lyne said, pointing to Luana. Luana stood up and walked out of the room briskly. Lyne now realizing she made a very terrible mistake coming back here decided she was going to leave forever this time. She can’t stay in a place like this, not with Luana as the queen. What saddened her mostly was that Zeidan had a son with Luana, she was heartbroken. 

“Please Lyne, let me explain.” Zeidan said weakly but Lyne was not even ready to hear any of whatever he had to say. She was leaving and that was final. She grabbed her daughter from where she sat beside Zeidan.

“Daddy.” Aurora said pulling her mom’s jacket and looking back at Zedan with a sad face. Lyne paused to look at her daughter and was surprised by what she just said. She had never met Zeidan to know he was her father. She will not let that change her mind though. She removed her hand from Zeidan’s and she headed to the room where her and her daughter’s belongings were kept. 

She met Amber in the room unpacking her clothes. She asked her to pack them back into the bags and told her she was not staying anymore. Just then Chloe came in and gestured for Amber to leave the room.

“What is going on here, Lyne? What is happening? You just got here, are you leaving again?” Chloe asked looking confused. 

“I can’t stay here Chloe. Zeidan has decided to move on with someone else.” Lyne replied. Chloe then took the bags from her and said,

“I don’t think you should leave, Lyne.” As Chloe said this, it made Lyne more furious. How could she ask her to stay after all what she had just heard?

“He married Luana and had a son with him. How am I supposed to cope with Luana? You don’t know how that feels and yet you are telling me to stay here.”

“Well I don’t but I think you should at least hear me out.” Chloe pleaded as she held Lyne’s hand and led her to the foot of the bed where they both sat before Chloe continued talking. 

“Look, I want you to think about this very well. You were away for two years, and it was during a time when Zeidan needed you by his side. You were not there for him Lyne.” Chloe continued.
