The moon goddess used her powers to wake gwen up. 

"mother". she whispered, getting up from the floor. 

"my dear child". the moon goddess said in tears as she opened her arms wide. 

gwen rushed towards her, hugging her tightly as she cried seriously. 

"mother, I've missed you so much". she sobbed. 

"shhh.... I'm so sorry I couldn't help you child''. she replied in tears. 

They stayed in that position for a while, mother and child crying seriously till they both managed to control their tears. 

"mother, what happened". gwen said, pulling out of the hug as she used her hands to wipe the moon goddess tears. 

"do not worry about this tears child, they're tears of joy". she laughed. 

"I'm glad you're back dear".

"I know mother, I've been gone for far too long, but how did this happen".

"the witch did this". the moon goddess said in anger. 

"the witch?" Gwen asked. 

"yes child, come, let's sit, I'll explain it all to you". she said, waving her hands as she created two royal chairs. 

Gwen took her hand the moment they sat down. 

"please mother, I'm eager to know the truth".

"keep calm dear, I'll tell you everything".

"if you can remember vividly, I sent you down to earth to be the daughter of the alpha king".

"yes mother, I remember, the alpha's mate couldn't mother a child and you had sent me down there to be their child, I was your gift to them". Gwen said and the moon goddess smiled, yes, she had sacrificed her child for the happiness of her people. 

"very good child,but when you were re-born, I gave a prophecy".

"a prophecy?".

''yes dear, you're not an ordinary wolf, you're gifted, you were going to be the greatest wolf amongst all, a wolf I had blessed with certain abilities". she smiled. 

"what abilities mother".

"shh.... that's left for you to find out, it's my gift to you, which I'm very sure will come in handy soon".

"hmm, knowing you mother, I'm sure you're not gonna tell me". she whined and the moon goddess laughed. 

"this prophecy spread far and not everyone was happy about this, especially the witches". she frowned. 

"witches?".

"yes child, a coven of witches heard about this and they had plan to steal your powers, knowing fully well that if they can do that, they would become stronger and dominate the whole world".

"and so, the witches attacked the alpha king kingdom, it was a great battle, they had destroyed everything, the alpha king and his mate had fought bravely to protect their child, they had managed to kill all the witches, except one".

"her name is Valerie, a very powerful sorceress, during the war, the alpha king had entrusted you to his most trusted warrior, he had fought bravely to protect you, but sadly, he was attacked and killed by Valerie, she took you from him and brought you to the human town".

"hold on mother, this is just too much, what about the king and his mate". she whispered, and by this time, she was already in tears.

"my child, your foster parents had given their lives up for you, they were attacked and killed by valerie". she replied sadly. 

"so, they died while trying to protect me". gwen said as she felt her blood boil with rage, she needed the blood of that witch. 

"please keep calm child, you need to calm down". the moon goddess said, patting her shoulders. 

"ok mother, but I'm only keeping calm because I need to know the whole truth, then I'll do what I please". she said, the moon goddess stared at her, she knew what would happen, but she's not going to say anything yet. 

"Valerie had taken you to the human town and entrusted you to a human named Martha, the one you grew up to know as your mother". she said and Gwen's eyes popped wide with shock.

the moon goddess smiled before she continued. 

"she had cast a spell on that poor woman, she made her, her puppet, but she wasn't the only one to be enchanted, she had also managed to cast a spell on you, thereby wiping off your memories and suppressing your powers, that's why you grew up thinking you were a human, it was all Valerie's doings".

"Valerie had done this because she needed to find a way to steal your powers and so, she couldn't kill you, not until that is done, but when Valerie saw she couldn't posses your powers, she had ordered Martha to kill you, and that's when you got saved by lance". she smiled, causing gwen to blush. 

"look who's blushing". she teased. 

"oh stop it mother". gwen replied and the moon goddess gave a loud laugh. 

"but mother, while I'm here, what about.....".

"oh don't worry my child, I've put him in a deep sleep". she laughed. 

"mother!". gwen half yelled with a smile on her face. 

"oh what, I had to do that so I can get enough time with you".

"funny, alright mother, please continue".

''yes, well, I had paired lance as your mate, he'll protect you, and that's why, I had made him be there the day Martha wanted to kill you, but sadly, he had killed her, that woman had no idea what she was doing, she was under Valerie's spell".

"and all these while, I had thought she hated me". gwen muttered sadly. 

"no child, if she hadn't been under Valerie's spell, she would have loved and treated you like her own, she was a good woman". the moon goddess said, wiping the tears that slipped down gwen's cheek. 

"but I don't understand mother, why that day, she could have killed me all these while, but that particular day".

"well, I guess she felt she could still find other means to get your powers for herself, but another thing was that she had felt it".

"felt what? ".

"the first day you met Lancelot, Valerie had felt it, she knew that, if you two were to come together, her plans would be ruined, and since she couldn't posses your powers for herself, she had decided to kill you, I had made lance visit you that day, so he could protect you".

"hmm, you're are right mother, I've been gone for far too long, I'll make this witch pay for all she's done".

"hmm". the moon goddess sighed worriedly. 

"what's wrong mother''. gwen said, having on a worried look. 

"it's Valerie".

"what about her mother, what has she done this time".

"well child, she's already making plans to attack the red moon pack, there's going to be a war, a fierce War is coming, and that's why I had instigated your mating with lance".

"what!''. gwen half yelled in disbelief. 

"yes dear". the moon goddess chuckled. 

"I know that if lance marked you, it'll make it easier for you to remember who you are, it'll help trigger your wolf".

"but mother, you had helped me".

"yes child, but the marking made it much easier, or I would have had quite a difficult time in getting back your memories, the mark broke the spell, I just completed it".

"and now, you need to be at alert, you know who you are, it's your duty to protect your pack, the witch won't back down easily".

"and so will I mother, I promise she would pay for this". gwen said, her eyes sparkled with determination and anger, she'll definitely exact her revenge on that witch. 

"there's no much time child,lance is getting up soon, you'll need to get back". the moon goddess said, giving her a sad smile. 

"oh mother, I'm going to miss you". Gwen replied, hugging her tightly. 

"I'll always be with you child, you're going back, you'll find out other secrets that's been kept hidden for too long". She said as gwen pulled out of the hug. 

"i don't understand mother, what's the secret".

"well my dear child, that's left for you to find out". The moon goddess said, getting up from the chair. 

''c'mon mother, I know you know what's left to be told, why won't you tell me". gwen frowned as she also stood up. 

"well child, it's a story that's not for me to tell, and that's all I can say". She said,and gwen knew she won't say anything, she's just so stubborn.

"before you leave, there's someone you should meet". She smiled.

"who's that mother".

"why don't you look behind you". she said with a smile on her face, and gwen turned sharply to behold the sight of someone she's missed so much. 

"KIARA".
