“You?”. Linda gasps in shock as she sees the familiar face of the old lady. She has seen her somewhere, but she just can't remember where.

“Do you know me?”. The lady said in a very hoarse voice, more like a whisper.

If she hadn't been a werewolf, she wouldn't have been able to hear what she said.

“I. I don't”. She stuttered, still thinking about where she had seen this face before. 

“Please, who are you?Why are you here?How long have you been here?”. She said.

“Please, help me”. And that was the only thing the old lady managed to say before she passed out. 

“Fuck, Megan, what do we do?”. Linda panicked. 

“Linda, we can't leave her here, let's help her”.  Megan said. 

“But Damien, what if he finds out?”.

“Forget about that Linda, look at her, she doesn't look like she'll be able to last long without proper care, she'll die if we leave her here”.

“You wanted to find out the truth, and now you've got what you wanted, let's get her away from here, we'll be able to find out more about her, who she is, why she is being kept here, I'm sure there's so much more to the story”. Megan growled. 

“Ok, you're right, I'm sorry, but where do we keep her?We can't take her home, Damien would definitely find out”.

“Hmm, I'm sorry Linda, I know you would rather not involve Clara in this, but she's the only option we've got right now, at least until we find out more”.

“I don't know Megan”.

“Fuck that, Linda, we've got no time to think or waste”. Megan growled in anger. 

“Ok fine, let's do that, I'll mind link Clara to get ready”. She replied, moving towards the cell, she grabbed the lock, pulling it with her strength, it came open. 

“Good, hurry Linda”. Megan yelled. 

Linda picked up the old lady who weighed nothing, then she ran out of there with all the speed she could muster. 

“Sorry, Clara, but you're my only hope”. She whispered as she continued running, heading for Clara's home.

Clara's POV

I paced around my room nervously, I was truly scared for Luna, it is unclear to me why she would want to risk her life like that, just to find out the truth about something. 

I had known something wasn't right when she had asked me to get her some wolf's bane.

I was at the pack kitchen with some other female wolves, making food for the guards, when the Luna mind linked me. 

“Clara, meet me in my room now”. She said urgently.

“Ok Luna”.

Linda's room

“Hey Clara, please come in”. Linda said, ushering Clara into her bedroom. 

“Luna”. Clara bowed.

“Please, Clara, you may rise”.

“Luna, what's wrong?”.

“Clara, I really need your help”.

“Anything for you, Luna, you can trust me”.

“Of course, Clara, I know that very well”. She smiled. 

“Luna, what would you have me do?".

“Clara, I'm truly sorry to bother you about this, but you're the only one I trust”. She said, taking both of Clara's hands in hers. 

“Sorry if I disrespect you Luna, but don't talk like that, you're never a bother to me, I would gladly do anything you ask of me, no matter what it is, you've helped me so much, I would lay down my life for you if I have to”. Clara said, looking at her with admiration, truly, she loves the Luna so much and sees her like a sister. She's just so kind and generous, not only to her, but to everyone, she's got a pure heart of gold. 

“Thank you so much, Clara”. Linda said, embracing her.

''No, thank you, Luna”. She replied, returning the hug. 

“Now, here's what I want, Clara”. She said, pulling out of the hug. 

“I'll need you to please help me get some wolf's bane”.

“Wolf's bane?”. 

“Yes, Clara, wolf's bane”.

“Sorry Luna, please pardon my inquisitiveness, but what do you need a wolf's bane for?”.

“Well….”.

“I promise you can talk to me, Luna”.

“I…., well Clara, you know the part of the pack that's prohibited?”.

“Yes, Luna, what about it?”.

“I need it to take down the guards there, I need to know what's been hidden there”.

“What!”. Clara half yelled.

“Shhh… Low your voice, Clara”.

“Sorry Luna, but that's too dangerous, what if the alpha comes to know about this, I'm sure he won't take it lightly”.

“I know Clara, but let's forget about Damien, I won't have peace until I find out what he's hiding”.

“Luna, please don't do this”. Clara pleaded. 

“No Clara, please don't try to stop me, my mind is made up, and I won't stop”. She replied, turning her back at Clara.

Clara stared at her for a while, now that's one thing about Luna, once she's hell-bent on doing something, she's not stopping until she gets what she wants.

She heaved a sigh, then moved close to Linda. 

“Ok Luna, I'll do it, I'll get you the wolf's bane”.

“Thank you so much, Clara”. She turned to face her, feeling happy. 

“And I apologize for bothering you”.

“I'm glad to help, Luna”.

“Luna, please be careful, don't get hurt”.

“I won't Clara”. She laughed. 

“But Luna, I would truly love to come with you, please let me join you”. Clara pleaded. 

“No, Clara, I would rather not put you in any form of danger”.

“No Luna, you're not doing that, it's my decision to join you”.

“No Clara, I'm sorry, but I can't let you come with”.

“But I want to Luna”.

“No, Clara, and that's final”. She commanded. 

Now, seeing this, Clara knows it's a lost fight as she bowed her head in submission before leaving.

“Sorry, Clara, but I can't put you in danger”. She muttered sadly.

“I thank the moon goddess, she's alright, but I wonder who the visitor is”. Clara muttered to herself. 

*Knock*came the urgent knock on the door, pulling her out of her thoughts.

“That must be the Luna”. She said, hurrying to get the door. 

On opening the door, she frowned a bit, seeing Linda carrying an unconscious old lady. 

“Will you please let me in, Clara”. Linda said impatiently. 

“I'm so sorry, Luna”. She replied, opening the door a bit wider to let her in. 

“Thank you”. She said.

“I already had the spare room prepared”. She said, as she took the old lady from Linda, then she carried her to the spare room.

“Please be gentle”. Linda said as she watched Clara lay down the old lady on the bed, the bed wasn't that big, but it was enough for her, and this wouldn't be much stress as Clara lived alone, she had lost both her parents in a war and ever since then, she had learned to live alone and fend for herself. 

“Thank you so much for this, Clara”.

“It's alright Luna”.

“I would have to leave now, I'm certain that Damien hasn't noticed I left the lodge”.

“That's alright Luna, I'll take good care of her and make sure she's okay, you need not worry about that”.

“I trust you will, Clara”.

“And do take care too, thanks once again”. She said, she hugged her briefly before hurrying back home.
