"Mother". he muttered and the lady nodded her head positively. 

"Lancelot, my son". She cried out. 

He immediately ran to hug her tightly, mother and son held each other tightly, both sobbing on each other's shoulders. 

Everyone watched with tears in their eyes, even Gwen, this was a happy reunion. 

"Mother, mother, you're alive". He sobbed. 

"My son, your mother is alive". She replied, hugging him tighter, both not wanting to let go.

Everyone sat in Lance's living room, Lancelot sat with his mother, and gwen beside him. 

Lance kept on holding onto his mother's hand tightly, he felt she was going to disappear again if he let go. 

Margret looked at everyone with a bright smile on her face, to her, they were all her children, her gaze landed on the beautiful woman beside Lancelot, and she winked at him before gesturing to the lady to come sit beside her.

"you must be my son's mate". She smiled, using her free hand to hold onto Gwen's hand. 

Gwen smiled with a positive nod. 

"What's your name dear?".

"Gwen". She replied with a smile. 

"Beautiful, I hope he doesn't trouble you a lot". She asked as she turned to glare at Lance. 

"No ma'am....".

"No, mother, call me mother please, you're all my children". She smiled. 

"Mother". Gwen called, she felt like she's about to explode with happiness. 

"Good". Margret said, pulling her to her side to embrace her. 

"Mother". Lance called, still holding her hand. 

He still kept on looking at her, he felt like this was one big dream, but if it's a dream, it's definitely one he's not wanting to ever wake up from. 

"Lancelot". She smiled, and he hugged her once more. 

"I still can't believe this mother, this all feels like one big dream to me". He said.

"I know my love, but this is real, I'm right here in front of you, and I'm never going away again".

"She's right lance, this isn't a dream, but I'll be glad to slap you to prove that". Asher said and they all laughed. 

"oh my, Asher you still haven't changed a tiny bit, ever so playful and naughty". Margret said amidst laughter. 

"That's right mother, he's only gotten worse". Grace said and Asher glared at her. 

"You shouldn't give her any bad info about me ok, because they're not true, and y'all love giving everyone bad impressions about me". he said with a pout. 

''Shut up asher, it's all true, you're a pack of silliness". Lily added. 

"mother, tell them to stop or else I'm going to fight back". He whined. 

"y'all stop teasing him please". Margret laughed. 

"Now come, I want to embrace all my kids". She smiled. 

They all stood up happily as they went to embrace her one after the other. It was Asher's turn and he turned it into a drama show. 

"I've really missed you so much". He said, hugging her with tears in her eyes. 

"haha, I've missed you too tiger, Infact, I've missed you more". She laughed. 

had lily not pulled him away, he wouldn't have let go. 

"I know everyone must be wondering how I'm here, Alive and well, most especially Lancelot". She said with a sad smile. 

"but first, my being alive is all thanks to these two wonderful ladies". She said, smiling at Linda and Clara. 

"meet Linda and Clara, they've helped me so much, and it's all thanks to them that I'm alive today, I would have been dead by now had Linda not saved me". She said with a smile. 

"Linda, Clara". Lance called and they moved their attention to him. 

"thank you both for saving my mother, words can't express how thankful I am, I owe you both a lot for this great act, anything you both need, please do not fail to ask me, I would gladly provide everything". He said and everyone smiled. 

"alpha lancelot". Linda called. 

"you don't need to thank us, she's also our mother now". She giggled. 

"and as for what we need, we only ask for one thing, and that's to be a member of your pack". She sighed. 

"of course, you're both welcome to the pack with open arms". he said with a smile and everyone cheered for the new members. 

"Welcome to the pack". They all said. 

"the normal rites would be carried out soon". He added, and they nod their heads knowingly. 

even if he has accepted them, they'll still have to take an oath, then they'll fully become members of his pack. 

"so mother". Lance said. 

"Please, tell us, what happened after that day, I can remember seeing only your father's corpse, but all that was left of you was your pendant, I don't know, I searched for so long, and I finally gave up, with the thought that you both were gone forever". He said, wiping the tear that slipped down his cheek. 

"oh Lancelot, I'm sure you're not going to like what I'm about to tell you, but please control yourself son". She said in tears. 

"I don't understand mother, what's it". He said, moving closer to her. 

"I will tell you what happened after that day". She sobbed. 

She stayed quiet for a while, then she finally gathered the strength to tell everyone what happened. 

starting from how Damien took her in as a prisoner, how he tortured her for many years, how she thought she's lost Lancelot, how Linda has saved her and in the process, loosing her wolf and mate, how Clara had found out about him being alive, and finally, how she's there right now. 

by the time she was done , Lance eyes were already switching to his normal red and a brighter shade of red, cornor wanted to forcefully take over, he was filled with rage at what damien did. 

"lance". His mother called. 

she got no response, Lance had his eyes shut tightly, he balled his fist as he tried to restrain cornor. 

"lance". She called again, fearfully this time, but still, she got no response. 

Everyone shared a worried look before getting up, even Gwen stood up, and walked carefully to him. 

"lance". Gwen called. 

his breathing came heavily, and finally, cornor had the upper hand. 

he stood up in rage, fangs and claws out. 

"Damien, I want his head". He growled. 

Before dashing out of the house, he was heading to the shadow moon pack. 

"please, stop him before he does something drastic". Margret cried out. 

"Clara, Linda, stay with mother, we'll go stop lance". Gwen said. 

"of course Gwen, we'll stay here with mother". Linda said. 

The rest of them dashed out of the house, going after lance. 

"no matter what happens, we can't let him get to the shadow moon pack". Gwen yelled while running. 

they all ran with all the speed they could muster, they met lance, or should I say cornor at the pack borders, he was about crossing over to the other side when gwen called out to him. 

"Lancelot". She yelled. 

"stay back mate". He replied with his back turned to them. 

"cornor?". She muttered. 

"no one should try to stop me, today, I won't let damien live". He growled. 

"cornor please, don't do this, at least not today". She pleaded. 

"Sorry mate, but I have to do this". He said. 

As he made to leave, Leo and Asher rushed to him, holding each of his hands. 

"no alpha, we can't let you go there like this". Leo growled. 

"let go of my hand". Cornor replied with a dangerous growl. 

"sorry alpha, but we can't, if you do this, it'll ruin our plan". Asher said, struggling to restrain him. 

"Sorry friends, but I'll end it all today". He growled before forcefully pushing them away. 

they both landed on the floor, groaning in pain. 

"we can't let him leave". Asher groaned. 

"sorry alpha, but we can't let you do this". Leo said as they both stood up, giving the control to their wolves. 

cornor turned to face them, bearing his fangs at them. 

"you dare to challenge me". He boomed. 

"cornor please stop this". Gwen cried out, but he was blinded by rage to even listen, all he wants was to kill damien. 

"sorry alpha, but we can't let you do this". Lily said as she and Grace stood beside their mates, they also gave the control to their wolves. 

"don't stop me, I don't want to hurt you guys". Cornor growled out. 

"then don't leave alpha". Grace said. 

"sorry, but I have to". He said. 

cornor had other ways in mind to make them obey him, at least he won't hurt them, and the only way is to use his command on them, every alpha has the power to command their pack, they can make them obey their wishes against their own will, he has never used it on them, but today he will, that's the only way he would avoid hurting them. 

"As your alpha, I order you all to stay back". He commanded. 

they felt the power in his words, and just as if a spell was being cast on them, they had to submit against their will, they all bowed their heads in obedience. 

"yes alpha". They replied. 

Gwen had her eyes open in surprise. 

"what just happened". She whispered. 

*damn this mate of ours, he used his command on them, I'm taking over* Kiara said, taking the control. 

"mate". Kiara called. 

cornor turned his attention to her. 

"I'm your mate, and you can't order me to stop you, I won't let you go to your brother like this, you can't do this, you'll expose the pack to danger, this is a war that came unprepared, you'll need to battle alongside your pack, you can't fight alone". She said. 

"I can do this alone mate, didn't you hear what he did to mother, I won't let him live after what he's done". He growled. 

"you won't, but please mate, not today". She pleaded. 

"Sorry mate, but I'm going, and don't try to stop me". He growled, turning his back at her. 

"there's only one way to stop you from leaving mate, I'm sorry". She thought. 

Kiara had no other choice than to use her magic on him, she used her power to put him in a deep sleep, cornor collapsed to the floor, snoring heavily.

The moment she did that, the resistance on the rest was broken and they all came to their senses. 

"phew". Asher said, staring at a sleeping Lancelot. 

"sorry guys, let's get him home". Gwen said. 

Margaret had a huge smile on her face the moment she saw them carry Lancelot in. 

"you guys managed to stop him". She said with a sad smile. 

"we tried but the Luna managed to do the work". Lily said. 

"it's late mother, y'all need to rest". Gwen said. 

"oh dear, do not worry, I'm sure there's a place we can rest apart from here, wouldn't want to be a bother to you and lance".

"no mother, don't say that, after all, there's so much room in here". Gwen said. 

"no dear, I insist".

"err, Gwen, it's alright, we've got a building here, no one uses it, mother can stay there with Linda and Clara". Lily said. 

"alright then, please take care".

"Gwen, Lance is still fast asleep, we laid him on the bed". Asher said. 

"he'll be up by tomorrow morning, thank you all for everything". She smiled. 

"nah, it's fine". Asher replied. 

They all said their goodbyes before leaving. 

Gwen was about to go to their bedroom when she felt a presence behind her, she quickly turned to see Valerie, dressed in a black long dress, she also had an evil smirk on her face. 

"hello gwen".

"Valerie". Gwen growled. 

"Where's Emily?". She said, bearing her fangs at Valerie. 

"oh calm down honey, don't be quick to get angry, you haven't even heard the reason I'm here". She smiled. 

"I don't need to know your damn reason, where's Emily and her mother". She said. 

"feisty". Valerie laughed. 

"Anyways, I know you must be dying to save your dear friend, and that's the reason I'm here". She smiled. 

"Too bad for you, you won't get the chance to leave here alive". She hissed. 

"mind your words dear, I still have your friend and one wrong move can kill her". She said. 

Gwen ran with a flash to grab Valerie's neck. 

"watch it witch, I wouldn't waste a single second in snapping your neck if you dare to hurt them". She growled dangerously. 

"let me go". Valerie managed to say. 

Gwen resisted the urge to kill her right there, and finally, she let go of her neck. 

"foolish girl, do you really think you can kill me, anyways, you can't even do that, I have your friend, and just one signal from me, she'll be gone, forever". She giggled. 

"if you want to save your friend, meet me in the woods of the shadow moon pack tonight, and yes, don't be late or else you'll be welcomed with their dead bodies". She said before vanishing. 

*gwen, I have a bad feeling about this, that witch is definitely up to no good* Kiara said. 

*i don't care Kiara, all that matters is saving Emily and her mother, they're in this because of me, and I'm going to bring them back *

*yes,but I'll just see lance first* she replied before hurrying to their bedroom. 

She went to sit beside Lance, taking one of his hands. 

"please forgive me". She whispered, placing a kiss on his forehead. 

"oh mother, please guide me". She prayed as she stood up. 

With one last look at lance, she teleported herself to the woods Valerie asked to meet. 

everywhere was so dark, and the cry of an owl could be heard, even the moon wasn't so bright tonight. The weather was cold, too cold for her liking, causing her to shiver, not knowing if it was from the cold night or fear. 

She sniffed the air to get a scent, and she got one, it was that of Emily and her mother. 

"Emily". She whispered as she quickly trailed the scent. 

She saw Emily and her mother, bound in chains and tied to a huge tree. 

"Emily". She yelled as she ran to meet them. 

"Gwen". Emily called out weakly. 

"Gwen". She called out again, in tears. 

"I'm so sorry Emmy, I'm here to take you both home". She replied in tears as she quickly broke the chain binding them. 

Emily's mother quickly hugged Gwen in tears. 

"Gwen, you're here". She said in tears. 

"I'm so sorry, you both are in this, all because of me". She replied, returning the hug. 

"Gwen, that witch wants to kill you, you shouldn't have come here". Emily said in tears. 

"I don't care about them, but all that matters to me right now is saving the both of you". She replied. 

"Go away from here Gwen, please".

"no Emmy, I will.... ". She was saying when Valerie interrupted them.

"wow, sweet reunion". She giggled. 

"Valerie". Gwen said, turning sharply to face her. 

"Miss me darling, I'm sure you didn't think I would let you have them so easily". 

"don't start what you can't finish Valerie, get out of my way". Gwen replied, pushing Emily and her mother behind her. 

"sorry darling, but I can finish this battle, and I'll be doing that right now, you just walked into my trap and there's no getting out of it alive, I'll end your existence today". She said. 

Valerie raised her right hand to the sky and a golden trident appeared right on her palm. 

"you see this". She smirked.

"this would end you quickly, so".

"any last word before you die". She laughed. 

"what do you think you're about to do?". Emily yelled. 

"isn't it obvious, or are you blind, I made you a promise that I'll let you watch her die, and that's what you're about to do".

"no, you can't do this, I won't let you hurt Gwen". Emily's mother yelled. 

"goodness, you're so foolish, anyways, this is so touching, but you've wasted my time enough, time to end all this". She hissed. 

Gwen used both hands to hold Emily and her mother back, using herself to shield them. 

"sorry darling, but your powers won't be able to help you even if you use it". She giggled. 

"fuck you bitch". Gwen growled. 

"Goodbye Gwen". Valerie smirked as she threw the trident, aiming for Gwen's chest.

"nooooo.....". Emily and her mother screamed. 

"GWEN".
