Chapter 199 Icing on the Cake
Reluctant as Jiuyue was, she could only nod in agreement.
Cuihua did not insist on giving Wahei away, but just suggested asking someone else to raise it for a while, for which Jiuyue was grateful.
They had talked for a moment, but Tianxiu still did not show up, which was not in line with her temperament. Jiuyue was surprised when she noticed that.
She asked, "Sister Zhaodi, where is Sister Tianxiu?"
Zhaodi had a glance at Tianxiu's room before saying to Jiuyue, "When we had breakfast this morning, she said she was not feeling well. She's now having a rest in her room."
Hearing that, Jiuyue and Cuihua looked at Tianxiu's room in unison. "Not feeling well? What's the matter with her?"
Zhaodi shook her head. "She just said she had no appetite and went back to her room after drinking some warm water."

Hearing what they said, Tianxiu lay down on the bed.

It occurred to Tianxiu that Jiuyue had studied medicine with Dr. Huang for some time, so she should be no worse than those informal doctors in the village.
"It's nothing serious. I've been sleepy without any appetite these two days, and I always feel agitated."
"When did it start?" Jiuyue asked again.
"Three days ago."
Tianxiu told Jiuyue all her symptoms and reached out her wrist when Jiuyue asked to feel her pulse.
Jiuyue felt her pulse carefully, and then, she revealed a puzzled look.
"Sister Tianxiu, have you had a period this month?"
All the people present were stunned. Tianxiu also seemed to have realized something and shook her head bashfully.
Seeing that, Cuihua understood what happened.
With eyes lighting up, she took Tianxiu's hand with both pleasure and complaint. "Look at you! It's not your first time getting pregnant. How could you be so careless?"
Tianxiu was busy with spring plowing these days and did not think of the possibility of pregnancy.

Cuihua said immediately, "I'll have Chuan kill a chicken later. There are two pregnant women in our family now. I'll get you well nourished."
Tianxiu's pregnancy brought joy to the whole family.
