Chapter 95 Hide Him

Chapter 95 Hide Him
"Mum, what should I do?! It's my fault. I shouldn't have taken him home." Su Jiuyue blamed herself badly.
Liu Cuihua patted her, "It's not your fault. You would not take him home if I had not agreed."
While Su Jiuyue was so anxious that she was gonna cry, Liu Cuihua continued, "What's done is done, and self-blame is useless. We must hide him first. But fortunately no one saw him when he came back last night. The problem is that we don't know the place to hide him."
Instead of telling her to get him out of here, Liu Cuihua only suggested hiding him.
Su Jiuyue also did not know how to hide him in freezing weather.
Liu Cuihua thought about it and said: "I'll tell your father about it. Don't panic. You cook first, and let's talk about it later."
Liu Cuihua hurriedly came out of the kitchen and returned to her room with the door closed.
"Hubbie! Hubbie!"
Wu Chuan was putting on clothes and couldn't help but mumble, "What's wrong? Why are you yelling?"
Liu Cuihua did not quarrel with him this time. She rushed up to him and hurriedly asked, "We must do something to hide the child!"
Wu Chuan became dazed and surprised, "Why should we hide him? You just took him home yesterday. Why do you want to hide him?"
Liu Cuihua never told him that their daughter-in-law was different from ordinary people, but she had to tell him this time, or else she couldn't think of any other excuses to convince her husband.
"Jiuyue had a dream that the child had an extraordinary origin and all the villagers were innocently implicated."
Wu Chuan uttered a snorting laugh, "Don't be so melodramatic! It's only a dream, and children are fond of daydreaming all day long."
Seeing that he did not take what she said seriously, Liu Cuihua felt anxious and grabbed the jacket from his hand to stop him putting on, "No way! All the dreams that Jiuyue had earlier came true. We'd better believe it. You don't care about the lives of our family, but you can't ignore the safety of the whole village."
She was stubbornly looking at him as if she forced him to state clearly his stand. Wu Chuan thought about it for a moment and finally compromised, "Anything you say."
Liu Cuihua helped him put the jacket on and asked, "What should we do now? Where do we hide him?"
While she was helping him button up, Wu Chuan squinted his eyes and thought for a long time. Finally, his eyes lit up and came up with an idea.
"The kiln that previously burned charcoal in the back of the mountain......"
Liu Cuihua also remembered that they burned charcoal in the kiln to exchange for money. Later more and more people burned charcoal. The charcoal that was burned by them was not competitive and could not be sold at good price, so they stopped burning charcoal.
Liu Cuihua clapped her hands and agreed, "The kiln is suitable for hiding him. How come I didn't think of it?!"
She flicked Wu Chuan's shiny head with her fingers, "How come I didn't see that my husband was smart sometimes."
Enduring the pain, Wu Chuan covered his head and glared at her, "You hit me so hard! Come on! You cannot go out if others get up!"
Liu Cuihua stamped her feet, "Right, I have to go! I don't want to be blocked by them at the door."
She put on an act of hanging out for a while, and then hurried back home.
When he finished practicing, Wu Zongyuan stood in the yard and watched Su Jiuyue chopping firewood. She called him, "Zongyuan!"

Wu Zongyuan looked back at her and saw that she was waving to him, "Come here, I have something to tell you."
Nodding his chin, Wu Zongyuan came up to her and made a bow with hands folded in front, "Aunt."
When getting along with him in these two days, Liu Cuihua knew the difference between the children in the mountains and those in the rich and powerful families.
Children in the mountains would stay in bed for a quarter of an hour after others waked them up every day. However, Wu Zongyuan, who had the same age with those children, would get up early in the morning to practice martial arts without being waked up by others.
Though he was very young, he could read. He could also get along with others in proper manners, and there was a big gap between other children and him.
How could she be fooled at that time? How could such a child be the child of an ordinary family?
But he was very pathetic for he lost parents at a young age and wandered homeless through the streets. What was worse, someone wanted to kill him.
She became soft-hearted at the thought of it.
She squatted down to look at Wu Zongyuan and said in a soft voice, "I went out a moment ago and I heard that someone was asking around who had picked up a child."
Hearing what she said, Wu Zongyuan wrinkled up his face into a grimace.
He knew that his elder brother was always looking for him. How could his elder brother let him live in peace?
His first act was to hide, but he was not at all familiar with the new environment. So he did not know where to hide.
He looked at the big mountain in the distance and was prepared to hide himself in the mountain.
Noticing the strange look on his face, Liu Cuihua kept looking at him and then said, "I think this might be bad for you. Follow me and I'll hide you. And I'll take you home when they stop finding you."
Wu Zongyuan felt assured and decided to follow her advice.
She must be much more familiar with the village for she had been living in the village for years.
Therefore, he nodded, "Aunt, anything you say."
Liu Cuihua touched his head, "Good boy! Let's go now while few people are outside."
Wu Zongyuan agreed. But Huang Husheng, who stood behind him, suddenly said, "May I go with him?"
After Liu Cuihua looked at him in surprise, he continued, "You are the locals. If some of you leave here suddenly, they will certainly get to the bottom of it. But I'm OK. If someone asks where I go, you can tell him that I've recovered from my injuries and went home."
Liu Cuihua was just a village woman, so she was not a calculating person. But she felt what he said made sense.
She soon nodded, "I'm sorry to trouble you!"
Although Wu Zongyuan spoke nothing, Huang Husheng knew that he was surnamed Mu.
Though he was reluctant, he was destined to get involved in it. They had been in the same boat since they met each other in the Wu Family and knew the identity of the other one.
He smiled and said, "No sweat, it's easy to take care of him. I'm bothering you all these days after all."
They did not say polite remarks any more. Liu Cuihua went to the kitchen to prepare some food and urged them to start out.
The kiln which used to burn charcoal was in the mountain far away from the Wu Family, so it would take most of the day to get there and back. It was difficult to walk on the road in the mountain. Anyone would have been lost in the continuous mountain if no one had led him to walk.
