Chapter 31. Engagement
The day passed. On Sunday morning, Alberto and his family got up early. Then, they took a bath and did their activities until they had breakfast together in the dining room. In the middle of their breakfast, suddenly Alberto's phone rang. Alberto immediately took his phone, and after that, he saw a message notification from Vega.
"You and your family, don't forget to wear the clothes I gave you today! When you're asked later, just follow my instructions! Just say yes! Anyway, don't make them suspect that I'm having a contract marriage with you! Don't let anyone find out about this contract marriage!" Vega's message.
Alberto still remembered Vega's message and would only agree with Vega's words later.

Regarding the clothes, Vega had asked the size of the clothes for Alberto's parents, and Vega had given the clothes to Alberto's parents on Wednesday. Alberto had also given clothes to his parents after being given them by Vega.

"Who sends you the message?" Alberto's mother asked suspiciously.

"Come on! Continue eating again!" After that, they continued their breakfast voraciously.
"Oh, I forgot. Later, mom and dad, please wear clothes from Vega!" Alberto reminded his parents to wear clothes from Vega.
"Vega really wants to see mom and dad wearing those clothes." Alberto continued his sentence by lying. Whereas the reason Vega asked Alberto's parents to wear the clothes was because Vega was afraid that his parents would reject Alberto's proposal because Alberto and his family are not as rich as Vega's family.
"Okay, Alberto! We will wear it," said Alberto's father.
Then, they went to their respective bedrooms and got ready to go to Vega's parents' house. Alberto's parents had worn the clothes Vega had given him and had brought a gift containing lingerie for Vega. After that, they went to the terrace of the house. Then they waited for Vega to be there. Not long after, they saw Vega's car speeding in front of the house. Then, Vega's car stopped to wait for Alberto and his family to arrive.
Quickly, Alberto and his family walked straight to Vega's car. Then, they opened Vega's car door and got into Vega's car. Alberto sat in the seat next to the driver's seat, while Alberto's parents sat in the second seat. Then, Alberto put on his seatbelt.
"Ready?" Vega made sure Alberto and his family were ready to go.
"Yes, Vega." Not long after, Vega started driving a car to go to Vega's parents' house.
At first, the situation was quiet. No one talked. Alberto chose to remain silent because he was confused about the topics he could talk to Vega about.
But Alberto's mother started a conversation by thanking Vega for giving her and his husband. "Thanks, Vega, for the plane ticket that you sent yesterday and these clothes!"
"Yes. Thank you, Vega!" Alberto's father thanked.
"You're welcome."
"Oh, Vega. I recall that it's a gift from us to Vega!" Alberto's mother immediately gave a gift to Vega and gave it to Alberto.
"What's that?" Vega pretended that he was curious about the gift given by Alberto's parents.
"It's a gift for you, Vega, from my parents!" said Alberto as he showed Vega.
"And from Alberto too." Alberto's mother added.
"Wow! Really? Thank you!" Vega immediately thanked them.
"You're welcome."
"Please, put the gift there first, Alberto!" Vega immediately asked Alberto to put the gift on the dashboard of the car, and after that, Alberto obeyed Vega's orders.
During the trip, Alberto's mother and Vega talked about many things, starting from Vega's experience teaching as a lecturer. Vega lied by reasoning that she needed a lot of money to become a lecturer, and she really didn't expect to see Alberto again.
"You and Vega are good friends. So, you and Vega will meet again. They will find and meet each other if a mate goes for however long the mate goes. Just like us before. I haven't had a mate for a long time until I met my wife at the office when I was thirty years old," commented Alberto's father.
"Yes. I don't expect that."
"How about Alberto's attitude in class?"
"He is a good and smart student. I'm extremely proud of him." After that, Vega mentioned the many good things that Alberto had done for her, including helping Vega tell the chancellor that she was sick.
"Tell the chancellor?" Alberto's father couldn't believe Vega's words.
"Yes. I was surprised. I think he would just be silent. I'm so afraid with the chancellor. So, I thought Alberto wouldn't tell him about my disease. That's what I thought," commented Vega.
"Wow, Alberto is so kind! No wonder Vega wants to date Alberto again," commented Alberto's mother.
"Yes. He's really kind. That's one of the reasons I want to have a date with Alberto again. You still remember that moment, right, Alberto?"
Alberto has forgotten about the good things he has done to Vega, but Alberto only agreed with Vega's words.
"It's been a long time, Alberto." Alberto's father was curious. Alberto immediately gave Vega an eye signal that he had completely forgotten about. But Vega's eyes instead said that Alberto had to answer immediately.
"Alberto? Did it happen a long time ago?" Alberto's father repeated his question. Alberto was stunned.
"Yes. It happened a long time," Vega chirped.
"Oh! How can you forget it?" groaned Vega.
"I'm sorry, Honey! I forget." Alberto immediately scratched his head, which didn't itch, because he felt very awkward.
"Yes. That's the man! A man easily forgets! So, don't be shock!" Alberto's father commented.
Vega also told other stories about her closeness with Alberto, the person in charge of her class. Not long after, they arrived at Vega's grandparents' house. From inside the car, it was clear that Vega's parents, Violeta, and Violeta's family had been waiting for them.
Alberto knew that Vega's parents, Violeta, and Violeta's family were luxuriously dressed. He was very nervous when he found out about it. The sweat dripped off immediately. His heart was beating fast.
"Oh! Their clothes are too fancy. Not like my clothes and my family. What should I do? Will they accept my proposal?" Alberto complained unintentionally.

"You're so perfect." Vega praised Alberto. Vega's word calmed Alberto down and made him smile.
"We have arrived!" Vega commented.
Vega immediately pressed the button on his car, and after that, they immediately got out of it. Then, they closed the car door and walked towards Vega's parents' house, with Vega walking in front of Alberto and Alberto's parents. Alberto didn't forget to bring a gift for Vega.
At that time, Vega gave the gift that she had prepared. She whispered to Alberto. "Please, give this gift too!"
"Okay."
When they neared the yard, Vega's parents, Violeta, and Vega's family immediately greeted them with great joy.
"Hello, Vega!"
"Hello, Mom, Dad! He is my boyfriend (Alberto), and they are his parents!" Vega immediately introduced Alberto and his family. Then they got to know each other.
"Who is he, Vega?" Violeta asked confusedly.
"He is Alberto. He's my boyfriend." Vega introduced Alberto to Violeta.
"Alberto wants to propose Vega. That's why we come here." Alberto's mother explained the reason for their arrival.
"Oh, Alberto. Please, come in! I think we can discuss it in the living room because it's private," Vega's mother said as she invited Alberto's family inside.
Alberto's family walked behind Vega's parents. When they arrived in the living room, they sat down immediately. Meanwhile, Violeta went straight to the kitchen to prepare drinks for them, and soon Violeta came back to bring drinks for them. Then, Violeta gave each glass to a different person in the living room.
"So, would you mind telling your reason again?" Vega's father asked again.
"So, we want to propose to your daughter." Alberto's mother explained the purpose.
"Here is the gift for Vega!" Alberto immediately received gift from his parents and from Vega.
"For me, it's up to Vega because the household will be run later by Vega and Alberto. So, Vega, do you want to get married with Alberto?" Vega's mother immediately asked Vega's opinion and looked at Vega.
"Yes. That's true." Vega's father agreed.
"Do you want to accept it, Vega?" said Vega's father.
"Yes. I want to accept it." Vega immediately agreed while nodding her head. Her cheeks were red because she was embarrassed, and actually, she is in love with Alberto.
"Oh. By the way, how are your wedding plans?" Evan was very curious about Alberto and Vega's wedding plans.
"For the plans, I'll follow Vega's opinion!" said Alberto excitedly.
"Oh. Okay." After that, they talked about how Vega got close to Alberto and where they first met.
"Alberto, is Vega a fierce professor?" asked Violeta.
"Sometimes, she is fierce and makes me scared," commented Alberto.
"You said that you're afraid, but you want to propose to her and you want to be close to her too," Alberto's mother commented.
"Yes, Mom. I love her so much."
"Oh! What a romantic couple!"
Then they continued their conversation. After they talked for a while, Alberto's family immediately went home while Alberto ordered a taxi online.
"I'm sorry! We must go home. We have another thing to do."
"Oh I see. Well, then. See you later!"
"See you later, Alberto!" Vega waved her hand at Alberto.
"See you later, Vega!" Alberto waved his hand at Vega.
Not long after, the taxi came. They immediately walked to the taxi. Once near the taxi, they immediately entered, and after that, the taxi immediately took them back to Alberto's house.
