Erin blithely warmly welcomed Isabel and her second cousins Christina and Percy. The elegance of the mansion and its expensive furnishings inside awed her visitors, as did the five maids and ten bodyguards who lined up in front of the mansion to greet them.
"I'm so glad you guys came..." and with a smile on her face, she said.
"Oh my goodness! This mansion is phenomenal, and you look stunning in that silk dress..." Christina started with a golden glow in her eyes.
She shyly smiled and said "Oh, thank you… let's get inside…" She invited the three people inside.
When they got inside, they saw a long table full of expensive food, and Isabel looked at Erin confused in her eyes and was about to speak but Erin answered her query immediately. "uhhh ... don't worry aunt, you don't have to eat everything, it was Nathan, who decided that since he doesn't know the foods you want to eat…" Erin explained everything to her visitors and they are all overwhelmed.
"So is it true that you marry a multi-billionaire man?" Percy whispered in her ear and it made her gasp in annoyance. "Percy...I don't know what to say but…" she paused a moment and cleared her throat. "It was a long story and it was so complicated to tell...the easiest way to say is that he's my husband," she said and then they sat together in the dining area already.
"You are so lucky, Erin…" Christina said and smiled.
She knew they'd ask her a series of doubts about her life and how she became the billionaire's wife, so she had her excuses ready.
Erin's gaze was fixed on the watch as the waiter brought them wine, and she wondered why Nathan hadn't shown up yet and what had happened there.
"So, Erin, how did you meet Mr. Velasco?" Isabel asked her with a curious face and sipped her red wine.
"Uhm…"
"Yes, Erin, tell us about it; oh my goodness, I can't wait to hear your beautiful story!" Percy stated.
"Percy, please stay calm...Erin is going to tell us right now. Would that be completely right, Erin?" Christina clarified, and she was attempting to persuade her to say something because they were all interested in her life. Before Erin could speak, she raised one finger to summon the butler and murmured into his ear, to which the butler simply nodded and exited the room.
"So...I met Nathan at the..." She paused when her eyes met Nathan's, or is she already dreaming? She blinked and there he was, Nathan with a flower in his hand, walking towards her in what felt like slow motion.
"Hi everyone...I'm sorry I'm late," Nathan said as he greeted the visitor.
"Hello, honey..." He then kissed her on the cheek and handed her the yellow roses.
"Hello, Mr. Velasco," says Percy to get his attention. "You look lovely and incredible...you are flawless!" Erin chuckled at Percy's reaction since she knows how Nathan is feeling right now and it feels so uncomfortable for Nathan.
Nathan crossed his arms over his chest and gave Percy a half-smile. "Isn't that a nice compliment, Miss?"
"Oh, just call me by my first name...Percy..." then Percy smiled at him and Christina gave a bad state to Percy not to speak anymore.
"Uhm...honey, sit with me, and before I forget to introduce you to my family, this aunt Isabel is my mother's sister, and Christina and Percy are my first cousins."
"It's a pleasure to meet you all...how beautiful these ladies are, just like you honey..." Nathan said, looking at Erin.
Erin was also staring into Nathan's dark blue eyes, and her chest seemed to burst into flames with his stares at her, and she remembered the two of them actually having sex in the car, so she looked away, biting her lower lip, and Isabel also stared at her, making the two of them smile.
"Thank you, Mr. Velasco, for inviting us to this spectacular dinner, and we would love to hear Erin and your beautiful love story," Isabel said as she began slicing the steaks.
Nathan held her hand tightly under the table and then brought it to her smooth and silky leg, she gasped but managed to speak, while Nathan's palm caressed her thighs "well... we met in an unbelievable place, he fell in love with me when he first saw me until we began dating and we eventually married one another."
"Wow, that was rapid! So fast like a flash of thunder! I wish I could marry someone like you…" Percy said jokingly and chuckled.
"You will find your own soulmate and best friend too, Percy...just trust the process and you'll get there,'' Erin said and took a fork to take the meat and chew it.
She lowered Nathan's hand to her right thigh and stared at it, then smiled with pleasure, but her eyes said otherwise; she is disgusted, but her body appears to enjoy his touch.
"Congratulations guys, we are happy for the both of you but at the same time we are a little upset because you know we are not there with the most precious event of my niece," Isabel said.
When Nathan heard Isabel's remarks, he stopped caressing Erin's thigh and straightened his back, and adjusted his necktie, thinking of the upcoming wedding, a lovely wedding when Erin will accept his proposal.
"Don't worry, that was a hasty wedding because I couldn't afford to lose her, so there was no magnificent wedding...but the next time she says yes...that would be wonderful, another grand wedding with a complete family will be along soon..." he said, and Erin's eyes widened with his unexpected explanation, Christina clapped her hand, and Percy held her mouth open, leaving Isabel speechless.
Christina was taken aback and asked, "Seriously?"
"I'm serious," Nathan responded and smirked at her.
"That was fantastic...we'll definitely be attending your big wedding soon," Percy added.
"It's your second wedding! Wow, I can't even imagine...congrats! Erin, you are quite fortunate."
Erin is stunned and can only stare at her family's happy expressions, thinking to herself, "This is a nightmare..." with her face of humiliation.
