A cruise ship arrived on their island today, and it appears that Nathan's sister has invited many guests, including that self-proclaimed girlfriend of Nathan, Marga, who is still far away from her but she knows that the girl is already frowning. Erin didn't realize Nathan was watching her from behind when she was busy greeting the guests and Nathan's half-sister's companions were looking at her. Some are hotty boys who are sons of well-off families.
"Erin Raylee, I apologized for forgetting to introduce myself to you when we first met. I'm Mika, Nathan's half-sister." Mika said while shaking her hand and smile at her.
"Oh don't worry... it's okay," she replied. "It's nice to meet you!" Then she added at the end of her sentence that Marga grabbed Mika inside of the mansion.
Luke was the last person to disembark from the cruise liner, and he was still waving his hand and smiling at Erin from afar. Nathan clasped Erin's hand in his and glanced at it with a familiar 'what' look.
"Luke has arrived...your pal." She stated to Nathan, who doesn't seem to mind whether Luke is present. Nathan muttered to himself, "Why is he here?" because he knew Luke had a reason for pursuing Erin, and he knew luke wouldn't take long if it wasn't worth it to him.
"Erin, you're looking stunning today...
It's great to see you again." Luke greets Erin with a compliment and opens his arms wide to hug her, and Erin is taken aback by Luke's abrupt embrace.
"Hello there, Luke...I wasn't expecting you to show up, but I'm glad you did. Finally, we'll be able to discuss a variety of topics and you'll be able to bond with your Buddy." With a smile on her face, she responds and is pulled away by his embrace.
"Why did you think of visiting my island when, as far as I know, you don't want to return here?" Nathan said this while putting his hands in his pockets, making him look very hot, and the women approaching him are only looking at Nathan and then at Luke. Both are attractive, but Nathan stands out. Then Nathan scratches his beard and says, "Well... people change, Nathan." gave Erin a friendly smile.
Erin frowned as she wondered why she thought Nathan didn't appreciate Luke's visit on the island, so she sneezed farewell, intending to depart first and let the two talk, but luke caught her to it.
"Please allow me a minute of your time." Nathan frowned in disbelief at what Luke had stated and they waits for Erin's response.
"Sure, why not?" She nodded and switched her attention to Nathan, who was staring intently into Luke's eyes.
"I'll be Luke's tour guide on the island, Nathan. So, Luke, let's get started...!" Erin is unconcerned with Nathan's approval because she is a free and independent woman.
"Damn it!" Nathan muttered to himself as he watched the two walk away from him in the opposite direction. Both Erin and Luke seem pleased to be speaking with each other, and Luke seems to be enjoying Erin's presence as well.
He was going to pursue the two, but his phone suddenly rang. He hired a private investigator to look into Erin's family business that he purchased with the intention of turning it into a construction firm, but he wants more information on the business that unexpectedly went bankrupt after Erin's parents died.
"What the news?" he asked in a serious manner.
"You're not going to like what I'm going to tell you about Raylee's company, sir Nathan. It's not just a shoe company, but drugs play a role as well. According to a source, there is a drug factory under the company for Raylee's major clients. Their death was also not an accident, because they embezzled two hundred million dollars from one of their clients, causing them to become enraged and kill the Raylee couple. What's more dangerous is that they're looking for Raylee's daughter in order for her to repay her parents' debt."
He plucked at the cuff of his shirt because he felt drenched in cold water as a result of the information he had received, and he immediately hung up the phone with his private investigator. He's afraid that if something bad happens to Erin, he won't accept it, so he's just protecting her now, and he won't tell Erin the truth first because he's afraid of what will happen next. She feels Erin's grief night after night; she may appear to be fine on the outside, but she is a fragile girl who sought to escape reality.
He didn't know how to tell Erin to just stay with him since he could protect her from wicked minds. He has the means to repay the debt of her parents, but his primary worry is for Erin's well-being. Marga, who was wearing a red bikini and approached him, is in his way. He intended to go to Erin, but Marga has blocked his path. he hunched his shoulders and gritted his teeth, expecting Marga to torment him once more.
"Marga, what are you in the mood for? Didn't I previously tell you that there was no such thing as 'us'? There are a lot of men out there who want and desire on you. Please do not approach or approach me in any form.
"After I've given you my body and kept your bed warm all night, this is what you're going to do to me? What kind of man do you think you are?"
"You took advantage of my inebriation so that something happened to us, and you provided your body to me; you can't force me to be with you if I wouldn't want to. Sorry for the inconvenience." He responded by walking away, but Marga stopped him and offered him a passionate kiss, which he violently yanked away. Marga was on the verge of crying because of what he did, but he didn't like her and it wasn't in his nature to play with women's hearts, so he bluntly told her that he didn't have feelings for her before it was too late.
"I'm not sure what's going on between you and Erin, but one thing is certain: that girl will only cause you harm!" she exclaimed and fighting her tears not to burst out.
"And before I forgot," Marga added her sentence and slapped him hard.
"That's for hurting me but I will never give up my feelings on you, you are mine," Marga said and walk away. Nathan caressed his cheek because being slapped by a woman hurts, and that's one of their superpowers, but thank Goodness for Marga because Nathan respects women and can't slap them.
On their way to the beach, Luke and Erin came upon two chairs and decided to sit in them.
"Today he appears to be quiet... I don't know what happened to him." Erin began talking about Nathan while they were sitting in the sand. "However, Olivia texted me to say that you assisted her with her upcoming wedding; I had no idea you were my best friend's cousin." She continues and smiles at Luke, who is staring at her before setting in the sand.
"Yeah...I was always present in your family on every occasion, but you didn't notice me. I'm always standing in the corner, staring at you..." He said this while giving her a half-smile. Erin was taken aback by Luke's words because she couldn't recall ever meeting him before, but she seemed anxious in his stares.
"Erin, do you mind if I ask you a question?" Luke asked her as he looked heaven forward.
"Of course, what is it?" she asked confused maybe is something important questions.
"How are you and Nathan? Is it true that you're his girlfriend?" luke asked her in a serious tone and his face darkened.
His gaze was drawn to her when he asked her if she was Nathan's girlfriend. But the truth is that on paper she is Nathan's wife, and no one else should know, so now she doesn't know what alibi she should give Luke, and her face turned red when she saw Nathan, who was topless and his swimming shorts were soaked from swimming in the sea and he's coming to get her.
"N-Nathan? What are you doing here? Did you follow us until here?" She stuttered while her eyes is in his abs then she turned to Luke who was still waiting for her answer.
"I'm not his girlfriend, Luke. I'm just with him because we have....we have a plan...I mean work stuff, you know?" She smiles just to cover her awkwardness.
Luke's face lit up when he heard the answer of Erin then smirked at Nathan who was patiently waiting for her attention.
"Why can't you just tell him the truth?" Nathan said and that challenged her.
"Nathan...stop the game...please." Nathan was reprimanded by her to remain silent.
"We don't have a relationship, to be honest. Luke, I'll catch up with you later. I had to leave." She remarked this as she walked away from Nathan's tense situation. Because she was perplexed as to why this man was grouchy today and refused to speak to her, and now he is coming to get her. How pitiful that she gets annoyed right away when the mansion is crammed with people who are throwing a party late at night. The breeze was still cool, and she needed to rest, but how could she sleep when there was so much noise outside? That's why she went inside the mansion to check how dispersed the people were, wondering when it would all be finished. Marga, on the other hand, leaped in front of her while holding a bottle of beer, and she even laughed hysterically in front of her while dancing. She tried to avoid Marga but this girl is following her.
"Can you please stop following me Marga or do you want me to drag you upside down? Huh?"
Marga stopped following her and lost the smiles on her lips before suddenly pulling her hair and she fought back, and somebody begged them to stop, Mika saw her and glared at her like she's a bad person.
"What's going on here?" Mika inquires of Marga. The other people then look at them and the music stops. "Guys, don't worry about us! Continue the celebration!" Marga claims that when she was drunk, people cheered for her.
"Take Marga with you, I don't have time to explain because I'm tired." She said that to Mika and turned her back and she took a deep breath and went to her room, but her door was broken, and when she went inside, the clothes and all her belongings in the closet were empty, and when she opened the door of Nathan's room, it's not locked and so she saw all her things in his bed with a note that said, 'you can stay here for tonight,' she rolled her eyes and went to the bathroom to shower. Understanding of what just happened today. She feels exhausted when she enters Nathan's Life and she doesn't want this. She feels the water dripping in her body, which feels good for her being. She doesn't hear the door open when Nathan goes inside his room and goes to the bathroom to pee, and when she remembers she forgot the towel, she tries to be outside of the shower and walks naked inside the room while Nathan is drooling at her, and she doesn't realize the man is looking at her because the room is dark.
"Would you mind putting on some clothes?" She was nervous when she heard a voice inside the room, and then her knees softened because she was ashamed of herself, and she was even more nervous when she saw Nathan standing in front of her, staring at her naked body.
