At the coffee shop.
9:00 A.M
"I never imagined he'd truly marry someone like me. I was a rock to him; I've always been stubborn, but he chose me again and again." I said, laughing.
My sister has suddenly become my best friend; who would have guessed that I used to treat her badly because I didn't like her, and now she is the one I can confide in and share information with.
"You know what? I am happy to see you with him being happy and enjoying life with no worries because there's no George anymore or any Samantha one of his ex. It is like the problem will always be there to annoy us but we need to keep strong." she said and sipped her coffee.
I sniffed because, despite the fact that I'm freezing owing to the cold weather, I enjoy the ambiance of the coffee shop and the half-sister with whom I spoke. She is quite pleasant to converse with.
I'm head over heels in love with her right now.
I'm staring at the street, watching people go by; they're preoccupied with their phones and their lives; some are rushing to get to work; others are just getting to school, and some taxi drivers are waiting for their first passenger of the day. I sighed and fixed my gaze on my sister, who was stroking her visible baby bump. She has a huge face right now, and she looks adorable.
Due to her pregnant hormones, his nose also grows larger.
"Don't look at me like that, I know I look so ugly right now." She said and sighed.
"No, you are always looking good…" I said and laugh.
"I heard that you are going to visit George this afternoon, are you going to talk to him?"
"I'm going to forgive him for what he did to me so I can move on with my life without holding grudges against him. With my baby and Alexander, I need to rebuild my life and start new, vibrant, and enthusiastic." I replied to her while staring at my cold coffee. Damn, I forgot I have a coffee, I've been so focused on talking about things and observing the life of other people outside.
"Yes, you are right…I am happy for you." She said.
Then the rain comes, "Oh here's the rain…I think the snow is coming because it's raining. Do you like the freezing cold outside?"
"In my case? No." I chuckles and texted Alexander to take me out of here because it is already raining.
"Anyway, I have to go now…Donovan is waiting for me in the car, do you want to join us?" She asks me, offering a ride.
I shake my head and smile at her, "No, don't worry about me. I am just waiting for Alexander." I said, "Take care…both of you." I said.
I observe her getting feeling heavy as she rose from her seat and winked at me, she take her little purse into her hand and carry it with her other hand, she bent down to take her umbrella. "I have this just in case because I know will be raining today, this is for you…" she gives me her umbrella.
"Really? Thank you…"
I smile at her and wave my hand as she goes outside and takes the car.
I call Alexander, "Where are you? You are supposed to be here with me And where the hell are you?" I ask him in a bad mood. I've been suffering from a bad attitude these days, I got easily get irritated because of him but I still love him, he is my life.
"Baby, it's traffic but I'm coming, just stay there and don't go outside because it's running…" he said.
"Yeah. be here as soon as possible! I don't like waiting and please stop making me hate you…" I said and pouted.
"Yes, baby…don't be mad at me. I'm going to reward you with a kiss."
I smile and bit my lower lip, "Make sure it will be a lot of kisses."
"Of course."
I ordered a lot of pastries and some sugar-coated bread while I'm waiting for him. I like the taste of this bread, and another client looks at me as if I'm crazy for eating so much sugar. Why are they so concerned? It's not their money, and my baby has just asked me to eat everything.
These are my current cravings.
"Please don't look at me like that, I'm pregnant..." I said.
"Oh, we're sorry for judging you...," they were surprised and smiled at me. "Pregnant women have strange cravings. Congratulations and good health," she added as they step outside, shivering in the cold with their umbrellas and waiting for a taxi, the old woman says something and takes her grandson with her.
I just nod my head and I feel so full now, then later on Alexander arrived, he is wet from the outside because I know he won't have an umbrella with him.
"Are you ready to go?"
"Yeah, how about you?"
When his eyes landed on my food, his eyes began to widen as he look at all those foods that I have just eaten. "Jeezzz! Did you eat all of that?"
"Yeah, you have a problem?" I ask him and he laughs,
"No…you are eating too much, don't worry, I still love you…"
I take a tissue to clean my mouth and handed him the green umbrella, "It's for you…use that to shade me from the rain." I said.
"Uh-hmm, you are always treating me a slave these past few days…"
"If you want to be a husband, you need to take care of your wife, pamper her, and obey her as always…" I said and grasp his hand as we walk, some girls inside the coffee shop just stare at my future husband. Well, sorry girls. He is already mine.
I wave at them and smile like a silly woman.
"Honey, why did you do that?" he ask me as he escorted me to his car, his driver is waiting inside while playing a game in his phone.
"Why? I am just happy teasing them that you are mine."
The driver immediately closes his phone and says, "Good day, Maam, sir." he greeted us.
"And he is playing a game on his phone, terrific." I winked at the driver, I know the driver feels embarrassed because if Alexander was a strict boss, he is already been kicked out of his work. But we are fine with him, he doesn't have any problem at all and he is a kind and nice man.
"Don't worry, Mister?" I ask his name.
"Just call me Rodney, Maam."
"Don't worry about your job, Alexander is not like the other boss that is strict, he is a generous boss," I said.
"Honey, let me fasten your seatbelt." Alexander said and sighed, "But next time, you need to be a good driver, No phone while you are driving because my wife is pregnant, she doesn't need to be stressed, okay? We need to take care of her because she is an angel." Alexander said referring to his driver.
"Yes, sir…I know my limits."
"Okay, drive now." Alexander closes the private window that separates the driver and the passenger so that he can touch my thighs and slide his finger to my underwear.
"What are you doing?"
"No one can see us…" He said and kissed my cheek and to my neck traveling to my nipples, he pulled one of my breasts and he sucked it like a thirsty baby.
I moaned silently and bit my lower lip and arched my back, "Not now, we are going to the rehab center to see George and you are really doing this to me?" I ask him.
He chuckles and puts his thumb on my nipples and he fixes again my clothes and he gets back to his seat while he is looking at me.
"When I will have a solo moment with you? I want to have a moment with you tonight…I have been longing for that body before your stomach big, I want to make love with you so wild every night." that is his wish and I burst out laughing.
"My goodness you are so funny…" I tilted my head and laugh again.
Now that the car is on its way to the rehab center, I schedule a final visit with George. Because Alexander and I intended to leave this town and make plans to live in another country to start a new life.
"I am happy that you are happy today…we will going to meet him now."
"Yes, I am sure he knows that we are visiting him, but please take care, I need to be inside with you because we don't know what he's up to." Alexander reminds me.
"Yeah, so you are coming with me."
When we arrived at the place, Alexander just hold my hand and kissed my cheek.
"It's okay…" I said as I hold tightly his hand and together we walk to the hall as the guards lead us to the other room so that we can talk to George properly.
"Hi…" George said.
He looks miserable, I think he doesn't have enough sleep these days.
I remember when I first meet him, it is so much different compared to now.
Alexander grabbed a chair for me, I smile at him and George can't even look in my eyes. He just look to his feet and maybe he realized all of his sins and mistakes after all this time.
I saw the tears just rolling in his eyes, He wiped them with his trembling hand says, "I'm sorry…"
I take a deep breath and Alexander just stares at me, his eyes are only focused on me and I clear my throat to say something to George,
"It's all right, I've already forgiven you... But I'm hoping you'll learn and grow and become a better person; I'm hoping you'll heal." I rose from my seat and says, "Goodbye, George."
