Desiree's POV
I am preparing my bed now for a good night's sleep and after that I put moisturizer on my face, comb my hair in front of the mirror and smile at my reflection in the mirror.
I am wearing a thin and silky pyjama, the fabric is so smooth and I just sigh in relaxation. After being so disgusted with myself, I learned to love myself again.
I opened my phone and I just received a voice message from Johanna, I smiled and her message, "Hi, I leave you a voice message and I hope you received this and hear this now. I am getting married, Desiree…you are invited but where are you now? I haven't seen you in a week." Johanna said.
I push the button to reply to her, saying, "Hey, sorry…I've been so busy these days. Maybe we can see each other tomorrow? I will be happy to see you." I push the button and send her my voicemail.
Then after that, I lay on my bed grabbing my blanket and closing my eyes, then I just heard a knock on my door. I groaned and stood up again to check who this person is who is annoying me in the middle of my sleep.
Well, I am not sleeping yet but I'm planning to sleep.
"What do you want?" I ask Alexander. My lips curl because I am sleepy and he is annoying me with his sweet and handsome face looking at me.
He scratched his neck and smiled at me, "Sorry, did I disturb you from sleeping?"
I calm myself and stare at him, "Obviously…yes."
He let out a small chuckle and pushed me inside of my room and locked the door behind him. "Sorry about that, but I want to sleep with you tonight. Is that alright?"
I parted my lips in shock, "we are always sleeping together, why did you ask now if we can sleep together?" I rolled my eyes and went back to my bed and grabbed the blanket to cover my shivering and cold body.
"Yes, you can sleep here, just don't disturb me anymore, I need to sleep 8 hours straight." I said as I yawned and he just frowned at me. I don't understand what he's talking about but I am really tired now and I want to sleep.
"Yeah but…" he said and I just raised my middle finger to shut his mouth, "can you just sleep next to me and stop being so complicated? Goodnight."
"Okay fine, but maybe tomorrow I'm going to ask you again about that…"
That's the last word I hear from him before I finally decide to close my eyes and sleep tightly and soundly tonight…
The Next Morning,
I was preparing breakfast when I received a message from Johanna that she is already waiting for me in the fancy coffee shop.
Oh, this girl really misses me. She is too early now and she wants me to wear the bridesmaid gown because she is the one who asked me to be her bridesmaid instead of her own sister. She doesn't always have a good and stable relationship with her sister, I am more a sister to her.
"Alright, I'm coming."
"Where are you going? You have a date with your friend?" Alexander ask me when he spotted me at the kitchen eating my early breakfast.
"Yeah, I forgot to tell you that I have a meeting today with my friend, she is getting married and I miss her, so I'm going to see her today." I responded to him.
He rubbed his chin while thinking, "Do you want me to come with you?"
"No, you don't need to worry about that, I am fine to be alone. I guess George will never bother me anymore because he doesn't want to go to prison." I explained to him while finishing my breakfast and put the dirty plate and glass in the kitchen sink, then I cleaned them so fast while Alexander was still not convinced that I am going alone without him and without a bodyguard by my side.
"Well, I don't want you to go alone. If you don't want me to go with you…then it's better to have some of my bodyguards take care of you." He said and he give me a convincing smile. I look at my wrist watch and I am already late, Johanna is waiting for me there for about an hour now. I feel sorry for her because I am always late, late comer as always.
"Okay fine," I sighed and walked towards him and give him a peck on the cheek saying "good morning and I will see you this afternoon."
"And we are going to have a dinner date right?"
"What are you talking about?!" I laughed at him and pinched his nose then ran away from him, I got into the car and the driver drove me to the fancy coffee shop where Johanna was waiting for me.
"Oh no…" I said, "Mister Rusco. Can you just drive to the flower shop. My friend changed her destination." I said as I bit my lower lip, I feel terrible now because the driver is very old and I just need to give him another work to drive a long way again.
"Okay Ma'am."
"Thank you, Mister Rusco. You are so kind."
"Don't worry Ma'am, I am just doing my job." Mister Rusco smile at me.
I looked at the side mirror and saw that the other car was Alexander's men following me. He is so protective of me now and I feel so secure but I am not happy that there's a lot of men following me wherever I go because some people are curious and looking at me from head to toe. They are thinking if I'm a celebrity or just an ordinary rich f*king woman. They don't know my story though but when they stare at me and they judge so fast. Wow, so humans.
