Desiree's POV
I looked at Alexander, who was sleeping, and noticed that his eyes were tired and that he appeared to be very exhausted with everything. I felt sorry for him because he had always been there to protect me from George.
He has been so wonderful to me, and I had no clue that it would come to this, that he would stand by my side no matter what.
Then I grunt and see him move to his couch and open his eyes. His eyes are sleepy but are staring at me now, he is ready to take care of me and help me to walk inside the bathroom, "I am fine, just stay there…I am going to pee." I told him as I closed the door and he just nodded his head with a smile on his face.
Then I heard that there were a lot of people now inside of my room and they are looking for me while they are talking to Alexander, they were nice to him and I just realised it was my mom and my half-sister talking to Alexander and my dad just let out a small laugh and I just wash my face and look at my reflection on the mirror, I look pale and so white. Probably I need some vitamins and sunrays.
I opened the bathroom and door and saw them, they were both stunned to see me.
I clear my throat and Alexander just holds my hand he helps me to be on my bed again, "Hi…mom and dad."
"I am happy that you are okay, that you are fine. But why did n't you tell us about George? We are so worried about you right now, I am glad that Alexander is here to tell us about the truth. You can't keep this forever with us, Desiree. We are your family and we should know about it so that we can protect you from any harm or danger." My mom said in a long speech.
I smile at my mom and say, "I am fine mom, you don't need to worry about me anymore."
"You are fine because Alexander is always by your side, what if there's no Alexander? George will be successful in abducting you and forcing you to marry him."
My eyes widened, wait, how did they know that?
"Yes, we know it already…you don't have to be shocked, your friend Johanna is in jail now because she sabotaged and had a deal with George." My father said and My sister just sighed, I know that she's affected too by what happened to me because she is not talking or giving some opinions, I know her for being bubbly and talkative and now she is not talking to me or to anyone inside the room, she is just silent and listening quietly.
"We need to help Johanna, maybe she was just forced to do that, she is getting married and I don't want to take it from her…"
"It's too late, the guy that wants to marry her, ditched her already like trash," Patricia said.
It's a miracle that she is talking now like a b*tch. I glared at her because I don't know if she is telling the truth or not.
"I'm sorry to tell you this, I know she is your friend that betrayed you so suddenly that you have no idea that it will ruin your own life, but you don't need her anymore as your friend. Whatever happens to her, it's her fault and not your fault." Patricia explained to me.
I am wondering now why my sister suddenly became so good to me, she is being a good sister now, I like her more today than yesterday.
I sighed and gave her a warm smile.
She bit her lower lip and tried to hide her smile from me.
My mom walked towards me and Alexander suddenñly stood up so that my mom could take his place, "I am happy that there is someone who is protecting you…and it's him." My mom said as she pointed at Alexander.
"You are welcome, I am just happy to help and I want her to always be safe…" Alexander said, his voice is so attractive to my ears, it sounds so good and I am loving to replay it in my head of what he just said that he wants me to be safe as always.
And I feel so safe now when he is with me.
"Thank you, Alexander."
I suddenly gulped when my father called Alexander by his first name, my father usually addressed Alexander as Mister Roberts.
And now it's different.
Something has changed.
After all the random talks and everything, My mom and dad decided to go home now and left me in my room.
Alexander is here with me, he never leaves me in any seconds. I wonder why? Because he loves me? Because he is attracted to me that's why? I don't know what the answer is either.
But I am very certain that I love him now.
Always…
"Uhm, hey, what do you want for dinner?" he asked me.
I began to walk and tried to walk properly, but my knees are still weak. He put me in a wheelchair. "I want to go outside, feel the atmosphere…I heard it's raining." I said.-
He smiles at me, "It's cold out there, do you want to go? You need a jacket." He said and took my jacket from my bag and put it on me, "Thank you for being here, you are always taking care of me."
"When I will be weak and old, you are going to take care of me too." He joked.
I laughed at his joke, but then I realised that we will get old and I can picture him to be my husband, and getting old together is a pleasure and contentment. How nice to have him.
"So are you ready now…" he asks me and I nod my head, "Yeah…thank you."
"You are always welcome, sweety." He pushed my wheelchair and while he was behind I couldn't see his face. But I am smiling now like a crazy woman.
While we are looking at the rain, he takes a chair so that he can sit next to me, "Do you love rain?"
"yeah…I love it and please don't ask me why because I don't know what I'm going to answer you." I chuckled when I said that and he smiled at me. He put his hand around my shoulder and gently pressed my arm with his warm palm. "I love rain too."
We both stayed in that position until the rain started to stop pouring. His face was so close to mine that he wanted to kiss me. I just closed my eyes when he said, "Do you want to sleep now? You can't skip dinner."
My cheeks heated, he just embarrassed me, I thought he was going to kiss me. Then I just gulped and scratched my neck while looking at him, "Yeah, I need to have dinner now. How about you? Aren't you hungry?" I ask him with a soft voice.
"Yeah, I need to eat too." He smirked and began to push my wheelchair again, then a car just stopped by and his men arrived. They opened the car for us and said, "Good evening, ma'am and sir."
"Hello, guys." Alexander greeted them with his normal aura.
He is not being so fierce to them now, he is a little light and not a strict boss.
"Where are we going?" He put my seatbelt on and he just pecked a kiss on my lips before answering my question. "We are going to your favourite restaurant, the night that I take you there you told me that restaurant is your favourite as of now." He said.
I chuckle because he is so thoughtful. He thinks of my happiness, and he wants me to feel content tonight.
When we arrived at the restaurant, some waitresses became my friends and they were so friendly and hospitable when we were about to order our food.
The food was prepared in 30 minutes, that was for me because I am so hungry now and drooling.
"This is so good." I said under my breath and he just laughed at my reaction, "It's still hot, you need to be careful…" He said as he gave the spoon.
I ordered a hot soup, and it's perfect for the weather today because it's cold when it's raining and windy.
"Are you still cold?" He asked me.
I take off my jacket and shake my head, "No, I am fine, and I am not freezing now."
"Yeah because I told them to put a heater next to you…"
My heart began to pump in excitement and happiness because Alexander just told me that. I turned my head and looked down at my feet where I saw the heater next to my feet, and I turned my glance at him and I smiled at him sweetly. Gosh, he is so sweet, he makes me hallucinate about what is going on with our relationship now because this is not just lust, but it's a word of love and action with love.
"Then you can eat now," he said. I gulped and began to eat my food little by little while smiling.
Then his phone began to ring. I don't know who is calling him but I think that is urgent because he suddenly answered that and said, "Excuse, I just need to take this call." then leave me alone while I'm eating.
I sighed and just continued to eat.
The food is delicious and I am so hungry.
The food is important now, I need to give my attention to the food on the table rather than being occupied thinking about him.
As I look at the glass, I glance at him from the outside and his face is not happy to receive a call like that.
He is arguing with someone on his phone and I sighed.
The waitress came to me and said, "Ma'am do you need something?" she asked me.
I smiled at her and tilted my head, "No, thank you for asking." I said.
The waitress just left me as she nodded her head.
Damn that man took so long talking with someone on his phone, I am almost finished with my food now and he is still not yet here. Because I'm bored I tried to make myself fine and just mind my own business.
I take a glass of water and I caress my stomach when I feel that I am so full right now.
Then he came back inside and his eyes widened when he saw me finish all the food, "Sorry, I ate all your food…" I said as I burped.
"Oh…" he gulped and put me on my wheelchair again, "Hey, where are we going now?"
"We need to go back to the mansion, I heard that George is roaming the hospital where you are at." he said as he pushed my wheelchair, "How about the payment?" I asked him about the bill in the restaurant.
"I already paid them, Desiree."
"Then we need to go now?"
'`Yes, because George is here to make you suffer." he whispered to my ear, "Just take a deep breath and don't be afraid. Everything is going to be fine, that bastard is too hard to get…" Alexander said and he ask his body guards to help me get inside of the car.
When we are inside his car, he holds my hand and says, "Promise me that you will not be going to cry when you hear this news."
"What kind of news? Is it good or bad?"
"I don't know where to start Desiree…" he said and held my hand tightly.
"What? Tell me what happened? I always receive bad news, it's not new to me anymore."
"Your father's company was still on fire at the moment..."
