Desiree's POV
"You know him?" I asked Alexander when I finally arrived at his house, I walked fast and desperately wanted to dive in his bed and sleep right away. But I'm still thinking how did he know about carl? Carl has been so annoying ever since I met him.
"Yeah, I know him. So good night." he said in a flatline.
I sighed as I opened his bedroom and smiled, "No you are not sleeping there…"
"Yes, I am." I said as I closed the door and locked it, I dived in his bed and closed my eyes, and in a few minutes I finally fell asleep. I did not know what happened next to Alexander, is he sleeping outside? Maybe, or sleeping in another room. I am smiling like I'm dreaming.
Am I dreaming?
I awoke grumbling, checked the clock, and it was 4 a.m. I felt like I needed to pee, and I was hungry. When I exited the room, I noticed Alexander soundly sleeping on the sofa, and I wondered why he was sleeping there when there was another room open for him.
I watch him breath while he is sleeping, I go straight to his kitchen and when I see an ice cream in the refrigerator, I grab it and eat it.
I moaned, it's so weird to eat ice cream at this hour.
Then I decide to eat all of that ice cream and after that I drink water, yeah I'm weird.
"So you've already woken up? Why are you making such a noise in my house at 4 a.m.? Desiree, Really?"
"Yeah, I think the party in my house is over so I'm heading now…so thank you for letting me sleep here. But I don't need to be late for work, so see you when I see you…"
I took my purse with me and he just stared at me with his sleepy eyes, I waved him goodbye and he rolled his eyes and sighed. Probably he is not happy because I awoke him from his good dreams. "Sorry, I will make it up to you next time, but thank you." I said and closed the door behind my back, I ran to the elevator, the woman was looking at my pajamas.
"Hi, good morning."
"Yeah, good morning sweetheart."
I walked to the highway while waiting for a taxi driver to take me, then after that a car stopped in front of me, "get in!" Alexander opens the car window and unlock it so that I can get in immetedly. "Damn it, first you awoke me, and now you are treating me like your driver." he said while ranting, "Don't worry, I'm going to lay for your gasoline."
"No, I want your body," he said.
"What?"
"I want your body, Desiree, you know how I really want it but you are so stubborn, you are not giving it to me again."
I chuckles at him,
"It's so early in the morning and you are horny?"
He chuckles bitterly and glances at me, "Of course I am, every man in the world is horny every morning…"
I cover my mouth with my hand, "You don't need to say that. Gosh, drive fast please because I'm getting late."
"Stop!!" I yelled as he slammed on the brakes, seeing a kitten crossing the lane.
He thudded the break, and the gray-colored kitten glanced at me, his eyes despairing.
"What a pity," I exit the vehicle and take the kitten in my arms.
"Oh my gosh, what were you thinking when you took that kitten?"his eyes are shocked and it's like he is scared of a kitten. I look at him with sharp eyes to make him obey me because I really wanna help this kitten to save his or her life.
"Well, he or she is in need of assistance. So let's take a trip to the veterinarian."
"You are going to be late for work, it's 5:30 am now, you need to shower, put some makeup on and eat your breakfast. So what's more important?" he asked me, I sighed and took a deep breath while slowly caressing the crying kitten in my arms.
"Can you just drive so that we can help this kitten, he looks hurt too. Please, Drive, I will pay you soon."
"You know, Desiree. I don't need money."
"Yes, I know what you want." I said and leaned at him to give him a kiss on his lips quickly and he smiled at me, "I like that."
"So drive now…as fast as you can."
"Hmm," he mumbled.
When we arrived at the veterinary, the vet doctor just arrived and saw us in the entrance, "oh good morning love birds." he said, "what can I do for you?"
I blushed, "This kitten was hurt, can you check on her or him?"
He takes the kitten on his arm and opens the door wide so that we can get in, "I think I'm going to check him today, anyway is this your kitten?"
"So it's a boy? Uh, sorry, he is not my cat." I said and smiled at him, "well, you can come back and get him this afternoon, I'm going to check up on him today. Is it okay?" The vet said he is so friendly with the cat, yeah of course that's why he is a veterinarian.
"What time is it in the afternoon?" Alexander ask the vet, "I think…'' The vet paused for a moment and looked at the clock on the wall, "5 pm." he said.
"Alright, Desiree…let's go." he said and pulled my hand., "Thank you doc." I expressed my gratitude to the vet before we left.
"Do you think you are going to adopt him?"
"Well, why not? He is better than any human being in the world. I need a cat and I will be a single mom cat soon." I said while laughing,
"What the-" I heard him say that and click his tongue, he is really thinking now my real attitude is that I'm so weird.
