Chapter 202 I Know Leechcraft and Proposed Examination

Chapter 202 I Know Leechcraft and Proposed Examination
In the end, the program team had to call an ambulance.
A black mark was left on the chief director's buttocks. He was scared like hell, and so were the staff members.
Since the show was not live yet, no medical personnel had been hired. The assistant director called off the filming and had the chief director sent to the hospital.
By the time the program staff told the three guests about the suspension of the filming, the scene outside was chaotic.
The three intend to go out and help.
As soon as Moses went out, he spotted Ebony in the corner. She watched blankly as people came and went.
It was the first time Moses had seen his aunt so panicky.
He was instantly overcome with concern.
Justin and Sarina also saw it.
The three hastened to Ebony's side.
Biting her lip, Ebony was silently looking down at the tips of her shoes.
Distressed, Moses leaned over and reached out to stroke her hair.
Justin stopped him.
Justin glanced at Moses. Perhaps in his mind, it was impolite for a man to get his hands on a girl.
He swung off Moses' hand, turned to Ebony, and asked, "Do you want to sit down for a rest?"
Ebony looked up at the three people, pursed her lips, and mumbled, "It was not my intention..."
Moses felt sorry for her and said in a hurry, "I know. You didn't mean it."
Sarina, who hated Ebony so much, didn't add insult to injury at the sight of her sad face.
Moses said in distress, "Fear not. No matter what happens, I'll take care of it!"
Justin and Sarina looked at him at the same time.
Ebony also looked over in a flash.
She sniffed pitifully, blinked her eyes, and asked, "Really? Would you help me pay for the damage?"
Moses was dumbfounded.
And so were Justin and Sarina.
On the brink of crying, Ebony reached out a finger, pointed to the collapsed site, and wailed, "It would cost a lot of money, and would they ask me to pay for the chief director's medical bills?"
"You know what? They sent the chief director to a private hospital! A private hospital! Medical insurance cannot be used there! I know leechcraft and proposed to check on him. I can treat scars from burns, but the chief director refused. When I tried to take off his pants, he knocked off my hands and yelled at me... I had no ill intentions."
The three listeners didn't know what to say.
Just then, Rita rushed over.
At the sight of them, she asked with trepidation, "What happened? I was putting on makeup when I heard the ghost king got hit and Hell was torn down. Was King Kang here?"
Ebony lost his tongue.
And so did the others.
Not the right time to crack a joke.
Moses wiped his face and said helplessly, "It's chaotic here. Let's go somewhere else."
The five then left for the hotel arranged by the program team.
The show would officially go live in three days.
As soon as Ebony arrived at the hotel, she started to worry the program team would demand compensation for the damage.
She did the math. The props and the medical expenses could cost her tens of thousands of dollars.
Tens of thousands of dollars! Even if she was on sale, she would not be worth that much.
Ebony spent the next few days on tenterhooks.
She didn't receive any calls from the program team, but Lloyd called her.
Ebony answered the phone and put it to her ear before a gunshot came from the other end.
Ebony froze.
She immediately sat up from the king-size bed and asked, "Lloyd?"
No one was talking. Only noises could be heard.
Ebony's heart was instantly in her throat.

After a while, the noises quieted down, and the calm voice of Lloyd came over. "Yeah."
Ebony was relieved.
She frowned and asked, "Where are you? What was that noise?"
After a moment of silence, the man at the other end of the phone replied, "I'm shooting a film, and the noise came from the site."
Filming?
Ebony fell silent.
The man added, "I just want to tell you that my phone is back on the grid. Feel free to call me anytime."
His phone was back on the grid?
In other words, there had been no signals.
Ebony didn't dare to ask Lloyd about it because she hadn't called him.
Instead, she replied, "Yeah, sure."
Boom, boom. There came another two loud sounds.
They sounded more like explosions than gunshots.
Then someone shouted, "Capitan Nightingale, over there..."
Lloyd shushed and then said to Ebony in a deep voice, "It's my turn, and I have to go. Call me."
He then hung up the phone.
Ebony frowned, looked at her phone, and muttered, "Is he really shooting a film?"
At the same time, in the ward of a private hospital, the assistant director had just gone through the discharging process. She entered the ward and saw the chief director on the phone.
After finishing the phone call, the chief director said, "Lloyd's agent just called me and apologized because Lloyd went abroad for an emergency and could not come to the show. He promised to wire the compensation soon."
The assistant director sighed and said, "Forget it, we didn't expect him to accept our invitation anyway. Although Lloyd will be absent, Justin will do the work."
The chief director made no comments and just asked, "Has the trailer been released?"
The assistant director replied, "Yeah, Rita made up for the filming on the following day, and Lorena came on the same day. We worked overtime to edit the trailer and had it released this morning. We've allocated a budget for advertising. When it goes live tomorrow, it will be a hit."
The chief director nodded and said, "Good, let's go."
He tried to sit up from bed but felt a burning pain in his butt.
He had to lie down on his side. With mixed feelings, he touched his bandaged hip, pointed mournfully to the wheelchair across from the bed, and said, "Push it over."
On the third day, when Ebony went on the show, she saw the chief director sitting in a wheelchair. Shorter than she was now, he was glaring at her aggressively and fiercely.
Stung by her conscience, Ebony didn't dare to talk to him.
The chief director snorted and said through the speaker, "Blindfold her! Let's go!"
The filming site was somewhere else.
Ebony was blindfolded and taken to a car.
It was a half-an-hour drive.
After the car stopped, a staff member came over, helped Ebony get off, and led her to walk ahead.
When they stopped at a certain spot, the staff member whispered in Ebony's ear, "Remove the blinder in ten seconds and enjoy your first reincarnation."
With that, the staff member walked away.
Ebony waited patiently.
Ten seconds later, she removed the blindfold, only to find herself in a school.
The campus was small and a bit shabby. Boys and girls in school uniforms were seen on the playground. They were laughing and playing.
Unsure of the situation, Ebony didn't move.
All of a sudden, someone gave her a pat on the back.
She turned around and saw a girl with freckles on her face.
The girl grinned and said, "Ebony, why are you standing here? Come on, the captain of the basketball team you like is over there. Let's go and cheer for him."
The captain of the basketball team?
She liked?
What the hell?
