Chapter 170 Jealousy
Ebony was pulled back by two staff members to the camp, one on the left and one on the right, to prevent her from escaping.
As soon as she got out of the car, she met the chief director.
The chief director was going crazy. When he saw Ebony, he gave Ebony a good scolding!
Ebony was so scolded that she couldn't open her eyes. She shrank her neck, buried her head, and stared at the tips of her shoes honestly, not daring to let out a breath.
In the end, another director couldn't stand it anymore, so he came over and said, "The morning practice is almost over there, let her go back to assemble first."
The chief director then let Ebony go.
Ebony ran away as soon as she was freed!
The training in the morning had no difference from the previous one.
When it was time to have lunch, Ebony held a new pot of yam soup and sneaked into the back wall.
When Ebony reached the back wall, she found that there was no one there. Ebony was so happy.
When she was about to climb out on the rocks, she was startled by someone. She turned her head and found that it was Ethan.
Ethan was walking with Joseph, and Ethan had pressed half of his body against Joseph as if he was kidnapping Joseph.
Ebony was afraid that Ethan's noise would attract the staff over, so she quickly hid in the shadow of the tree next to her, and gestured frantically for Ethan to shut up and stop talking!
Ethan didn't understand what she meant and thought that Ebony was asking him where he was going, so he said, "Joseph is on duty today to water the small flower garden. I will go with him."
Ebony gestured to Ethan again and signaled for him to get out of here and not stay here and expose her!
Ethan understood this time, gave her the signal that he got it, and was about to leave.
Thinking of something again, he suddenly turned around and asked, "Miss Gibson, Mr. Vasquez has been discharged from the hospital so soon. Is he all right?"
Ebony was taken aback for a moment.
She slowly stood up behind the shadow of the tree, holding the thermos, and looked at Ethan with a bewildered expression, "Has... has Lloyd been discharged from the hospital?"
Ten minutes later, in the instructor's office.
Ebony was shocked when she found that Lloyd was actually there.
There were other people in the instructor's room, including the cameraman and two assistant instructors.
Seeing Ebony coming over, the people in the room looked at her at the same time.
Ebony stood at the door and didn't enter, just hugging the thermos more tightly in her arms. She looked at Lloyd and blinked.
At this moment, Lloyd closed the document in his hand, and said in a low voice, "Well, the military exercise is scheduled for the day after tomorrow. That's all."
The two assistant instructors got up and left one after the other.
When they were all gone, Lloyd said, "Come in."
Ebony hurriedly ran in. She put the thermos on the table, looked at Lloyd, and asked, "Why are you discharged from the hospital? Is it okay to leave the hospital so soon?"
Lloyd smiled and said, "The doctor said yes."
Ebony frowned, and said, "Give me your hand."
Lloyd stretched out his right hand patiently.
Ebony took Lloyd's pulse for a while, and seeing that he was in good condition, she said, "You're recovering quite quickly."
Lloyd didn't say anything. Ebony sat opposite Lloyd, opened the thermos in her arms, and handed it to him, "Drink the soup first. Though you are discharged from the hospital, it is necessary to drink the soup. Drinking it is good for your health."
Lloyd glanced at the soup in front of him, which was also yam soup.
He didn't say anything, just scooped a spoonful of the soup and put it in his mouth.
Ebony asked eagerly, "Does it taste good?"
Lloyd said calmly, "Just so so."
Ebony's mouth puckered as she asked, "I don't do it well?"
Lloyd kept silent for a while.
He looked at her hesitantly, "You make it by yourself?"
Ebony said, "Yeah, the cafeteria staff was too busy at noon and didn't have time to help me, so I borrowed a boiler and ingredients and cooked it myself. Does it taste bad?"
Lloyd fell into silence.
Ebony was in a bad mood. She mumbled sullenly, "Don't drink it if it doesn't taste good. Give it to me."
After speaking, she stretched out her hand to pick it up.
Lloyd avoided her hand and hurriedly said, "It's delicious."
Ebony looked at him resentfully, feeling that he was comforting her, and said, "Don't force yourself if it's not good. I'll let the cafeteria staffie make the soup next time..."
Lloyd fell into silence again.
Finally, Lloyd drank all of the soup.
Ebony turned into a better mood.
The cameraman faithfully recorded all this.
After Ebony put away the thermos, she suddenly said to the cameraman, "Stop photographing him. Let him rest for a while. Let's go."
The cameraman was a little hesitant but thought that Lloyd had just been discharged from the hospital, and he really should have a break at noon, so he got up and left with Ebony.
The two went downstairs together, and when they reached the entrance of the stairs, Ebony suddenly said she wanted to go to the bathroom.
The cameraman didn't suspect her, so he left first.
However, as soon as the cameraman left, Ebony came out of the bathroom immediately. She quickly ran back to Lloyd's office and locked the door.
At the same time, on the other side of the city.
Max held the remote control in his hand and pressed pause. The video stopped playing.
On the screen was a recording of the Survival Game.
A vigorous girl, wearing a camouflage vest, used a sniper rifle to shoot the brown-skinned man not far away.
The man's gray eyes narrowed tightly.
If the fighting skills were similar, it could barely be regarded as a coincidence.
However, her gesture, the shooting angle, and even the position of the ambush were exactly the same.
It seemed not to be a coincidence.
Throwing the remote control aside, Max frowned.
He took a cigarette out of the cigarette case, put it in his mouth, and lit it.
The smell of nicotine hit him. He let out a breath, and the smoke filled the room.
With his slender fingers, he stroked the pictures of the girl in the document and said softly, "Ebony..."
After a long while, he flicked the ashes from his cigar and chuckled, "Indeed, it's kind of interesting."
On the other side, in the instructor's office.
After Ebony locked the door, she closed the window again. Then she walked to Lloyd, looked at him with a smile, and said, "I knew you wanted me to drive the cameraman away when you winked at me! Am I clever?"
Lloyd glanced at her and said, "I didn't wink at you."
Ebony was stunned for a moment, then blinked, "Didn't you deliberately look at me several times?"
Lloyd sighed, looked at her face seriously, and said, "You've been looking at me, that's why I've been looking at you."
Ebony fell into silence.
She blinked and scratched her head, muttering, "So you didn't ask me here? Okay, I'll leave now."
Having said that, she was about to get up and leave.
Lloyd said at this moment, "Well, I do have one thing to say"
Ebony turned to look at him, "What's the matter?"
Lloyd suddenly got up at this moment and walked in front of Ebony. His expression became serious, "Do you know the man in the ward this morning?"
Ebony was stunned for a moment, blinked her eyes, and shook her head, "I don't know."
Lloyd squinted his eyes, "But you seem to know him well."
Ebony continued to shake her head, "I don't know him."
Lloyd frowned.
Ebony was afraid that she would be exposed if Lloyd asked again, and quickly said, "You mean I found a flaw in his style of fighting? I just thought he was good-looking and observed him for a while longer. I really didn't know him at all before. I didn't know him at all..."
Before Ebony finished speaking, she found that Lloyd on the opposite side turned pale and had fury in his eyes.
Ebony kept silent.
Ebony was startled and swallowed her saliva. She asked cautiously, "Llo... Lloyd…What's wrong with you?"
"You said he was good-looking?" The man slowly spat out these words from his thin lips coldly.
He stared into the girl's flustered eyes and lifted his foot slightly, approaching her.
"Good-looking?"
Ebony was too nervous to speak.
