Chapter 114 Don't You Have A Thing For Him

Chapter 114 Don't You Have A Thing For Him
Although he just slightly said the word "honey", all people who were present had heard it.
Some people chuckled and even burst into laughter.
Everyone knew them being as a couple is just their roles in the movie, but it still sounded ambiguous.
Director Knapp also laughed.
Only Ebony got angry.
She got up from Lloyd's lap and yelled at him, "You were kidding? You said my dancing was not good twice! You think that was a joke? You look down on me!"
Other people didn't laugh anymore. Seeing Ebony had really gone mad, they quickly dropped their lunch boxes and ran over to dissuade her.
Director Knapp rubbed his aching forehead and said helplessly, "Act your age! Finish your food and we've got work to do later!"
Ebony looked at director Knapp in dissatisfaction, saying, "You are always on Lloyd's side!"
Director Knapp had no option but to say to Lloyd, "Lloyd, you should not have poked fun at Ebony. Go apologize to her."
Lloyd calmly turned his eyes to look at Ebony, and said softly, "Sorry."
Ebony snorted, "I don't accept it!"
Lloyd said, "Then how about I treat you for dinner tonight?"
Ebony put down her hands, saying, "Well, I'll be not generous if I refuse you. So yeah, I forgive you. Where do we eat tonight? Can I order anything I want?"
The rest people didn't say anything anymore.
The scenes they shot in the afternoon were about the life after Harriet and Tulip got married.
There were intimate scenes, but they weren't intense.
While Tulip was cooking, Harriet hugged her from behind, and then she turned around and kissed him.
It was a very normal scene of a couple making out.
But when they shot, it didn't go well.
They didn't look like a couple.
After shooting, director Knapp called Lloyd and Ebony over, asking them to watch the clip.
In the clip, Ebony was wearing an apron with a light-colored home clothes inside.
While she was chopping vegetables, Lloyd came from behind, put his arms around her waist, and pressed his chin onto her shoulder with a smile. Ebony's cheeks were a little red.
The setting at the time was when they had just married.
Ebony picked up a sliced cucumber and fed it to Lloyd's mouth.
As he ate it, his lips touched her finger.
She curled her fingers, lowered her head, and continued chopping.
At the moment, the man turned over her face and kissed her lips with a low smile.
Then they snuggled up for a while.
Like every newlywed couple, they would seize every opportunity to make out.
After a while, the water on the pot boiled.
Ebony heard the sound, took a breath, pushed Lloyd away, and walked out of the camera.
During the time that they watched the clip, director Knapp had been smoking, and his brows never relaxed.
He said, "Too fake."
Lloyd and Ebony both didn't say anything.
Director Knapp said to Lloyd, "At this stage, you have a certain feeling for her, but it's not like you are fond of her."
"You have been tortured by Elsie May for ten years, and you have been in fear during the time. You killed a person, which made you a murderer, and Elsie is your accomplice. You are not the kind of person who can walk in the sun."
"Elsie faked his death and hid himself, and for the past ten years, things have not been easy for you either. Especially in the early years, you have been watched by the police. Although things have taken a turn for the better recently, you are no longer a normal person."
"You want to forget the past and start over. Marrying Tulip is your new beginning."

"You need a safe haven, which means you need a wife who can treat you gently and tolerate you. Even though you don't love Tulip, you long for the beauty of a normal life."
Director Knapp explained the character's mentality to Lloyd again.
Lloyd nodded, "I know."
Director Knapp took a drag on the cigarette, and then he continued, "If you know it, then just act it out! You didn't act out the feeling I want."
Lloyd didn't say anything.
Then director Knapp said to Ebony, "Your problem is bigger. You are not Tulip at all."
Ebony frowned saying, "I acted according to the script."
"But it doesn't feel right. What I see is Ebony playing the role of Tulip, not the real Tulip. I want a real Tulip."
Ebony fell silent.
Director Knapp took another drag on his cigarette, and then he suddenly asked, "Have you ever liked anyone?"
Ebony was stunned for a moment. She hesitated for a second, and then nodded saying, "Yes."
Lloyd immediately looked at her.
Director Knapp asked, "Who?"
Ebony said, "My father."
Director Knapp was speechless.
Director Knapp took a deep breath and continued, "Who else? Apart from your father."
Ebony said, "My grandpa and my grandma."
The veins on director Knapp's forehead were about to burst out. He said, "Anyone else? Apart from them."
Ebony thought for a while and replied, "I have two sons, and they are two white-furred monkeys."
Director Knapp yelled, "Ebony Gibson!!"
Ebony was taken aback, hiding behind Lloyd.
Director Knapp was about to lose it. He asked, "Have you never liked any boy in your life? No crush on anyone?"
Ebony looked at director Knapp in fear, shaking her head cautiously.
Director Knapp pointed to Lloyd in front of her, saying, "What about him? He is handsome and rich. Don't you have a thing for him?"
Ebony looked at Lloyd.
Lloyd was also looking at her.
Ebony was shocked, "Are you kidding? How could I possibly like him? We are like brothers who share weal and woe. Wouldn't it be incest if I liked him?
Lloyd and Director Knapp were both speechless.
She really gave director Knapp a headache.
He put the cigarette in the ashtray and said firmly, "You have to like him, like the way Tulip likes Harriet, and then put your feeling you have for him into your acting."
Ebony was a little dissatisfied. She said, "Well, that sounds like an imposition."
Director Knapp didn't answer her protest.
He said to Lloyd, "It's not difficult to make her fall in love with you in a short time, right?"
Lloyd took a deep look at director Knapp, and replied matter-of-factly, "It's difficult."
Director Knapp was speechless.
Lloyd added, "It's very difficult."
Ebony laughed. She put her hand on Lloyd's shoulder and shook her leg saying proudly, "See? I said so. He won't like me either."
Director Knapp said, "Shut up."
Then he said to Lloyd, "She is your partner, and I can only count on you to help her stay in character. We will have to approach it in a clumsy way if we don't have other options."
Ebony curiously asked, "What is a clumsy way?"
Director Knapp glanced at her, saying, "To create chemistry, you two need to continue getting along like a couple after work. In short, I want to see the true feeling in your acting!"
The plays supposed to be filmed in the afternoon were changed to some other plays.
Director Knapp gave Lloyd and Ebony a break, and said they would shoot it tomorrow.
After coming out of the filming crew, Ebony hesitated for a moment, and said to Lloyd, "Shall we do what director Knapp told us to do?"
Lloyd lightly said, "I am OK."
Ebony nodded and said, "I am OK, too."
Then she took the initiative to hold Lloyd's hand.
After tightly clasping his fingers, she said seriously, "I will try hard to like you!"
