Chapter 155 Brothers Can Turn Into A Couple

Chapter 155 Brothers Can Turn Into A Couple
With a click, Dolores hung up the phone.
A busy tone of "beep" sounded from the other end of the phone.
Ebony looked at Lloyd innocently, blinking.
Lloyd didn't say anything, just put the phone outside.
Then he came in again, rolled up his sleeves, and started washing the vegetables.
The kitchen of the apartment was small, so it was quite crowded for them to stand together.
When Ebony finished chopping vegetables and wanted to turn around to take a plate, she bumped into Lloyd.
Her arm was next to Lloyd's.
Lloyd turned to look at her.
Ebony pointed to the plate, saying to him, "Pass me the plate."
In a short while, Ebony came over again.
Seeing he was tied up, Ebony walked past him to for chopsticks.
Lloyd was pretty tall, so he stood in her way.
Ebony had to lean forward, stretching out her arm straight and pressing against Lloyd's body so that she could reach the chopsticks holder.
Lloyd got up a little, and Ebony subconsciously wanted to retreat to the side to avoid him.
With a little force, the man used one slightly wet hand to support her slender waist, and handed over the chopsticks to her with his another hand.
Ebony lowered her head looking at his hand on her waist, saying, "Don't touch me! My clothes are getting wet."
Lloyd chuckled and passed the chopsticks forward.
Ebony took the chopsticks, and turned around to stir the ingredients in the bowl.
And then Lloyd started to beat eggs.
Suddenly, a "snap" sounded.
Ebony turned to look, seeing the eggs were all broken and the eggshells fell into the bowl.
Both of them were speechless.
Ebony was a bit unhappy. She said, "Didn't you say you knew how to beat eggs?"
Lloyd quietly turned around, wanting to pour away them.
He explained, "That was an accident."
Ebony immediately stopped him. She frowned and said, "Don't waste food."
While speaking, she picked out the eggshells with the chopsticks and stirred the eggs skillfully by herself.
Lloyd stretched out his hands, wanting to take the bowl from her.
She dodged and said, "You'd better sit outside. You are too clumsy."
Lloyd didn't say anything. He reached out his hands and suddenly wrapped Ebony's small hands.
Ebony was puzzled.
Lloyd lowered his eyes, naturally taking the bowl and chopsticks from her.
He mimicked what she did, beating the eggs and stirring them. He asked, "Is it right?"
Ebony puffed out her cheeks, put down her hands, and rubbed the back of her hands against her clothes. She reluctantly said, "Yeah."
In a while, Lloyd seemed to get the hang of it.
When Ebony was deveining shrimps, she told Lloyd to add some salt into the soup.
Lloyd did so.
After Ebony was done, she came over and tasted the soup.
She found that the soup was sweet.
Ebony didn't know what to say.
Looking at the salt jar and sugar jar on the side, she asked him with a complicated look, "Can't you distinguish salt and sugar?"
Lloyd was silent in embarrassment.
After an hour and a half, they had finally done with cooking. It was just a simple meal of three dishes and one soup.
Ebony put the dishes on the small round table. She took off her apron and said to Lloyd, "Thanks for your help. We weathered all the difficulties and finally got it done."
Lloyd was too embarrassed to say a word.
Ebony smiled and waved her hand, saying, "That's fine. I am not disappointed. I can tolerate your mistakes, but if you hadn't given me that phone, I'd twist off your head."
Lloyd still didn't say anything.
This was New Year's Eve dinner, so before Ebony started to eat, she posed for some photos.

She wanted to post a tweet on her new phone.
Ebony affectedly took a few photos. And then wrote a simple caption - "Happy New Year" , and then she posted the tweet.
Lloyd had been waiting for while on the side. He asked, "Are you done?"
Seeing it was sent through, she put the phone aside and said, "Done! Let's dig in."
While Ebony was joyfully having dinner, she didn't know she caused a sensation on the Internet.
At the same time, Dolores and her family were also having dinner, but suddenly, a call from the company came over.
"Dolores, we are having a situation!"
Dolores' face immediately turned serious. She asked, "What's going on?"
The person that called Dolores said, "Check out your Twitter. Ebony tweeted Happy New Year."
Dolores yelled, "Happy New Year? What's wrong with her? But wait, what's wrong with saying Happy New Year?"
The person couldn't explain clearly. He said, "Take a look at her tweet first!"
So Dolores opened Twitter and then immediately her eyes darkened.
Ebony did post "Happy New Year", but there was more to it.
Ebony's tweet was composed of a caption that went "Happy New Year", and two photos of the New Year's Eve dinner.
The origin of the tweet showed it was posted from "Lloyd Vasquez Anniversary 220s Mobile Phone"
Dolores was completely lost for words.
There was a prompt below every tweet showing the what device the user used to post the tweet.
For example, if a tweet was posted from a browser, then Twitter would show what browser it was below the tweet.
By the same token, if it was posted on a phone or a computer, it would show its brand.
Membership could change or turn it off, but Ebony didn't pay for membership. Therefore, her phone model was completely displayed on her tweet.
Dolores felt dizzy. She held the wall for support, took a deep breath, and began to read the comments below.
The tweet was posted fifteen minutes ago, and now it had been reposted ten thousand times and had forty thousand comments.
The first hot comment:
-- [As we all know, this phone model - 220s, is unique in the world. The publisher customized for Lloyd, yet he just started to use the phone three months ago and reposted an advertisement to endorse it.]
-- [OK, I know you are celebrating the New Year with Lloyd and you used his phone to tweet. Is there anything else you want to tell us? We are all ears.]
-- [Are you Lloyd & Ebony? Is this so-called brothers?]
-- [What's wrong with brothers? If they want, brothers can turn into a couple.]
Dolores was completely speechless.
Dolores didn't have time to think too much. She hurriedly contacted the company, telling them to do some work to divert the netizens' attention.
And then she immediately made a call to Ebony.
Ebony was having dinner. She answered the phone with chopsticks in her mouth.
Before she put the phone to her ear, she heard a roaring coming from the phone, "Look what you did!"
Ebony blinked, not knowing why Dolores was angry.
She asked carefully, "Did I do something wrong again?"
Dolores yelled, "What kind of tweet you posted? I told you not to use Twitter. Look what you did! Tell me what I am supposed to deal with it!"
Ebony did post a tweet, but she thought the tweet was OK.
What's wrong with saying "Happy New Year?"
She pouted, logged in Twitter and then suddenly realized the tweet had become a top search.
Ebony paused for a second, and clicked in her tweet.
She suddenly found out the words "Lloyd Vasquez Anniversary 220s Mobile Phone" right below her tweet. It was so conspicuous.
Ebony was startled. She didn't notice it before.
"Shoot!" Ebony blurted out, "Now all people in the world have known that I use Lloyd's second-hand phone. What should I do?"
