Chapter 164 I Like You
The heat preservation lunch box was filled with coke chicken wings.
Ebony walked over, looked at the lunch box, and then looked at Lloyd. She asked, "Where's Ms. Shockley?"
Lloyd didn't answer. He just reached out his hands and opened the lunch box.
Immediately, the instructor's office was filled with the aroma of the chicken wings!
Ebony swallowed her saliva, and drool almost flowed out of her mouth.
But she still didn't forget that she was a principled person. She seriously said, "Don't give me that! I will not be bought by the food!"
Five minutes later.
Ebony held a chicken wing in each hand. After finishing the meat, she chewed all the bones, and then spit the them into the trash can.
Lloyd took out a tissue, leaned over a little, and wiped the oil from the corners of her mouth. He said, "Eat slowly."
Ebony allowed Lloyd to wipe her mouth, but at the same time, she said loudly, "I'm a person of principles! I'm still angry now, and I haven't got it out my system yet!"
Then Ebony immediately took a big gulp of juice.
It was sweet and sour. Very delicious!
Ebony ate chicken wings and drank juice until the lunch box was half-empty, then she raised her head looking at Lloyd, and she asked, "Will there be any more tomorrow?"
Lloyd paused for a second, smiling. He said, "If you want, yes, there will be."
Ebony was very happy.
However, she suddenly realized she was supposed to be in anger. She felt like she shouldn't act so happy, so she asked in a weird tone, "Didn't you say you wouldn't keep them for me?"
"I did say so." At this time, Lloyd got up again.
He took out the dry towel from Ebony's washbasin, standing behind her. Then he pulled up her hair, wiping it with the towel, and said, "I'd be regretful if I did so."
Ebony turned back and asked, "Why would you be regretful?"
Lloyd looked into her eyes, saying, "I can't bear to disappoint you."
Ebony paused.
They both fell into silence.
Ebony frowned and looked at Lloyd's expression.
Lloyd also calmly looked at her.
Ebony turned her head back and continued to eat chicken wings.
After finishing the chicken wings and the juice, Ebony got up and went outside to wash her hands.
When she came back again, she picked up her washbasin and said, "I'm going back."
Lloyd said in a low voice, "Let me see you off."
Ebony's brows furrowed even tighter.
She stared at Lloyd up and down for a long time, and suddenly she said, "Lloyd, you are not yourself today."
Lloyd laughed and asked, "How so?"
Ebony said, "I just have the feeling you are abnormal. You sweet talk a lot, and your are so attentive. Do you..."
The smile in Lloyd's eyes deepened, his tone was slightly hoarse, and he asked in a low voice, "Do I what?"
Ebony suddenly shouted, "Do you still hide anything else from me?!"
Lloyd was speechless.
As soon as Ebony said it, she felt that there was indeed a possibility!
Ebony immediately blew her top, and she grabbed Lloyd's collar, threatening, "Oh no. Don't tell me my guess is right."
Lloyd still didn't know what to answer.
He just sighed, with deep exhaustion in his eyes.
Ebony urged him and said, "Come on! What are you hiding from me? Say it!"
At this moment, Lloyd suddenly stretched out his hand holding Ebony's small hand which was grabbing his collar. His warm palm wrapped her little fist completely.
After a long silence, he said slowly, "Indeed, there is one more thing I didn't tell you."
Ebony narrowed her eyes, saying, "What is it?"
Lloyd said, "I..."
"Mr. Vasquez?" Outside the office door, Ms. Shockley stood there, dumbfounded. She held a bunch of keys, puzzlingly looking at the two people in the room.
Because of the appearance of Ms. Shockley, Lloyd and Ebony in the room were stunned for a moment.
After all, Ebony was still someone who knew the rules. With the leader's presence, she let go of her hand, stood aside, lowered her head, and pretended to be obedient.
Ms. Shockley was a little confused. She was on duty today, and she was patrolling door to door to check whether the doors of each office were locked. When she checked her own office, she found that there were people inside.
How could there be people? Didn't she lock the door when she left?
Ms. Shockley scratched her head. She looked at Lloyd, then looked at Ebony, and finally she thought of the scene she saw just now.
A man and a woman clinged to each other, and Mr. Vasquez held Ebony's hand.
Ms. Shockley fell into silent. She hesitated for a while, and asked tentatively, "Are you guys on a date in my office?"
Both Lloyd and Ebony were silent in embarrassment.
Ebony was very awkward. She quickly waved her hand, explaining, "No, no, no. We were just busy with our own affair!"
Now it was Lloyd and Ms. Shockley's turn to feel awkward.
Ms. Shockley was so amazed. She stuttered, "Affair? What's the difference?"
Ebony pointed to the empty heat preservation lunch box on the table and said, "I mean the chicken wings! I was busy eating chicken wings!"
Ms. Shockley became even more puzzled. She asked, "Then why did you eat them in my office?"
Ebony also had no idea. She turned to look at Lloyd.
Lloyd explained, "My bad. I'm sorry."
Ms. Shockley looked at them suspiciously, and finally raised the key in her hand, saying, "I'm closing the door."
Ebony immediately held the washbasin and walked out.
Lloyd immediately chased after her.
Ms. Shockley looked at the their backs hurriedly leaving, she smacked her lips, and muttered, "They were definitely on a date. I could tell it at one glimpse!"
Outside the office building was the sportsground bustled with people. Some soldiers were running and exercising at night.
Lloyd walked to Ebony's side, and walked her to the female soldier's dormitory.
Ebony was so angry with Lloyd. She turned her head and glared at him, saying, "See? How embarrassing it was! You borrowed Ms. Shockley's office and asked me to come over, yet we didn't leave a chicken wing for her. I feel awkward for eating all of them."
Lloyd laughed and said, "I will apologize to her tomorrow."
Ebony frowned again. She asked, "You said there was one more thing you were hiding from me. Was it that you stole the key to Ms. Shockley's office?
Lloyd didn't answer her.
Ebony sighed. While walking forward, she advised, "Stealing is bad behavior, especially considering you are an instructor, a soldier now. Although you are not a real soldier, you should also obey the law and follow the regulations. Also, you were born into a military family, so don't do this again."
"No." Lloyd's voice of denial suddenly sounded.
Ebony was stunned and looked at him.
Lloyd suddenly stopped.
Ebony hesitated for a while, then stopped as well. She stood towards him face to face.
They stood on a trail outside the sportsground. There were shadowy tree shadows surrounding them, and behind them was a circular sportsground with twinkling night lights.
Accompanied by the sound of soldiers chanting slogans a few steps away, Lloyd stared at Ebony's dark but bright eyes under the hazy moonlight.
A gust of wind blew, and the light fragrance of the shower gel on her body drifted into his nose.
Lloyd pursed his lips, and then slowly said, "There is one more thing that I hide from you."
Ebony looked at Lloyd's deep eyes.
She couldn't help swallowing her saliva in her throat, and she answered vaguely, "What's that?"
Lloyd opened his mouth and said, "I like you."
