Chapter 136 Nonsense! Would Ebony Pick Up Garbage?
Ebony returned to the hotel.
She saw Janet sitting in her room with two boxes of lunch in front of her. Janet was holding her phone and wiping her tears with a tissue.
Ebony frowned instantly.
She went over and asked, "What happened to you? Anyone bullied you?"
"Boohoo." Janet sniffed.
She raised her phone and said, "No one bullied me. Ebony, I'm watching Fairy Island. It's too sad. Percy is so pitiful!"
The corner of Ebony's mouth twitched with shock.
She walked over and sat next to Janet. Ebony opened the lunch box. While eating, she said, "It's not very sad. I didn't think it was very sad when I was filming."
Janet pouted and said, "Percy's life is so miserable. I hope Sophia can heal him. Ebony, when will they become lovers?"
Ebony thought of the plots and said, "Maybe in the finale."
"Ding Ding." Ebony's phone rang again.
She took out her phone and saw that it was another message telling that she won the prize.
But it was not sent by the previous number but by another one.
"The scammers are getting more and more arrogant now." Ebony felt a bit angry.
Janet asked curiously, "What's wrong?"
Ebony showed her the message. "It says that I won the phone and computers, but I haven't taken part in any lucky draw. How can I win the prize?"
Janet was a bit contemptuous of the awards. "Only a phone and computers? The day before yesterday, I received a message that said I won a sea-view villa and asked me to fill in my ID number to verify my identity. And then I could get the property."
Ebony asked, "You didn't fill in your information, right?"
Janet said, "Of course. This old-fashioned kind of Internet fraud cannot defraud even my grandma."
"Ummmmmm."
Ebony blocked this message too. She said, "It's called winning trap. If you reply it, your personal information is leaked. And this is a better outcome. It's worse that the scammers will ask you to pay them the service charge and personal income tax to get the awards. Once they get the money, you cannot contact them anymore."
Janet said, "Yes. And there is also a kind of fund, investment and financial management. It says that it has a high rate of return and you can make investment online. After you log in, you find that it really has a high rate of return and your account earns money each day. But you cannot withdraw the money including the principal. It is just a number that attracts you to invest more money. And you will think you have earned a lot."
"Ummm, there's another kind..."
Ebony talked with Janet about some famous deceptions of Internet fraud.
In fact, they just took advantage of people's thought of getting pennies from heaven.
If one spent over 10 dollars in a supermarket, one could participate a lucky draw. And the little doll one won could also be used as a key pendant.
But the wealth out of nothing was definitely a scam.
Whoever believed it was a fool.
Ebony and Janet chatted while eating.
After the meal, Ebony took a bath and then went to bed early.
But at the same time, Darryl kept smoking and he had smoked three cigarettes.
Finally, his subordinate called him.
But his subordinate told him that another number was blocked too.
Darryl frowned so deeply. "It doesn't make sense. These things are given to her for free. Why did she refuse to take them?"
Jon sat on the sofa on the other side and said, "Why don't you just take them to her hotel? Sending her those messages is useless."
Darryl looked at his eldest brother. "If she asks why we give her these things, how to answer it?"
Jon said, "Tell her that they are given by the program team."
Darryl shook his head. "We should talk to the program team first, or otherwise she asks the program team and know the truth."
Jon said, "Well, just talk with the program team."
Darryl lit a cigarette. "Didn't you say that we should keep a low profile? If we talk with the program team, they will know it. And Ebony will know it sooner or later."
Jon tut-tutted. "Neither of them works."
Darryl's cigarette was half-smoked. He raised his head and said suddenly, "Or we ask Llo?"
Jon was silent.
He didn't want to contact Lloyd.
He had just been scolded by his father because of Lloyd's mistakes.
But Jon thought that among them Lloyd was the person who understood his youngest sister best.
At last, Darryl called Lloyd.
Lloyd was filming. He answered the call as the staff set the scenes.
He said lightly, "How to send the things to her without her being aware of it? And she will not be suspicious of them?"
Darryl said, "Yeah. Do you have any idea?"
Lloyd was silent for a while and then said, "Throw them in a dustbin. She will pick them up when she passes by."
Darryl didn't believe it. "How is it possible? Are you kidding me? Will Ebony pick up garbage?"
The next day, after told by his subordinate by phone, Darryl was dumbfounded.
His subordinate said, "We threw them in a publish dustbin on the first floor of the hotel. When Ebony saw them, she walked around the dustbin for ten minutes. She saw no one came to pick them up and asked the receptionist. The receptionist told her that the computers and phone acted up and had been discarded by a guest. Then Ebony immediately picked them up with a clean conscience."
Darryl was speechless.
He had not expected that his sister would pick up garbage!
Darryl was about to burst into tears.
He sighed and said tiredly, "It doesn't matter. At least she got the things. So be it."
The subordinate said, "Yeah, she got them. But after she repaired them, she sold them to a second-hand shop."
Darryl was so speechless.
He took a deep breath. "... The things she picked up are unsanitary. It's fine to sell them. Did she buy a new computer and phone by using the money?"
The subordinate said, "No, after she sold them and got the money, she saved the money."
Darryl was at a loss for words.
"But..." the subordinate said.
Darryl hurriedly asked, "But what?"
The subordinate said, "But now she stars to stay with the dustbin in her spare time. In the afternoon, she had a meal in the training room. Then she even went back to hotel and stood by the dustbin for more than half an hour before she left."
Darry felt so speechless.
He felt very tired and rubbed his temples.
Darryl relaxed for a long time.
Then he said weakly, "Book a plane ticket for me."
Ebony earned more than 1,500 dollars for nothing today. She was in a good mood.
When she taught five eliminated trainees in the training room, she was rarely amiable, which terrified them.
Today's training was the last one before the third public performance.
The rehearsal would begin in the evening.
Before the rehearsal, Ebony met Belinda backstage.
Belinda was fixing Crystal's hair. When she saw Ebony coming over, she glaced at Ebony.
Ebony ignored her and planned to go to the other side with her team.
But Belinda suddenly called her. "Miss Gibson."
After Belinda called Ebony, the noise offstage suddenly died away.
Everyone looked at them unconsciously.
Ebony put her hands in her pockets and turned around to stared at Belinda. Ebony raised her eyebrows.
Belinda smiled. "I think there have been too many misunderstandings between us."
Ebony snorted lazily. "Really?"
"Yes."
Belinda smiled again. "I hope that we can clear up the misunderstandings between us. But maybe there will not be such an opportunity, because you will leave this stage forever after tomorrow."
