Chapter 150 Kill His Apprentice
During the meal, Ebony found Lloyd a little absent-minded.
She asked in confusion, "What's wrong? Isn't it delicious?"
Lloyd glanced at her, took some bamboo shoots with his chopsticks, and put them into her bowl. He then said in a low voice, "Nothing."
Looking at the dried bamboo shoots in her bowl, Ebony put them aside quietly with her chopsticks.
And then, she took a piece of braised pork in brown sauce and took a gulp of it.
Lloyd put down his chopsticks and said helplessly, "Have some vegetables."
Ebony didn't say a word but still took meat instead.
After that, Ebony drank a bowl of soup and ate more than half of the fruits on the fruit plate before she was completely full.
She leaned back in the chair and touched her belly. And then she thought of something and suddenly asked Lloyd, "Why didn't you eat at that restaurant? I think the environment there is very nice."
Lloyd paused and said casually, "We'll go there next time."
Ebony murmured, "When is it? You'll go tomorrow."
Lloyd looked at her, "You don't want me to go?"
Ebony blurted out, "Of course not. You are the best canteen auntie!"
Lloyd was surprised.
Ebony thought about it and said, "Canteen uncle?"
Lloyd was speechless.
Ebony racked her brains, "Canteen..."
"Alright."
Lloyd interrupted her and sighed. He then stood up and said, "Let's go."
Ebony knew she had said something wrong again and pissed him off, so she quickly got up and went downstairs with him.
While in the car, Lloyd's cell phone rang again.
It was Ivan.
The space in the car was small and what Ivan was speaking on the phone could be easily heard.
Ivan said loudly and asked when the phone was answered, "What's wrong with you, Lloyd? You told me you would stay in Shae City for one day only to visit Ebony and drop by Mr. Field. But why did you suddenly delay the schedule?"
Ebony was thinking, 'Delayed the schedule?'
She was stunned for a moment and then looked up at Lloyd.
Lloyd put the phone to his ear and said, "Something has come up."
Ivan asked, "What is it?"
Lloyd did not answer him.
Having been waiting for no answer for a long time, Ivan could only sigh and ask, "How long will you delay? The interview and the endorsement shooting are already scheduled."
Lloyd was silent for a while and then said, "A week."
"A week?!" Ivan burst with anger, "No way. Two days at most."
"A week," Lloyd interrupted him coldly. After saying that, he directly hung up without caring about Ivan's protest.
There was complete silence in the car.
Ebony looked at Lloyd carefully and asked incredulously: "Are you really going to stay here for a week?"
Lloyd glanced at her, "Don't want me to go?"
Ebony scratched her face and muttered, "...Yes. Will you treat me every day?"
Lloyd was speechless.
He glared at Ebony, "No!"
Ebony didn't say anything.
She was very disappointed and pouted.
However, she wasn't really unhappy. It must be because Lloyd had something important to deal with, therefore, he changed his schedule temporarily. It was normal that he had no time to treat her.
The car reached the TV station.
After getting off the car, Ebony went upstairs to continue working.
When finishing her job, Ebony returned to the hotel room in the evening. After taking a shower, she was sitting on the bed and ruminated. She was still worried.
So she took out her cell phone and suddenly started searching for the local news on it.
There had been no shooting or murder cases here from noon to evening today.
Ebony frowned. She didn't know Max at this time in her previous life.
She didn't know why Max came to Crocan at this time.
She then read some news on her cell phone. When her cell phone was slow to respond, Ebony immediately stopped.
She had been familiar with what she should do next. After restarting and cleaning up the memory, the phone finally survived tenaciously.
Ebony sighed, "Anyway, it's unlikely to have any contact with him in this present life. I might as well mind my own business."
After muttering it, she seemed to have convinced herself, so she charged her phone and lay down to sleep.
The next day, Ebony got up on time.
When she was going to the TV station after breakfast, she saw Llyod in the elevator in the hotel.
Ebony knew that Lloyd lived on the floor above her. She stepped in and greeted him, "What a coincidence!"
Lloyd glanced at her and said, "Your hair."
Ebony looked at herself in the mirror in the elevator and found that her hair was messy.
She fixed it casually but noticed that Lloyd pressed the button to basement level 1.
The parking garage was on basement level 1. Ebony paused for a moment and leaned over to bump into Lloyd's shoulder. She then asked in an ingratiating manner, "Where are you going? Are you going there by car? Will you pass by the TV station? Could you..."
"Give you a ride?" Lloyd raised his eyebrows and looked at her.
Ebony immediately responded, "Okay. You've promised me! Don't try to break it!"
Lloyd didn't know what to say.
Lloyd helplessly raised his hand and helped Ebony carefully comb the hair that she didn't fix.
After a long while, he said softly, "Okay, I'll give you a ride."
Ebony was very happy when hearing it, and soon, the elevator reached basement level 1.
As soon as Ebony went out of the elevator, she was about to look for Lloyd's car.
But at that moment, a raging wind suddenly came from behind her.
Ebony turned around out of conditioned reflex.
But the next second, her arm was suddenly held.
And then, she was held in a somewhat familiar embrace.
It was Lloyd embracing her.
Ebony didn't have time to think about it. She turned around and saw there appeared a dagger that should have stabbed at her in the position where she had been standing just now.
"Fu*k!"
She cursed and immediately narrowed her black eyes.
She broke away from Lloyd's hand and blocked him with her backhand. Looking at the man in front of her who was wearing a black hood with a dagger in his hand, Ebony rushed over and kicked him off.
The man was quite experienced in fighting and subconsciously raised his hand to defend.
At the same time, the dagger was changed to another direction to stab at Ebony's waist!
Ebony hit the man's neck with her hand as if it was a knife!
At the moment when half of his body was numb and fell off due to Ebony's great strength, she grabbed his dagger and punched him in his face!
The man probably didn't expect her to act so fast and fiercely.
Having been punched in the face, the man was about to step backward.
But he didn't have the chance. Ebony stabbed him in the shoulder!
Ebony tore off the man's hood when he was in pain.
Under the hood, it was a very mediocre man's face with a mark of a fist in the middle of the bridge of his nose. His nose was bleeding. And all of this was because Ebony had punched him just now.
The man's expression was frozen for a moment when his face was seen, and he turned around to run away.
But how could Ebony let him go?
She kicked him in the back of his head and then hit his temple with her elbow when he was in pain.
The man's two important acupoints were badly hit continuously, and then he vomited some blood, knelt on the ground, and looked at Ebony in shock.
At this time, Ebony grabbed the man's collar but she accidentally saw the tattoo on his chest.
She was stunned for a moment.
Lloyd, who was standing a short distance away, also saw the tattoo.
All of a sudden, his pupils shrank.
Ebony flew into a rage and said, "Fu*k, it's Bloody Ferocious."
While she was speaking, she grabbed the man's hair and punched him in the head.
She hit him rather forcefully this time and the man couldn't say a word at all. His eyes were blurred and he directly fainted.
"Bloody Ferocious" was a killer organization founded by Max.
Ebony never expected Max to ask somebody to kill her.
Just because Ebony recognized him and took a look at him at the door of the box yesterday?
Why didn't he disguise him before going out since he was a wanted criminal worldwide? He went everywhere without disguise but he blamed her for taking a look at him!
Moreover, he wanted to kill her due to it. He intended to kill his apprentice. Fu*king good!
Ebony was terribly angry and was gasping for breath.
As soon as she turned around, she met Lloyd's livid and icy face.
Ebony was stunned.
She quickly removed the hostility on her face and walked cautiously to Lloyd.
She comforted softly, "Don't be afraid. You must be frightened. It's alright. I'm here with you."
While she was speaking, she patted Lloyd's shoulder. She didn't pat him heavily in case she would scare him who was quite fragile.
Lloyd was speechless.
