Chapter 61 Lloyd Would Check I

Chapter 61 Lloyd Would Check It
Ebony had a mild headache. She stood up from the step and said helplessly, "I'll take you to Lloyd. Why did you mistake me for your relative?"
She stretched out her hand and said, "Hold my hand."
The little girl held her hand obediently.
Ebony held her hand in one hand and took a lunch box in another hand. They went out from the back door and took a route that was familiar to Ebony to Lloyd's lounge.
The door opened wide. Ebony entered it and found that there was no one inside.
Ebony couldn't trust the little girl to stay alone, so Ebony stayed together with her. Ebony sat on the sofa and asked, "Have you ever eaten?"
The little girl shook her head.
Ebony was a bit annoyed and said, "What's wrong with Lloyd?"
She reluctantly opened her lunch box and asked, "We share a box lunch? You can't eat a lot, right?"
The little girl laughed gaily, "Yeah, Virginia just eats a little."
The girl opened her mouth hard and ate the food in one bite.
She chewed the food hard and her cheeks puffed up.
Ebony also took a bite of food and asked her, "Don't you know your aunt's look?"
The little girl was chewing the food. She mumbled. "I have never met her."
Ebony raised her eyebrows. "Why?"
"My aunt is not at home." The little girl said. She swallowed the food and opened her mouth again. "Ah."
Ebony smiled and fed her a spoonful of food. The little girl cleverly ate it.
It was 10 minutes later since they finished eating, but Lloyd didn't come back yet.
Ebony was sleepy after she was full up. She slouched on the sofa.
The little girl sat properly at first with her legs closing together. When she saw Ebony, she followed suit. She also slouched on the sofa.
Ebony glanced at her and laughed. "Why are you so dull?"
The little girl immediately sat upright. She flushed with shyness.
Ebony was lying comfortably. Then she even put her legs on the tea table.
Even though the little girl saw Ebony, she didn't act like Ebony anymore. Instead she just crawled over silently and put her arms around Ebony's waist.
Ebony also hugged her and said, "You should not blindly mistake your relatives anymore, or you will be trafficked by the evil."
"Virginia didn't mistake you." The little girl put her chin on Ebony's chest. She seriously emphasized. "You're my aunt. Virginia finds you and Virginia is the best!"
Ebony tapped her forehead. "Dull and stupid."
The little girl pouted unhappily.
Ebony coaxed her. "Fine, fine. You're very smart."
The little girl looked at her and said, "Aunt, can you go back home with Virginia?"
Ebony was embarrassed. "Silly girl, I'm not your aunt."
The little girl stubbornly frowned. "You're my aunt. My grandma can confirm it."
The little girl raised her wrist to speed-dial someone on her watch phone.
She did it so fast that Ebony couldn't stop her.
A woman answered the call and asked softly, "Virginia?"
The little girl immediately said, "Auntie, it's Virginia."

The woman chuckled. "Why do you call grandma? She is in the hospital now and cannot talk to you. If you have any thing, you can tell me."
The little girl excitedly said, "Auntie, I have found my aunt!"
The woman was shocked.
Ebony covered her face and could not listen to that anymore. She said to the woman, "She is talking nonsense."
"No, I don't. She looks that same as in grandma's photo!" The little girl argued.
The woman was so startled. "Who... who are you?"
Ebony then realized that she was a stranger and stayed alone with the girl. Her family might tend to misunderstand Ebony. So Ebony simply explained the whole matter to the woman.
The woman sighed with relief. "I see. Thank you very much." Then she called Virginia. "Virginia."
"Auntie." Virginia replied.
"Just stay there. I will call Lloyd and tell him to come back..."
"Virginia?" Before the woman finished speaking, Lloyd suddenly appeared at the door.
When Ebony saw Lloyd, she picked up Virginia and thrust her into Lloyd's arms. Ebony said, "Look after her. I should leave."
Lloyd frowned. He looked at Ebony and asked, "What happened?"
Ebony waved her hand. "You left her here alone and she blindly ran around. Then I saw her and brought her there. You're back now and I should leave. Virginia, sister should leave now."
"Not sister. You're my aunt!" Virginia seriously corrected her.
Ebony shook her head helplessly and said to Lloyd, "She may suffer from cognitive impairment. Don't forget to take her to see a doctor."
Then Ebony left.
"Hey, aunt, aunt... Lloyd, my aunt left..." Virginia struggled in Lloyd's arms.
Lloyd hugged Virginia tightly and looked back. Ebony had already passed the corner.
He closed the door and stared at Virginia. "You ran out of the lounge?"
Virginia dare not speak anything. She stuck out the tip of her tongue in fear and raised her little hand. She changed the topic. "Lloyd, phone from my auntie."
Lloyd looked at Virginia for a moment and almost stared her to tears. Then he took the call. "Mrs. Gibson?"
Mrs. Gibson did not hang up yet. She sighed. "Lloyd, I'm so sorry. Something temporary happened to my family. So I had to trouble you to take care of Virginia. But William will pick her up soon."
Lloyd settled Virginia on the sofa and said, "It doesn't matter."
Mrs. Gibson asked, "Who is that girl..."
"A friend."
"Virginia called her aunt?"
"Yeah." Lloyd looked at Virginia's frustrated face and touched her hair. "She's mistaken."
Mrs. Gibson said with resignation, "My mom is old and has been in poor health in recent years. She often talks about my younger sister. Maybe Virginia often hears that so she also wants to find her aunt. Didn't it trouble your friend?"
"It's fine," Lloyd said indifferently.
Virginia dare not to speak anything for she did something wrong. But she whispered. "She's my aunt."
Lloyd glanced at the poor Virginia and talked to Mrs. Gibson for a while. Then he hung up. Lloyd sat face to face with Virginia and looked squarely at her eyes. "Do you really think that she is your aunt?"
Virginia nodded. "She's my aunt!"
Lloyd's face darkened. After a while, he frowned and said, "Well, I will check it."
