Chapter 67 Fight With the Wolves
Three ferocious brown-yellow maned wolves bared their teeth and faced the enemy in front of them vigilantly.
They were tall and thin.
They looked like demiwolves and foxes. But they didn't look like
the wolves that most people knew.
They howled heavily to indicate their deterrent to the enemy.
"What should we do? What should we do now?"Lorena grabbed the arm of the man in front of her in a panic. Her sharp long nails almost scratched his arm.
The man was tall in a camouflage. He frowned but the nature of a soldier told him that he shouldn't hit a woman. But the woman behind him was too noisy and he really wanted to throw her out.
The man said with a dark face, "Go to the back."
After that, he said to another man on the other side, "Mr. Vasquezgo, go to the back, too. You've got separated from your teammates. I'll protect you for the time being."
Lloyd's eyes were cold and he behaved quite composedly. He stared at the three tall and thin wolves in front of him, curling up his thin lips slightly. He then said without raising his head, "No."
"Don't pretend to be brave. Come here right now...Watch out!"
The male soldier was startled and immediately rushed to help Lloyd. But he couldn't move.
Lorena held his waist and shouted, "You can't go. You must protect me! You can't leave me!"
"Let me go. He is in danger!" the soldier pushed away Lorena's hand heavily but she suddenly knelt down and held his leg.
"Do you know who I am! If I get hurt, my dad will make things very difficult for you!"
"Hey!" the soldier really got irritated.
He lifted Lorena's coat trying to throw her away.
But at this moment, the other two maned wolves pounced on him. His leg was held and he couldn't dodge at all. As a result, his right hand and left leg were instantly bitten by the two wolves!
"Ah!" he cried out in pain.
Lorena turned pale with fright when seeing it. She then immediately loosened her grip.
His legs were finally free but the soldier's hand and leg had already been torn apart by the two wolves. They were even looking for his neck trying to bite his throat.
Just when the soldier thought that he might die here today, he suddenly heard a sound, and the two wolves that attacked him collapsed and retreated at the same time.
The soldier was stunned for a moment and then he looked up with blood on his face. He found that there stuck a folding knife on each
hind leg of the two maned wolves.
The cuts were deep. They were badly injured and bleeding!
The soldier immediately looked toward the tree a short distance away. He saw Lloyd stepping on the tree trunk agilely with icy eyes.
His upper body leaned forward, which was obviously a militarized offensive posture. It was obvious that one of the folding knives was thrown by him.
But the other one...
At this moment, there came a sound behind him.
When the soldier looked back, he saw an exquisite figure in a camouflage uniform. She jumped from the top to stand in front of him.
The girl's face was a little dirty but it didn't cover her gorgeous and unparalleled facial features.
The expression on her face was cold. She was holding a hemp rope in her hand. She raised her eyes and fixed them on the three maned wolves that were standing together because of their injuries.
"Are you okay?" the girl's voice was wet with the wind in the rainforest night.
The soldier stared blankly at the not tall but sturdy figure in front of him. His cheeks flushed instantly, and then he stammered, "I'm all..."
"I'm all right," the man on the opposite tree trunk replied.
"OK. Stay on the tree and don't come down otherwise you'll distract me."
The soldier was instantly embarrassed. It turned out that she was talking to Mr.Vasquez... But what did she mean by it?
Before he could understand it, the soldier felt something flash in front of him. The girl before him suddenly moved.
She threw out the hemp rope. The soft rope jumped in the air, and when it fell, it was like a hard whip with strength. It separated the three maned wolves that were standing together!
She did it quickly and agilely. She then attacked the three maned wolves fiercely with a chill on her face!
The next scene made the soldier dumbfounded!
Lloyd held the trunk with one hand and pressed the branches under his feet with the other. His dark and complex eyes followed the movements of the girl below. He even didn't blink and just followed her movements closely.
He was waiting. He would immediately jump down to help her once she showed the sign of being less strong. She would be unhappy if he helped her too early.
The three-minute fight between the girl and the wolves ended very quickly.
The three maned wolves screamed and ran into the forest. There was still a strong smell of blood in the air.
Lloyd jumped down from the tree.
It was a piece of cake for him to jump from a four-meter-high tree. After jumping down from the tree, he quickly walked up to the girl and held her arm.
There was a cut on her arm. It was scratched by the claw of the fierce wolves. Fortunately, it only tore her coat so the flesh inside was intact.
Lloyd got relieved.
Ebony was shocked by what Lloyd had done to her. She turned her head to look at the scratches on her coat and took back her hand regardless of them. She then said, "They can't get close to me."
After that, she wiped the wolves' blood on her face with the back of her hand. She then raised another hand. And there were two bloody folding knives in the palm of the other hand.
Looking at the two knives, Lloyd fell silent for a moment. He suddenly thought of a possibility and asked uncertainly, "Do you know you can distract them without hand-to-hand combat by standing at a distance?"
"Of course..." Ebony wiped off the blood on the folding knife with her sleeves and said, "Go up the tree."
Lloyd frowned, "But you..."
Ebony raised her head and looked at Lloyd assuredly, "How can I get my knife back if they go? It's my stuff. It's mine!"
Lloyd didn't know what to say.
It was true.
Ebony turned around at this time and put away her folding knife.
She handed the other knife to the soldier who was still sitting on the ground and praised him at the same time, "You've got a quick mind.
You can stab the wolf when things are so difficult even though your
arm and leg were bitten. The position you stabbed is perfect. Their hind legs were hurt so that it can weaken their power."
The soldier was stunned for a moment and looked at Lloyd behind him. He immediately explained, "Actually it's not me..."
"Are, are you all right? " there came a delicate female voice behind a big tree.
The three people paused. When they looked up, they saw Lorena come out behind the tree with a pitiful face.
She seemed to be frightened and her face turned pale. She stood in front of them pathetically with two hands wringing the hem of her coat.
Was she aggrieved?
Ebony chuckled and suddenly stepped forward and walked ahead.
Lorena was gazing at Ebony in horror as she was getting closer. Lorena bit her lips and asked in fear, "You, what do you want to do..."
"Bang!"
The slap with great strength suddenly sounded at the quiet midnight in the rainforest.
Lorena covered her face in surprise and looked at Ebony in disbelief. She immediately shouted, "You, you dare to hit me!"
"Bang!" Ebony slapped her again. She was telling Lorena whether she dared to slap her with her real action.
"Ah--" Lorena screamed. She covered the other face and quickly stepped backward.
Her face was pale. She opened her mouth and spat out a bloody tooth.
"Ebony, I'll make things very difficult for you!" Lorena growled tremblingly.
Ebony's eyebrows and eyes were curved. She said, "What a coincidence. I'll make things very difficult for you, too." After she said it, she lifted her foot and kicked Lorena on her lower abdomen. Lorena was kicked out of there and heavily fell on the muddy gravel ground.
"Ouch..." Lorena was so painful that she couldn't move instantly.
Ebony put both her hands in the pockets of her trousers. She looked at the awkward girl arrogantly and said slowly, "The first slap was for that young man. He's a soldier so he can't hit you. I'm doing it for him."
"The second slap is for Lloyd. He's not a soldier but he's very delicate. He washes his face with hot water and must eat all three meals in a day. He's unable to protect himself. If he can not climb the tree, his corpse might be cold now. You stop the soldier from saving him. A thousand death even cannot atone for your fault."
Lloyd, who was unable to protect himself and was so delicate that must wash his face with hot water and must eat three meals in a day, got nothing to say.
"The last kick is for me," Ebony said with a smile, "My coat was broken because of you."
