Chapter 8 Act in Different Ways

Chapter 8 Act in Different Ways
Victor acted one way to Lloyd's face and another behind his back. It was as easy as falling off a log for him.
It suddenly occurred to Jacob that Victor complained that Ebony was deliberately directed at him perhaps because Ebony had known what kind of person he was before, so she treated him so badly?
It all made sense when he thought about it.
Only 25 euros were left in less than one hour.
In the evening, everyone gathered in the boys' room to make plans for tomorrow's tour.
They were required to tick off (post pictures or videos of someplace on social media) five scenic spots, but no matter how they calculated, the money was not enough. The fare to the first tourist attraction tomorrow would cost them more than 30 euros.
A cold voice of a man sounded, "What about taking a bus?"
It was Lloyd.
Everyone turned to look at him.
Victor turned back and smiled bitterly, "None of us are locals, and the routes are complicated. I'm afraid we won't be able to get there and get lost in the end. If we get lost, we will waste time and money."
Victor hesitated for a while and said, "Ok, I'll check the bus route." He seemed to be forced to check it since Lloyd mentioned it.
Lloyd frowned slightly.
Jacob and Teri looked at each other, and they understood Victor started to pretend to be poor again. Only Rita didn't find it.
Ebony was on the sofa a long distance away, flipping through the brochure of the hotel as if she had nothing to do with the discussion. She did not join in it at all.
Victor picked up his mobile phone and started to check on it. But he couldn't speak Freolorian and the translation application didn't translate it accurately. It plagued him and he still didn't work it out in the end.
Everyone was tired after discussing for an hour. Jacob said, "Go to bed and check it tomorrow morning."
The three girls went back to their room. But the next day, Victor got up and suddenly said, "Sorry, it seems that I have a cold."
Jacob frowned, "Do you need to go to the hospital?"
Victor coughed and said, "It might be because I checked the information too late last night and I didn't notice the cool breeze on the balcony. I want to lie down for a while. You guys can discuss the route first."
Jacob gave Victor a deep look, and then looked at Lloyd. "Mr. Vasquez, are you going?"
Lloyd picked up his jacket without looking at Victor, "Sure."
The two men went to the girls' room. Hearing Victor was ill and was not able to discuss the route with them, Teri immediately sneered.
Ebony raised the corner of her mouth, but only Rita didn't understand it. She was worried, "Ah, he's ill, I'll go and see him."
After that, she ran out of the room.
The four people left in the room all understood it. Jacob said in front of the camera, "Victor works too hard. He's a younger generation and we can't always rely on him. But he will also feel less energetic, and I think we'd better not bother him with the main jobs in the future." What he had said almost told the audience that Victor was shirking responsibility.
But without Victor, they still needed a person to make a decision for them.
No one dared to bother Lloyd, and finally, Jacob and Teri turned to look at Ebony at the same time, "Ebony, what do you think?"
Ebony was eating the cookies that were from nowhere and said lazily, "I'm a tile tank. I'll listen to you."
Teri smiled, "Nonsense. We are all here to participate in the show and you are our steward."
"I'm not the steward. I'm a tile tank, your servant."
Rita came back at that moment and just heard what Ebony had said. She felt confused and sat back next to Teri. But she then suddenly asked, "Where did you get the cookies? Give me some! I'm starving to death!"
Ebony gulped it and drank the hot water. She then said, "No more cookies."
"You...!"
Teri held Rita. She stood up and walked over to Ebony to pat her back, " Don't get cross. We are all here to have fun, and we are a family. What do you think about it?"
Ebony still shook her head, "Although I do have some ideas, I'm just a tile tank."

"Do you have any ideas?" Jacob asked immediately.
Ebony turned her face away, "No, a tile tank is not eligible to have ideas."
Rita instantly stood up, "Tell us quickly."
Ebony not only shook her head this time but also muttered,
"A tile tank is an inferior, inferior to anyone else. Tile tank, why are you buried in the soil?"
Others got nothing to say.
On the bullet screen in the direct broadcasting room.
-- [Hahaha, I nearly died laughing.]
-- [It's Ebony's real performance. She perfectly showed us how to behave in a deliberately ambiguous way.]
-- [Who said Ebony was a tile tank? It pissed her off. But does she really have any ideas?]
-- [To be honest, I don't believe Ebony has an idea. The money is obviously not enough. There left little since they spent too much yesterday as Victor suggested. And he disappeared today. Good job.]
-- [Hi, the guys remarked above, there's nothing to do with Vic. Did they agree to spend the money yesterday no matter which hotel to live in or which restaurant to have meals in? He has been ill in order to check the route. There are six people and why do you only blame him?]
-- [He shouldn't offer them advice since he's not good at it. Did nobody say the hotel was expensive? Did nobody tell him the restaurant was expensive? He insisted on it and others had to agree. He didn't make a mistake since he's shirking responsibility?]
-- [He's not shirking responsibility? He is sick!]
-- [What a coincidence! Isn't Lloyd ill? Victor couldn't get up since the two rooms were quite near?]
-- [I don't like Victor. He pretended to be poor in front of the camera yesterday because Lloyd didn't appreciate his kindness. Don't think we've forgotten it.]
The audience gradually focused their discussion on Victor on the bullet screen.
In the hotel room, Teri was still coaxing Ebony, "Tell us your ideas!"
Ebony looked disobedient and said lazily, "Sorry, a tile tank is not eligible to share her ideas."
"Ebony Gibson, watch your language!" Rita was angry and wanted to hit her.
Ebony immediately stood up and bent over in a very respectful manner, "Yes, Miss Obrien is right. I'm wrong. Do you need me to kneel and kowtow for you?"
"Ebony Gibson!" Rita flew into a rage.
"You, you, you..." Rita stood up with arms akimbo and walked in circles, "You pissed me off!"
On the other side, Lloyd turned his face. He couldn't help showing a smile on the corner of his mouth.
He was thinking, 'This girl is really bad-tempered.'
Rita was furious. She pointed at the staff of the show and asked, "Who said she was a tile tank? What should we do now?"
Ebony sat on the sofa alone as if she was immersing herself in her own world.
The show couldn't bear it anymore and got anxious, "We did not mean that. Please don't say tile tank anymore..."
"I'm not a tile tank? You said it yourself. You asked me to serve them like an ancestor. Didn't I do what you said?"
"You are the steward. You are responsible to help them solve problems."
"Oh, you want me to come up with a solution? Alright, my idea is that they figure it out themselves. And I'll listen to them."
The staff of the show got speechless.
Others said nothing.
She was going to be against them.
Teri knew that Ebony did have some ideas. She said gently, "Ebony, calm down. I remember the significance of the steward is to manage us. You are the leader since you are our steward. Why do you always say you are a tile tank?"
Ebony glanced at Teri and said nothing.
Jacob also said, "Yes, Ebony. Please be what you were before. Tell us what we should do. We all listen to you."
Ebony Gibson looked at Jacob and then turned to Rita.
Rita didn't say anything.
Teri pulled Rita's sleeve.
Finally, Rita said angrily, "You have to make sure that we have a place to live and something to eat. If you promise you can do it, I'll listen to you."
Ebony looked away because she thought what Rita had said was obviously nonsense. She finally turned to look at Lloyd.
Lloyd looked at her. There was filled with a faint smile in his dark eyes, "I've always been listening to you."
