Chapter 264 Looks Environmentally Friendly and Like Green Food

Ebony was stunned.

Kara was too.

She looked at the flirting couple in shock. The scene was too much for her to take.

She whined, "Men are woes. Why wouldn't she listen?"

Donald heard it and smiled, "Kara, don't always think about breaking them up. As I see it, Ebony and Lloyd are made for each other."

"Nonsense!" Kara immediately glared at Donald, "They are both men!"

Donald was speechless.

Donald shook his head. There was no point in arguing with a fangirl. They were unreasonable.

After everyone rested for a while, Ebony began to assign work.

"It's getting late. We should find food and camp at the same time. Make your choice."

Donald immediately said, "I'm fine with either option, but how are we going to camp without a tent?"

Kara said, "Yeah, they didn't even leave us a sleeping bag. The directors are trying to get us killed!"

Ebony looked around the place and said, "On our way here, we saw a lot of dead trees, didn't we? We'll find some sturdy trunks and use them as racks. Against the rock wall, we can build a triangular stand that will be fixed with rattan and covered with banana leaves. It's simple yet functional."

It sounded easy for Donald, so he said, "I'll stay and build the shelter. The task is easy."

Ebony then asked Kara, "What about you?"

Kara replied, "I'll build the shelter with Donald. I don't feel like walking."

Ebony nodded and turned to Lloyd. "What about you?"

Lloyd replied simply, "Looking for food."

Ebony nodded and said, "Okay, you'll go with me."

She would definitely go to look for food since the others might not be able to tell if it was poisonous. She had to be there checking.

After assigning the work, Lloyd and Ebony set off.

Kara remembered there was a fruit knife in her suitcase. She took it out and said, "Ebo, take..."

Before she could finish her words, Ebony and Lloyd, who had been standing beside her, were gone.

Kara looked around and saw them in a tree nearby.

The two were athletic. After getting on the third branch, they easily leaped onto the top of the opposite cliff, which was two meters away.

Without breaking a sweat or looking back, they took a shortcut and left hand in hand as if this place was their back garden.

Kara was stunned.

Donald was too.

Kara muttered vacantly, "Are they flying?"

Donald didn't know what to say.

Actually, there was a lot of food in the dense forest. Although this was an uninhabited island, the natural resources were abundant.

An hour later, Ebony and Lloyd came back. Each of them carried two coconuts as well as two bags of wild vegetables and fruit.

Neither Donald nor Kara was at the camp.

Their luggage was hidden under a large banana leaf.

There was a thin trunk in front of the clearing.

Ebony put the things down and looked at the trunk. "No way, it's been almost an hour, and they just brought back one trunk? Where is the promised shelter?"

Lloyd kicked the trunk to feel its hardness and said, "Not suitable."

Ebony sighed and said, "It's too thin to bear the weight. It will collapse."

While they were talking, a scream suddenly came from ahead.

"Help!"

Ebony recognized Kara's voice, turned serious, and immediately rushed over.

She made it to the scene and saw Donald standing in front of Kara with a branch in his hand. On the trunk opposite them perched a turquoise snake.

They were in a standoff.

Ebony narrowed her eyes.

Kara saw Ebony and immediately called out as if she had seen a life-saving straw, "Ebo!"

Instead of responding, Ebony picked up a stone from the ground and hurled it at the snake.

Startled by her attack, the snake lunged toward her.

Ebony was ready to catch it by the head. In the nick of time, the snack was caught by another hand in mid-air.

She was surprised.

The snake was too.

Without turning a hair, Lloyd subdued the snake and said blandly, "It's a green snake and not poisonous."

Then he furrowed his brows.

Hiding behind Donald, Kara was almost moved to tears when she saw the snake was caught. Then she shouted at the drone overhead, "I cried for help for a long time, but you were just standing by."

The drone flew around. There was no response.

Donald patted Kara's shoulder to comfort her. Then he turned to Lloyd and Ebony and said, "We were carrying the trunk when it suddenly appeared and tried to attack us."

Lloyd said blandly, "Green snakes are timid. It should be startled."

Kara patted her chest and said, "It was startled but scared the hell out of me. Lloyd, throw it away. It's scary."

Ebony cut in, "Don't."

She came over and took the snake from Lloyd's hand. Pinching its head and body, she looked at its small reddish eyes and cocked her brows. "It looks so environmentally friendly. I see green food and will keep it for storage."

The other three people were shocked.

The snake was too.

Ebony noticed their daze and smiled, "Just kidding. I won't keep it for storage. We'll eat it tonight!"

The other three people were stunned.

The snake was too.

Ebony raised her head, waved the snake at the drone, and said unhurriedly, "Thank you for the delivery. I'll enjoy the delicacy."

Donald and Kara asked in confusion, "What delivery?"

Ebony sneered, "There are no green snakes in Southeast Asean. Probably to create an episode of adversity, the program team released this pet to scare you."

Kara's anger flared up, and she shouted at the drone, "You're insane!"

Ebony pulled out a few rattan strips from the side, made a basket, put the snake inside, and said to the drone, "Alright, enough for the joke. Send someone here to take it away. Green snakes are not adapted to the Southeast Asean climate. We can't release it here. You should get it back to the incubator as soon as possible."

In the monitoring room, the chief director looked at the screen, sighed, and said to the assistant director, "Ebony is worthy of her reputation. At first glance, she figured out the situation. I think Lloyd has figured it out too. When he caught the green snake, he frowned and probably suspected why a green snake appeared in Southeast Asean. Gee, this is called domestic harmony. Oops, I root for them again."

The assistant director picked up a stool and tried to smash his head.

The chief director hurriedly covered his head and shouted, "What are you doing!"

The assistant director cursed, "Have you lost your mind? Our scripts have all fallen through! And you have the nerve to fool around!"

The chief director felt wronged. "What else can I do? I said it would not work, but you didn't think so!"

The assistant director was furious. He threw the stool away, picked up the intercom, and instructed, "Send someone to get the snake back. This is so damn embarrassing!"

An hour later, Ebony and the others were building the shelter when a helicopter hovered above them.

After a while, a staff member of the program team came down the rope ladder.

He greeted them awkwardly, "Lloyd, Ebony, Donald, Kara."

Kara grunted and ignored him.

Donald also gave no response.

Lloyd was fastening the rope.

Ebony seemed to be the most easy-going. She picked up the basket and came over.

The staff member smiled flatteringly, "Thank you, Ebony."

Ebony said casually, "It's alright."

The staff member reached out to take the basket, but it suddenly fell to the ground.

Before he could react, his collar was grabbed. In the next instant, he was given an overarm throw and landed on a big rock.

At the same time, Kara and Donald quickly stopped their work.

Like well-trained soldiers, they rushed over and subdued him.

The staff member was scared out of his wits.

Just then, Ebony lifted her foot.

She stepped on a trunk, held her head high, looked at the drone, and threatened them aloud, "Listen up, your man is in my hands. Be sensible and prepare four boxes of mineral water, four sets of kitchenware, four sleeping bags, four tents, four military field kits, and a full set of seasoning products, or this man here will be in trouble!"
