Chapter 262 Welcome to Your Honeymoon on This Desert Island

Chapter 262 Welcome to Your Honeymoon on This Desert Island

Lloyd and the cat became mortal enemies.

Only one of them would live.

The chief director came back from his business and saw the assistant director desperately making calls to borrow a dog.

He asked in confusion, "What do you want to borrow a dog for?"

The assistant director dialed another number and replied causally, "To catch a cat."

"A cat?"

The assistant director pointed to the monitor.

The chief director went over for a look. On the surveillance screen, an orange kitten was squatting on top of the hanging cabinet of the TV set. Its white claws were carefully clutching the edge of the cabinet. Its big eyes were filled with fear and grievances as it stared down.

Underneath it, Lloyd was sullenly staring at it when his arms folded.

The chief director had no idea what this was about. "A stray cat has broken into the guests' house?"

He asked, "What's the situation now? A kitten ran into the house and hid on top of the cabinet. Mr. Vasquez is worried about its safety and trying to get it down? So, he is guarding down there?"

"Heh." The assistant director sneered and looked at the chief director in a sarcastic way, "He is guarding after doing everything he could to corner the cat. It delights him to see no escape for the cat and make it suffer."

The chief director was confounded. "What are you talking about?"

The assistant director gave no response.

The chief director asked again, "Where is Ebony?"

The assistant director replied, "On the second floor."

The chief director then switched to the monitor in the corridor of the second floor.

In Lloyd's room, Ebony was seen changing the bedsheet and blanket. Then she sprayed some perfume and opened the window to ensure air circulation.

The chief director was puzzled.

What was all this about?

Just then, the assistant director finally found a dog.

Ten minutes later, Lloyd leisurely leaned against the railing on the second floor. With his hands in his pants pockets, he indifferently looked down at the orange kitten who was chased around by the dog.

Five minutes later, the dog got tired, stuck out its tongue, walked to Ebony, and whined around her.

Ebony felt helpless. She poured a bowl of water for the dog and stroked its head.

The dog had some water, grinned for a while, and suddenly jumped up. Its paws rested on Ebony's knees, and it was trying to lick her face. Its fluffy tail behind its buttocks was wagging vigorously.

Lloyd was stupefied.

Just then, the kitten, who was lying under the sofa, scampered out, jumped into Ebony's arms, and meowed at her pitifully.

Lloyd felt devastated.

He failed to drive away the cat.

Worse still, he brought in a dog who double-crossed him.

He shut his eyes and pressed his forehead. The headache was splitting.

Half an hour later, the real estate manager finally found the owner of the cat.

The owner took the cat away, and the dog was taken away too. Peace was finally restored in the house.

Lloyd sat down on the sofa and pulled a long face.

After closing the door, Ebony heaved a sigh of relief, went over, patted Lloyd on the shoulder, and said, "I've cleaned up your room. It no longer stinks, really."

Lloyd gave no response.

Ebony massaged his shoulders and said, "Take it easy! How about you sleep in the guest room tonight? You won't stay in that room again?"

Lloyd remained silent.

Ebony sighed and said, "You shouldn't have pissed it off. Cats are petty and even pettier than you."

Lloyd narrowed his eyes and suddenly looked at the girl beside him.

Ebony smiled and coaxed him again, "It really doesn't stink anymore. Go take a look."

Lloyd let out a breath, tiredly pulled Ebony over, folded her in his arms, and discussed with her, "After we get married, if you really like pets, we'd better keep monkeys."

Ebony got mixed feelings.

She felt bad and really regretted it.

"Bah!" Ebony pushed him away, stood up, and bellowed, "I shouldn't have helped you, goodbye!"

With that, she turned around and went upstairs.

In the monitoring room, the assistant director looked at the screen and shook his head. "Yikes, why did it happen again as soon as they hugged..."

"Hahaha..."

The assistant director dully looked over. Sure enough, the chief director was snapping pictures again.

The assistant director was irritated and eager to strangle him.

Three days later, the three groups of guests reunited for the upcoming honeymoon.

The program team charted a bus.

On the bus, the guests started chatting.

Donald suddenly remembered something and asked, "I heard that the stray cats of the entire neighborhood gathered outside Ebony and Lloyd's house two days ago. It was a grand scene. Does anyone know what happened?"

Lloyd was stunned.

Ebony was too.

She felt embarrassed. She couldn't tell everyone that after the orange cat was taken away by its owner, it got mad, called upon its brothers, and came again the next day. They surrounded Lloyd, trying to cause trouble.

She found an excuse for Lloyd. "I made fish. Maybe they smelled it."

Kara immediately said, "It should be tasty!"

Ebony laughed drily, "I'll make it for you next time."

Kara quickly said, "Thank you, Ebo!"

Belinda and Josue were sitting at the back. Belinda seemed to be not herself. Leaning on the seat, she was having a rest.

Josue asked, "I wonder where we are going this time."

Donald said, "It seems to be somewhere cold. The program team gave me a hint the day before and forbade me to tell anyone. I was told to bring winter clothes."

Kara froze, quickly looked at him, and said, "They gave me a hint too and forbade me to tell anyone. I was told to bring summer clothes!"

Donald's eyes widened at once. "What?"

Josue said, "I was noticed to bring winter clothes."

Kara immediately looked at the other couple. "Ebo, Lloyd, what about you?"

Ebony replied, "I was told to bring summer clothes."

She then turned to look at Lloyd.

The man said in a bland tone, "Winter."

Everyone was confused. The boys were told to bring winter clothes and the girls summer clothes?

What did this mean?

They quickly looked at the directing team members who were sitting in front of them.

A smile was the only reply. They had to keep it mysterious.

Only they couldn't keep it for long.

46 hours had passed.

They had traveled on a plane, on a bus, on foot, in off-road vehicles, and on a ferry. It was a long, exhausting trudge.

The six guests finally arrived at their honeymoon destination.

On the side, a sandy beach stretched into the distance. Behind them were erected big withered trees. Ahead of them was the blue sea.

Overhead, some annoying drones were flying.

Carrying big or small bags, the three beautifully dressed couples of the simulated marriage show stood in front of the beach and looked blankly ahead. The ferry carried the staff members and the directors farther and farther away until it disappeared from the distance.

The smell of salty seawater came to them.

The words of the directors were still echoing in their minds. Before leaving, they said, "Welcome to your honeymoon on this desert island. It's 40 degrees Celsius during the day and minus 27 at night. This island is uninhabited and isolated. There is no water, food, meat, or houses, but you have winter and summer clothes which will come in handy. So, good luck with your adventure."
