Chapter 233 God Is So Cruel to Her
Mu Nuanxin got anxious and sat up immediately when she heard this. "I'm going to see her."
"Don't worry. I just came back from there. She just fell asleep and won't wake up in a short time," Tang Xiu said.
"It's okay. I just want to take a look at her, otherwise I can't be relieved," Mu Nuanxin said nervously. What happened at home these days was a devastating blow for Mu Qiqi, so Mu Nuanxin was really worried about Mu Qiqi.
"Okay, I'll go with you," Tang Xiu nodded. He had no choice but to help her get out of bed and walk to the ward next door.
Mu Qiqi was lying quietly on the bed with tears on her face. Her eyelashes were trembling, but she hadn't woken up yet.
Mu Nuanxin walked over to the bed and touched Mu Qiqi's red face gently. "How about her condition? Is it severe?" Mu Nuanxin asked softly.
"She also has a fever. She kept vomiting when she came. Her mood has been swinging too much recently. The doctor said that she couldn't be shocked anymore, otherwise she would be in a critical condition," Tang Xiu replied in a low voice.
Mu Nuanxin burst into tears and wiped the tears from Mu Qiqi's face. "She's only ten years old. It's unfair to let her suffer such cruelty at such a young age," Mu Nuanxin said.
Mu Nuanxin remembered that Qiqi used to be lively and talkative. She used to laugh a lot and give performances in school. But since Mu Luozhong had an accident, she became strange and quiet and often stared blankly.
Tang Xiu looked at Mu Nuanxin with pity. Why was God so cruel to her? She was only eighteen years old and suffered far more pain than Mu Qiqi.
After they returned to Mu Nuanxin's ward, Tang Xiu helped her onto the bed and put a pillow behind her. "Do you want to eat something? The doctor said that you have a weak immune system and must eat more food, so that you can recover faster," he said.
"I'm not hungry. I don't want to eat," Mu Nuanxin said softly. She had no appetite.
"Eat a little. The porridge I asked the private chef to cook for you is light. You will like it.." Tang Xiu filled a bowl with porridge and wanted to feed her.
"I'll feed myself!" Mu Nuanxin took the bowl with embarrassment and started to eat slowly. The porridge tasted really good. Even if she had no appetite, she wouldn't feel full quickly.
Tang Xiu was relieved that she finally ate something. He sat down and began to peel an apple for her. Mu Nuanxin glanced at him and noticed that he was focusing on the apple with a smile on his face.
Mu Nuanxin looked at him with a heavy heart. He had been taking care of her these days without complaints or impatience.
She really didn't know how to repay him for his kindness. Although she was his sister's good friend, he didn't need to do so much.
Mu Nuanxin seemed to understand one thing, but she didn't dare think about it for fear of being self-sentimental. Tang Xiu was outstanding, and all the girls he knew were daughters of wealthy families. It was unlikely that he would like an ordinary girl like her.
Tang Xiu's phone rang suddenly. He was stunned for a moment. He had told his subordinates not to disturb him unless something urgent happened.
He put down the half-peeled apple with a frown and answered the phone. "Xiu, Tian had an accident." An anxious voice came from the other end of the line. The caller was Tang Jin, the third son in the Tang family.
The fruit knife in Tang Xiu's hand slipped and clattered into the fruit bowl. His eyes widened with shock.
"What's wrong?" Mu Nuanxin asked nervously, looking at his worried expression.
"Tian was kidnapped!"
"What? How could this happen? Is her in danger now? Who kidnapped her?" Mu Nuanxin gave a sharp intake of breath.  The bowl fell onto the bed as her hands started to tremble.
"I don't know yet. Nuanxin, I may have to go abroad!" Tang Xiu said with a frown. Tang Jin would definitely not call him unless it was very urgent.
"You should go quickly. I'm fine. You've done so much for me these days. I'm so grateful for all your help. I can't bother you anymore. What's more, the most important thing is to find Tian," Mu Nuanxin said anxiously.
"Don't say that. I'm glad you can call me when you are in trouble. This hospital is run by the Tang family. You and your sister can stay here at ease. I have already told the director," Tang Xiu said with a frown. He was a little worried about Mu Nuanxin's current situation because her pain was both physical and emotional.
"I got it," she nodded.
"Nuanxin. It's not possible to change what happened. You have to accept things the way that they are. No matter what happens, life does go on. You have to be strong. I will always support you. Remember what I said. Don't hesitate to contact me if you need help." Tang Xiu walked over to her and stared at her.
"I got it. I understand. Don't worry. I'll cling to life." Although tears welled up in her eyes, she smiled at him.
Tang Xiu was relieved to hear that and couldn't help extending his hand to wipe the tears from her face. "I feel relieved now. I will ask my assistant to come here. If you need anything, just tell him."
"What? Your assistant should stay with you. It's inappropriate to ask him to accompany me," Mu Nuanxin said with a frown.
"Don't worry about this. I have more than one assistant, so it's okay. You must take care of yourself." Tang Xiu left the hospital after calling the director, doctors and nurses over and telling them to take care of her.
Since Tang Xiu left, Mu Nuanxin became restless. After falling asleep, she dreamed that Tang Tian was badly injured and shouted for help, and dreamed that Mu Luozhong grabbed her and spoke to her before he died. She suddenly woke up from the nightmare in a cold sweat.
No one else was in the ward. She wiped the sweat from her forehead, got out of bed, and took a drink of water. When she felt better, she started to comfort herself that it was just a dream and Tang Tian would be fine.
