Chapter 39 Malign
In the Hundred Flowers Revolving Restaurant, they stepped down from the Uber.
Staring at the high-end signboard in front of them, Chen Yinuo couldn't help but frown. "Don't tell me you're going to the Hundred Flowers Revolving Restaurant for dinner!"
"Anything wrong with it?" Ye Chen questioned.
"Do you know how much the food costs here? Just a glass of milk costs more than a hundred dollars! I know you have some spare money with you, but I hope you don't forget the time when you were poor even if you have money! The little money you earned from Antique City is not enough for you to squander like a nouveau riche!" Chen Yinuo exclaimed.
"How can we consider this a 'squander' when we're having a meal together as a family? Besides, it's not like I spend it every day. Rather than wasting money on those fake friends, isn't it better to spend my money with my family? Didn't you mention before, you'll be happy if you could enjoy a meal here? Yes, I was an asshole before. I couldn't provide you with a quality life no matter before or after our marriage. Since I could afford to pay here once in a while, I want you to enjoy the food here!" Ye Chen said genuinely.
Did Chen Yinuo yearn to come to the Hundred Flowers Revolving Restaurant? Yes, she did.
At least when she hasn't completely given up on Ye Chen.
Passing by this restaurant every time, she always fantasized about having a proper meal here with her family when they have financial stability. Surely will it be a great experience for them, enjoying the best scenery of Jiang Zhou down from the window, while having a meal.

"Mommy, I like it here so much! Can we go in here, please mommy!" Once Ye Chen put Youyou down, the latter tugged Chen Yinuo's sleeves gently, blinking with her big watery eyes, and asked eagerly.
"Alright, it's better to spend money here than to waste it on gambling. Let's go in!" Chen Yinuo shook her head and sighed, no longer resisting.
Based on her understanding of Ye Chen's nature, she believed he will lose the money he had in gambling not long after.
"Yay! Let's go in, daddy!" Upon receiving her mother's green light, the little girl immediately ran back to Ye Chen, held his hand, and chirped cheerfully.
Once the little girl entered the elevator, she gave a gurgle of laughter in excitement. Although the elevator accelerated upward at a high speed, rather than being afraid of its speed, Youyou jumped in excitement as if exploring a whole new world.
Seeing her reaction, Ye Chen was heartbroken. Not to mention providing a quality life to the mother-daughter. In the past few years, he didn't spend time with them. He didn't consider this elevator as a high-tech or rare sightseeing one. However, after realizing he didn't take his daughter to explore himself, he was so regretful that he wanted to throw a big punch in his face.
A few moments later, they arrived at the Hundred Flowers Revolving Restaurant. Although it was a high-end restaurant, its status didn't achieve the standard where they'll need to apply for a membership card to schedule an appointment.
Within seconds, under the guidance of the server, Ye Chen took both mother-daughter the window seat.
"Daddy, I want to order this- that too! All of them!"
Scanning the attractive foods displayed on the electronic menu, Ye Youyou yelled out excitedly.
"Youyou! Keep your voice down, you're going to disturb others!"
Chen Yinuo hurriedly covered Ye Youyou's mouth.
After seeing Ye Youyou winked her eyes and nodded her head in affirmation, only did Chen Yinuo release her hands.
Watching at their interactions, Ye Chen couldn't help but burst out laughing.
"Alright, daddy will order everything that Youyou wants to eat!"
Perhaps Youyou think the food looked good in the pictures, but she didn't know if they were actually delicious.
Nevertheless, Ye Chen ordered all the foods that his daughter has chosen.
Looked at his actions, Chen Yinuo knitted her brows tightly.
Eventually, she couldn't help but grunted, "Kids know nothing! You don't have to spoil her. It's a waste of money!"
"It's fine! Since it has been a while that Youyou is happy!" Ye Chen smiled, and continued, "What do you want to eat, Yinuo?"
"Anything will do!" Chen Yinuo didn't plan to take over the tablet to order.
"Alright, I'll help you order then!" Based on his understanding of Chen Yinuo's taste preference, Ye Chen confidently placed the order.
Somehow, noticing Ye Chen for being so self-assured, she had a feeling as if he was familiar with this restaurant.
But how was this possible?! How could he afford to spend here?
Moreover, being an addicted gambler himself, he'd prefer to spend his money at the casino if he's rich. So how would he be willing to spare his money to eat such an expensive meal?
After placing the order, they waited patiently for the food to be served. The couple, which only existed in the name, was facing each other.
"Yinuo, how's your work recently?" After a long silence, Ye Chen took the lead and started the conversation.
"Still fine. It's enough for me to support Youyou and me." Chen Yinuo replied indifferently.
The latter has no intention of telling the former about her promotion.
After ending her words, she added, "You'd better take care of yourself! We don't need your concern!"
Ye Chen choked on her remarks.
He didn't know where to begin.
Forcing a laugh, both returned to silence. If it wasn't Youyou being a barrel of laughs, it will become the most awkward moment in their lives.
Under Youyou's liveliness, soon the foods were served.
"Mommy, have a bit of this!"
"Daddy, try this too!"
"Mommy, daddy! Try this one. It's yummy!" The mischievous kid, Youyou, remembered not to disturb others with her loud voice. Thus, this little one whispered in a joyful tone.
She has become the lubricant in repairing Ye Chen's and Chen Yinuo's broken relationship.
"Youyou, stop playing around! Hurry up and finish eating! We'll be going back soon!"
When the food on the table was almost finished eating, Chen Yinuo took a napkin to dab her mouth.
However, at this moment; cynical voice suddenly sounded from behind her.
''Yoo-hoo, isn't this our Team Leader Chen? "
Ye Chen looked up, Chen Yinuo turned around.
To her dismay, she saw Wang Tao, Deputy General Manager of Huaxing Commerce, walking over with a woman.
After seeing the other party, Chen Yinuo's face darkened.
"You are?" Sensing that the man has bad intentions, Ye Chen narrowed his eyes and questioned.
"Oh, let me introduce myself! I'm Wang Tao, the Deputy General Manager of Huaxing Commerce. I was once the direct leader of Team Leader Chen. Since Team Leader Chen has risen from the ranks, I can't control her! If I'm not mistaken, you are Team Leader Chen's husband, aren't you? I heard you are the God of Gamblers. Did you hit the jackpot recently? Otherwise, how could you afford to have a meal here with Team Leader Chen?" While sneering, Wang Tao maligned both of them.
"Deputy General Manager Wang, are you finished? Does it matter to you where I eat? Did I offend you?!" Chen Yinuo gritted her teeth and asked.
"Tsk, don't be so angry, Team Leader Chen! As a colleague, isn't it normal for me to greet you? Don't tell me, you're afraid I'll say something I shouldn't that will affect your relationship with your husband, eh?" Wang Tao mocked her cynically.
"You're Deputy General Manager Wang, right? What do you mean by that? Did Yinuo offend you?" Ye Chen stood up and growled in a deep voice.
"Ye Chen, let's go! There's no need for us to talk nonsense with such people!" Chen Yinuo pulled Ye Youyou up. As far as she was concerned, Ye Chen was a suspicious man by nature.
Although the countdown to their divorce has already begun, she did not dare to let Wang Tao malign in front of Ye Chen. She's afraid Ye Chen will misunderstand and went crazy, resulting in variables associated with their divorce.
"Tsk, Team Leader Chen is feeling anxious now? Afraid that I told those disgraceful things that you've done to your husband?" Blocking Chen Yinuo's way, Wang Tao taunted.

"Since you're so upright, why are you anxious?" Wang Tao sneered and glanced at Ye Chen.
"Mr. God of Gamblers, I'm afraid you do not know how capable your wife is! She managed not only to get the offer at a lower price than our competitor but she also got recognized by the other company's boss! The boss mentioned their company will only recognize her to manage the contract. Moreover, she deals with the boss directly in a private conversation, and was promoted a few levels higher at once! Tsk task, don't you realize how capable she is?"
