Chapter 110 A Husbands Doubts

Chapter 110 Questioning as a Husband
Teresa didn't receive a reply from Hubert, so she said to Leila, "Hubert is probably having a good time with his friends. I sent him messages, but he didn't reply to me."
"You don't have to come to my place tomorrow. You should take some time to spend with Hubert."
Leila felt her marriage was a failure. She hoped Teresa's marriage would be better and longer than hers.
She had high comments on Hubert, who treated Teresa nicely and was more generous than Patrick. She and Patrick got married after a long, serious relationship. But he was not willing to give her a car, though he had some money now.
And her electric bike was bought for her by Teresa.
"Leila, I know."
"By the way, do those relatives from the hometown still trouble you? I don't know how they are doing. Grandma should have had an operation, right?"
Leila asked about the Hellers.
"They came over last time to try to reconcile. After that, they didn't come back. Probably they felt embarrassed. And the trending topic had long been replaced by a new one. Since it went out of sight and would not have too much impact on them anymore, of course, they would not come back."
Teresa didn't know it was Hubert who helped her out of the trouble. She thought the Hellers were too embarrassed to come back.
Leila put her mind at ease.
In the evening, after dinner, Leila hurried Teresa home. Gwendolyn didn't want to go back to face her mother, who was as mean as Snow White's stepmother. So, she followed Teresa to Florence Garden and visited Teresa's current home.
"Teresa, your home with Mr. Donovan is so spacious and light. I like this balcony the most. It's so relaxing to sit on the swing chair while reading a book or enjoying the flowers. If you set up a small coffee table in front of the swing chair, you can have a cup of tea and feel more comfortable."
Teresa laughed, "Your proposal is good. I will go tomorrow to buy a smaller coffee table back to place here."
"A small portion of these flowers were brought by me. The rest were bought by Hubert. I don't know which florist he went to. But those flowers he picked up grow so well and were big and beautiful."
Teresa was quite satisfied with Hubert's work.
"Mr. Donovan bought back the flowers? These flowers are really extremely well kept. Please ask him where he bought them. And I'll go to that florist and buy a dozen of them to put on the balcony on the second floor of my house."
Teresa agreed.
The two girls talked for a long time until after 9:00 p.m. Then Gwendolyn left.
After she left, Teresa sat down on the sofa and watched TV.
Having lived in the house for so long, she rarely turned on the TV to watch.
Since she wasn't much of a TV watcher, she didn't know what to watch. So, she simply turned it off and read some news, trending topics, and videos on her phone. Time passed quickly. When she looked at the time, it was already 11:00 at night. So, Teresa went back to her room to take a shower.
When she came out of the bathroom, she heard a knock on the door.
'Did Hubert forget his key? Or, is he drunk again?'
Teresa responded while she went to open the door.
The person standing at the door was Steven, who was holding Hubert and sent him home again. Hubert was flushed and smelled of alcohol. And it was obvious that he had drunk a lot of alcohol.
"Well, I'm the substitute driver. Your husband is drunk again. So I drove him back."
Teresa smiled, "It's you again. Thank you for bringing my husband back."
She reached out to help Hubert, but Hubert slapped her hand away and pushed Steven away as well. With a cold face, he walked past Teresa.

Teresa kept her good manners and didn't bother him. She thanked Steven again, then she closed the door and locked it. After she turned around, she saw Hubert sitting on the couch. The aura he exuded was cold and he seemed a little angry.
Who had angered him?
After a moment of silence, Teresa walked over to him and asked, "Why are you drinking again? How much did you drink?"
"It's none of your business!"
Hubert answered coldly.
Teresa's heart ached at his words.
He thought she wanted to care about him?
She was asking and concerned just because they were married.
Teresa turned around and left.
Hubert was in an even worse mood when he saw that Teresa really didn't ask any more questions and just walked away without caring about him.
"From now on, don't answer the door in your pajamas!"
Teresa walked toward the kitchen.
"I'm wearing my underwear."
Now she would only take her underwear off when she was going to sleep, lest she encountered the situation just then again and had to go open the door for him.
"My dressing seems to be none of your business, Mr. Donovan. And as I recall from the agreement, which was written by you, we should not interfere with each other's lives."
Hubert was silent with a sullen face.
The agreement was completely written for his benefit. All the rules and regulations were made for her and she was bound by them. But why did he feel he was being bounded by the agreement?
Teresa went into the kitchen and poured him a cup of warm water. After the water was less warm, she added some honey to the water and stirred it with a spoon. Then she went out with a cup of honey water.
Hubert leaned back against the sofa and did not fall asleep. Seeing Teresa come out, he still looked at her with cold eyes.
Teresa came over with the cup of honey water and put it in front of him, "I won't take it personally since you are drunk. Take this cup of honey water. Then go back to your room to wash up and go to sleep."
After saying that, she turned around and left.
A large hand reached out and grabbed her wrist. She was yanked back hard and fell into Hubert's arms off guard. Although Hubert had drunk a lot of liquor, he moved very quickly. Without giving Teresa a chance to react, he turned her around and pinned her to the couch.
Teresa only felt her head spin dizzily. When she came back to her senses, she had already been lying on the couch and pinned down by Hubert.
"Hubert, are you crazy?"
Wasn't he always afraid of her taking advantage of him?
Now he was on top of her, and their bodies were pressed together. Who was taking advantage of whom?
"Did you really go to your sister's house today?"
Hubert had been in a bad mood all afternoon as well as all evening because he had seen Teresa and Ezra having lunch together. She even passed him a dish.
He had told her countless times that she couldn't cheat on him during their marriage even if she wanted to find herself the next husband. And she just didn't listen.
She was crazy about Ezra, wasn't she!
Ezra was just a toy boy! He was three years younger than her! Did she like younger men? Was she indirectly expressing that she thought he was too old?
"I went to my sister's house."
Hubert glared hard at her.
Then he asked with an even colder look, "Teresa, I'll give you one more chance to confess."
"Confess what? I didn't do anything wrong. Hubert, what's wrong with you tonight? If you have something to say, can't you just say it frankly? Please get to the point. Don't beat about the bush. Who knows what you want to say!"
Teresa pushed Hubert, "Get up! Usually, when I touch your face, you act like I'm a pervert. What is this now? Who's taking advantage of whom now?"
