Chapter 68 Ezra's Wishful Thinking
When his family knew he had a new lover and didn't blame him, Patrick said, "Leila got fat after she had the baby. Then, I gradually lost interest in her. And Isabelle is very understanding. I believe that Isabelle is the one for me."
Penny said bluntly, "What she sees in you are your status and income. How can she like you if you're still just an ordinary employee?"
"Although Leila is vicious and has beaten you like this, honestly speaking, she has taken good care of you since she married you for so many years. And she takes good care of your family. She's been through hardship. And she knows how to manage the household well. Therefore, your lover can't compete with Leila."
Although Penny was biased toward Patrick, she was right about her judgment of Leila.
"Patrick, I don't care if you're having an affair. But if you want to marry that girl, you have to be discreet so that you won't regret it in the future."
Many people abandoned their first spouses. However, when they married their lovers, they were not as happy as they could be.

Paul and Penny remained silent.
"Patrick, don't go home for the next few days. And don't give her any money. Don't admit your fault to her. You must make her apologize to you first. You have to make her promise you that she won't do it again before you go back."
Priscila suggested, "Even if you don't divorce her now, you can't let her get you down. Otherwise, you'll be at a disadvantage in the family. You have to take control of her and not let her walk all over you."
Patrick said, "I'm definitely not going back in the next few days."
Since Leila wouldn't cook for him, he planned to stay at his parents' house to recuperate and eat delicious food for a few days. He would return to work when he recovered.

When she got home, she saw that her son was still asleep. Then she rushed to get ice to put on her face. She straightened herself up because she was afraid her son would be shocked when he woke up.
A lot of hair fell out on the floor because Patrick had pulled her hair out.
Then, she brought a broom and swept the hair off the floor.
Fortunately, she had thick hair. Although a lot of her hair was ripped out, she found that no one would notice that after she combed her hair and tied it back up.
Teresa didn't know that her brother-in-law had beaten her sister after she left. And they had a big fight.
After she left Leila's apartment, she went to the pedestrian mall and wanted to buy suits and ties for Hubert.
With sizes provided by Vivian, Teresa picked out two new black outfits for Hubert, a color he liked. And she also bought two new ties. After that, she went back to the store.
When the students were out of school in the evening, the shop was busy.
Hubert arrived at around 6:00 pm.
By this time, the students went to the study hall, so the shop wasn't that busy.
Knowing that Teresa wanted to spend time with her husband, Gwendolyn laughed and said, "Teresa, just go home with Mr. Donovan. Don't keep him waiting here. I'll close the store at night."
"Thank you."
Gwendolyn smiled and said, "Don't mention it. You used to be the one who closed the store. And I felt like I had taken advantage of you. Now, I can make up for it. And I'll feel much better."
After that, Teresa picked up the clothes she'd bought, said goodbye to Gwendolyn, and walked out of the bookstore. She pulled open her car door, put the clothes on the passenger seat, and said to Hubert, "You go home first. I'll go to the market to buy groceries. You can wash rice and cook it if you know how. If you can't, I'll do it when I get back from the grocery store."
Hubert took one look at her electronic bike and said, "Where's your new car?"
"I was late when I left home. I was afraid of traffic, so I rode my electric bike."
Teresa put on her helmet and said, "I should get going."
Before Hubert could say anything, she had already left on her electronic bike.
Hubert felt speechless.
She was impulsive, which contrasted with his composure.
When he saw the outfits that Teresa had put on the passenger seat, Hubert took them, looked through them, and found those were men's clothes. Then he frowned. He wondered who she had bought those clothes for.
Then he looked at the size and saw that it was the same size as his. And those were black outfits. He wondered if she had bought them for him.
With this in mind, Hubert stopped feeling upset.
When he saw Gwendolyn coming out of the store, he nodded at her to say hello. Then, he drove off.
The moment he left, Ezra came here.
Gwendolyn was taken aback the moment she saw her cousin. She reached out as she pulled the beard on Ezra's chin and said, "Ezra, I haven't seen you in a while. Why have you grown a beard? You better shave your beard. You are so young. Don't grow a beard. You look old like this."
"Have you been very busy and tired lately? You look haggard and tired. It's good that you're working hard, but don't work too hard. It's important that you keep healthy. You have to take care of yourself."
"I'm fine. I'm a little busy at work."
Actually, Ezra grew a beard for Teresa. And his beard hadn't grown too long. However, his face was usually clean and neat. That was why Gwendolyn made a fuss when she saw him suddenly growing a beard.
"Gwen, isn't Teresa here?"
Ezra asked her in a casual tone when he saw that his cousin was the only one in the store.
"Teresa went home early to cook dinner for her husband, because she wanted to thank him for helping her out so much. Are you looking for Teresa for something? You can tell me. Then I'll tell Teresa."
"No, I'm just asking. Teresa said she was going to treat me. I don't know when she's going to keep her promise."
Gwendolyn laughed as she said, "She knows you so well. I'll have her order you a take-out. That'll be her treat to you."
Ezra felt speechless.
He wanted to eat alone with Teresa.
"Gwen, Teresa and her husband were married in a flash. Do you think their marriage will last for a long time?"
Teresa was the first woman that ever made Ezra's heart skip a beat. Although Ezra was a few years younger than Teresa, he was sure that he could take care of Teresa. He was very upset when he heard Teresa get married. However, he couldn't let go of her. And he had wishful thinking. And he expected Teresa to divorce her husband.
"Although Mr. Donovan seems to be indifferent, he treats Teresa very well. And they are supposed to have chemistry after spending a lot of time together. If they really can't get along with each other, they'll divorce after six months. And they have signed an agreement."
