Chapter 2
After Diana Swift said, the car became silent again, and the atmosphere in the back seat became weird.
The driver did not dare to say anything and looked straight ahead. After driving Bonnie Smith to Star Park, he drove to the Moonshadow Mansion, where located in the north of the city.
Tonight, the night sky has been washed by rain, and it is extraordinarily blat. Bentley was speeding on the viaduct, and along the way, Diana Swift and Josh Hunter didn't say a word.
The thirteenth building of Moonshadow Mansion is the wedding room of Diana Swift and Josh Hunter, and the two have been living here since they married.
When they opened the door, what they saw was the neat and tidy furniture, the ceiling light was bright, and there was no dust on the wooden partition at the entrance.
Josh Hunter looked around and said, "Haven't you lived here recently?" Although he was asking, it was more like a statement.
"Yeah. Because I always stay with boys at night."
Diana Swift leaned against the wall with her arms around, her voice was leisurely and tender.
Josh Hunter was quietly looked at her.
Looking at his reaction, Diana Swift thought that was interesting. She tilted her head to look at him, just stared at him.
He was always like this. Whatever she did, someone would report to him on time, and he still asked her if she lived in this house. They haven't seen each other for two years, didn't he think such a polite greeting was superfluous and ridiculous?
The two looked at each other for a few seconds, and at last, Josh Hunter looked away first. He hated talking about meaningless topics, especially with his wife who is not that clever.
The room may have been empty for too long, and the automatic thermostat didn't work.
Josh Hunter went up to the second floor while unbuttoning his clothes. Diana Swift just watched from the distance. She kicked off her high heels and snorted softly.
Although they weren't close to each other, they still slept in one room. The master bedroom on the second floor was spacious and has a door that led to a walk-in closet, which was bigger.
When Diana Swift entered the bedroom, Josh Hunter just pushed the door of the cloakroom.
The cloakroom took up a lot of space, with the display stand for watches and jewelry in the center, when the searchlight was on, the entire wardrobe was shining.
Josh Hunter stood at the door, put his hands in his pockets, and didn't move for a while.
Diana Swift didn't stand his side either, standing in front of the full-length mirror in the bedroom to untie her dress.
Josh Hunter suddenly shouted, "Diana."
"Huh?" She looked at him in the mirror.
"Please put them in the right place."
Josh Hunter turned sideways, leaving a lot of space for her. He pulled the tie from one side, and the collar was slightly wrinkled, and he frowned too.
Only then did Diana Swift see that there were gift bags and boxes all over the floor in the cloakroom, and people were difficult to stand.
She was surprised too and stepped forward to pick up the bags near the door. She looked at the bags and then finally remembered who sent these, "These are from the sponsors. I didn't think there would be so many gifts."
After Josh Hunter went to Australia, she traveled abroad most of the time. And when she returned to P City, she lived in an apartment downtown.
The address she gave the sponsors is Moonshadow Mansion, and she didn't change it, because she thought it was inconvenient. So they kept sending gifts here.
The housekeeper had called her and asked her how to deal with these things. But she was busy with other things at the time, so she casually said that it would be fine to put them in the cloakroom. And now she didn't expect there were so many piling up here.
"I don't know it would be that much, I'm sorry, I'll put them away right now."
Although Diana Swift said that she felt sorry, he didn't think she was really sorry, not to mention that she would put them in order.
She even took out a shawl from the box curiously. She looked at it and thought, "This shawl is too thick. I can take it when I go to the Antarctic and put it on the penguin."
Josh Hunter was almost out of patience. He looked at her impassively, and he no longer spoke to her in a soft voice, "Put your things away, I need to get my pajamas."
Diana Swift was stunned, and looked up at him, stared at him for a few seconds, and suddenly smiled, "Mr. Hunter, please be patient!"
She loosened her hands, and then the shawl covered her thin ankle. In the next moment, she stuck out her tiptoe, and slowly moved up along his ankle to his calf and gently rubbed.
Her behavior was more like provoking him.
Josh Hunter just stared at her, then he said, "If you can't wait, you can say it directly."
Her smile disappeared immediately. She turned around and kicked away the gifts in the cloakroom, and pulled out the pajamas from the closet. She crumpled it into a ball and threw it into Josh Hunter's arms, like throwing some non-recyclable garbage.
Josh Hunter took the pajamas and was in no hurry to take a shower.
He pondered for a moment, then asked, "Diana, do you have any dissatisfaction with me? Can we talk about it?"
It was just a moment, he has come down and become gentle again.
Diana Swift mocked him, "You want to know my thoughts?."
Three days ago, Diana Swift saw Zhao Yang posting a Moments.
There were only four words in those Moments, which was 'Welcome back!', and a picture, Nathan Jones and Rein Garcia were in the picture, but in the dark corner, Josh Hunter's platinum watch, which was on his wrist could be seen.
The platinum watch was a wedding gift given to them by the elders of the Hunter family. The dial of Josh Hunter's was the little prince, and hers was a rose. It was a private order of a high-end brand and it was unique in the world.
That was to say, he has returned to China for at least three days.
For three days, he didn't even send her a message, he just went straight to the X City with his friends.
If it wasn't for her to know that his previous relationships and his behavior in bed, she would consider that she was deceived and married a gay.
After listening to Diana Swift's complaints, Josh Hunter finally understood why she was picky about him tonight.
He thought for a while and said, "I thought that in our relationship, you have no interest in my schedule. But if you are interested, I can ask my assistant to report it to you every day."
Diana Swift was speechless at that moment.
What the hell? Why did his words sound so harsh? And did he just feel pity for her to be alone?
Diana Swift felt that she was attacked, and wanted to curse him. However, she seemed to think of something and kept telling herself that she need to calm down, and forced herself to close her eyes.
Diana Swift was born this way, pretty and charming, she only wore light makeup to attend the gala. At this moment, standing under the corridor lamp, her red lips were pursed into a straight line, and her whole face looked bright and clear.
Having known her for nearly 20 years, Josh Hunter never like her usual style, but he never denied that she was beautiful since she was a child.
Men always like beauty. Seeing that she was so angry, Josh Hunter took the initiative to take a step back, "Fine, it is my fault this time."
"What! You do that a lot!"
She was no longer angry but was annoyed again by what he just said.
Their marriage was a choice to maximize the interests of the families of both parties. Although for both of them, the marriage partner was not the one they likes, the children born in this kind of family have the self-consciousness that they couldn't choose their marriage. After all, freedom was less important than interest and status.
In the matter of marriage, both Diana Swift and Josh Hunter cooperated very well, and they both tried to keep their marriage as perfect as possible.
"You are back without telling me, and how could you accompany Laura Brown to the gala which I attend too! And you still auctioned the necklace for Laura Brown and didn't tell me in advance, that embarrassed me! Do you want to tell the world that our marriage is fake?!"
Diana Swift spoke louder and louder.
Josh Hunter rubbed his eyebrows as if he thought she was noisy and was unwilling to explain, "I was having a meal with Rex Mill in the afternoon, and he was busy, so I just doing him a favor. Laura Brown is over forty, so no one should think that I am going to embarrass you at the gala. What's more, I didn't know you would also attend this gala."
After he said so, Diana Swift could be sure that Josh Hunter didn't care about her at all.
This was probably what Diana Swift hated most about Josh Hunter. He didn't take anyone or anything in his eyes. He was always calm and rational about everything, or it could be said that he was an indifferent person.
On the contrary, she was charming and loved by everyone, and hated others ignoring her.
The topic ended without a hitch. When taking a bath, Diana Swift closed her eyes and thought: If she can end up in this kind of marriage, she would rather be single for five years.
After spending two hours in the bathroom, Diana Swift finally walked out.
She was so delicate that she has to finish her daily skincare routines in time.
Before going to A Country, Josh Hunter has lived with her for a while and already knew her habits. He knew that she is an extremely delicate woman who was obsessed with skincare.
At this moment, Diana Swift was dressed in a smog blue silk suspender nightdress, with bare arms and calves, she is slender.
The long, black and shiny curly hair was fluffy and soft after drying, and when she walked without having shoes, the ends of her hair just dangle and her dress keep swaying. And she came out with the mist from the bathroom, which made her look so charming.
Josh Hunter had seen her. Probably she was too charming, he looked at her again.
"What are you looking at?"
Josh Hunter chuckled but didn't answer.
Diana Swift somehow felt nervous, so she kept staring at him. She sat down along the side and put her legs on the bed one by one. Seeing that he didn't move, she pulled the quilt and lay down, and covered her body, only could see her cute head.
She said, "Just turn off the lights, I'm going to sleep."
Josh Hunter didn't say much and turned off the floor lamp as she said.
In the darkness, their breathing was one after the other, and after a while, they were assimilated into the same frequency, quiet and neat.
They hadn't slept together for two years, and Diana Swift was not used to it. She kept turning over, and always felt that something was wrong.
But Josh Hunter didn't. After he lay down, he didn't move.
There is a light woody aroma in the air, probably it is fir, the smell of fir on a cloudy day.
When she was about to fall asleep, Diana Swift suddenly felt that someone was approaching her. When she opened her eyes, Josh Hunter had already covered her, with his arms propped by her side.
At night, the light was dim, and all she could see was the shadow in front of her. She could vaguely see Josh Hunter's deep jawline, and when she looked down, his Adam's apple rolled indistinctly. And when she looked up, Diana Swift could know that he got the feeling.
They haven't had sex for so long, that Diana Swift couldn't react in time. And she didn't realize what would happen until her strap slipped.
The moonlight outside the window was like water, swaying clearly, and the unpleasantness before was temporarily stranded by the water.
