Chapter 64 Rebellious Bird, Gorgeous Cage
The next morning, when arriving at the Smith's house, Jane gave Sam a beautifully packaged box and said, "Sam, Mr. Smith did me a favor the other day, and I brought him a cake."
Sam didn't know what to do, saying, "Mr. Smith is not in S City now. He left last night, and it may take a few days to come back."
Jane smiled, "I see, then I'll take it to Justin."
Sam nodded with a smile.
Justin kept his words. Today, when hearing Jane's footsteps, he sat up and leaned against the head of the bed, only half awake.
Jane put the cake on the table and said, "Get up for breakfast."
Justin opened his eyes a little, saw the cake box, and whispered, "I don't like cake. You must want to bribe Uncle Edward, right?"
Jane walked to the window to open the curtains, and said without turning her head, "You are right. I originally bought it for your Uncle Edward, but I just found out that he's not at home."
Justin was very sleepy, but he couldn't help but snorted, "You gave me what Uncle Edward didn't want. Do you treat me as a second-hand recycling center?"
Jane took out two lunch boxes from her bag and opened the lids. There was a layer of jujube cake inside. She said, "Bringing the cake for your Uncle Edward is a courtesy, and bringing you the jujube cake is purely for friendship. Hurry up. There's also a 'soup of immortality'."
Fifteen minutes later, Jane sat at the table with Justin, who had just rejected the sandwich and milk, with a lunch box in front of each of them. Jane drank hawthorn and brown sugar juice from the thermos, and Justin drank it from a cup. Neither of them spoke. She was enjoying the tranquility, and he just got up too early and hadn't been fully awake.
Suddenly, she laughed.
Justin slowly turned his head and asked, "Why are you laughing?"
Jane shook her head, thinking that she must not let Justin know the food function of what he was eating and drinking. Otherwise, with his bad temper, it should be a childhood trauma for him. Maybe even jujube and hawthorn would be blacklisted in the future.
She always wanted to say thank you to Edward in person, but it would take several days for him to come back. From Monday to Thursday, there were always only Justin and her at the dinner table at noon.
...
On Thursday afternoon, the Perez family sent a car to pick her up. After Jane arrived, she saw Rachel sitting on the sofa, and politely nodded in greeting.
Rachel got up and said, "Henry is in his room."
She took Jane to his room, stood in front of a certain door, and knocked, "Henry, the tutor is here."
A few seconds later, a teenager's voice came from the door, "Come in."
Rachel opened the door and walked in. Henry was sitting at the table and playing with Lego which was a dark castle on a large scale. Two-fifths of the foundation had been finished, and some small fortresses had already been built. Jane was about to say it was amazing, but she heard Rachel say, "You're playing with these time-wasting things again. It must be secretly bought by your elder brother."
Henry didn't turn his head and they couldn't see his expression.
Rachel said, "Hurry up and get prepared. Don't waste time."
Henry kicked his leg, and the chair with wheels suddenly moved back. He turned around and said with a poker face, "Go out. I'll have classes."
As soon as he was unhappy, Rachel immediately coaxed, "What do you want to eat? I'll have someone prepare it for you."
Henry said with a long face, "I don't want to eat."
Rachel said gently, "Mommy get you ice cream."
Henry was very irritable, but before he could refuse, Rachel had already turned around and gone out.
There were only Jane and him in the room. She said in a low voice, "The castle is cool."

Henry looked up at her, "You play with Lego too?"
Jane said, "I haven't, but I have seen great work. Yours is awesome."
Henry didn't say anything. Rachel came back shortly after, followed by a maid. Rachel put a large box of ice cream on Henry's hand, who was not moving, while the maid put down various snacks and fruits in batches.
Although they were going to have catch-up classes, those who didn't know would think that they were going to have dinner soon.
Henry took a breath and controlled his anxiety, "Can you go out?"
Rachel said dotingly, "Call me if you need anything. Study hard."
When she stepped out, Henry stood up to close the door, and Rachel subconsciously reached out against the door, "Don't close the door. The air circulation is not good."
Jane watched from the side, feeling that Henry's anger had reached his lips, so she agreed, "Indeed, the oxygen consumption of the brain in learning is large."
In terms of lying through her teeth, she was number one.
Henry snorted again, and Rachel also knew that he was dissatisfied, so she took the opportunity and turned to leave.
Standing at the door without moving, Henry wanted to slam the door with all his strength. Once such a thought appeared, it would never go away, but all of a sudden, Jane spoke first. She still said in a low voice, "Please don't slam the door, otherwise today would be the first time and also the last time that I came to your house."
Henry was very curious about how Jane guessed what he was thinking, and turned to look at her, saying in an unfriendly way, "You're with my mother."
Jane shushed him with a forefinger to the lips and gestured for him to sit down to chat.
Henry didn't know whether it was due to curiosity or obsession, but he did listen to her. They sat at the table and Jane said in a low voice, "Given the fact that 'no discord, no concord', please do me a favor, don't be angry with your mother today, or I'll be embarrassed."
Henry didn't want to lose his temper either, but his mother...
He took a deep breath, feeling helpless. His teenage face was full of boredom that did not match his age. Similarly, this was also the iconic rebellion of this age. It seemed that he lived in his own world, and any contact with the outside world was a disturbance.
Jane said in a low voice, "Think about happy things. Your tutor throws darts well, and she can also play the King of Fighters with you. Isn't it good?"
Henry couldn't stand her low voice. He frowned slightly and said, "We didn't do anything wrong. Why daren't we speak loudly? We are like thieves. Is it good? Are we learning or in prison?"
Jane said, "Whose childhood is not the same as going to jail? You can still play with Lego. Have you ever seen anyone half-killed for building blocks?"
Henry couldn't agree, but at the same time was curious, "Who?
You?"
Jane replied with a look of superiority, "Do I look like the kind of person who likes to play with building blocks? I always went out to play with the sand, and got beaten by my mother for being dirty when I got home."
Henry was about to ask what game playing with the sand was when Jane suddenly winked. He looked sideways at the door and saw no one at the door, but a shadowy figure.
Jane changed her tone in seconds and said seriously, "Take out the textbook. What have you been learning?"
Henry put the high school physics book that was almost brand new on the table, and at the same time, picked up a box of ice cream and threw it on the ground at the door, which shocked that the shadow instantly retreated.
Jane said, "Don't scare people."
With a long face, Henry felt angry for being watched and felt suffocated because he couldn't get rid of it. This was not the first time, but he still couldn't be completely numb.
