Chapter 20 I'm Going to Do Something Bad

Chapter 20 I'm Going to Do Something Bad
Luke drove Wrangler out of Clovervale Residence and steered onto the road.
Natalie sat in the car and looked out the window peacefully, but she kept thinking about what he said.
- Could it be my turn?
It seemed like he was willing to be her back-up.
His voice was pleasant, though he was surly. When he looked at her, no matter how insipid his words sounded, she could feel his love.
But how could she take it seriously? He was only joking.
It was a rare good day in winter.
The sun shone into the car, beaming down on them. The windows on both sides were airtight, and it was very stuffy sitting in the car.
Wearing five clothes, Natalie felt so sweltering, holding her chin by the window like a small flower wilting in the sun.
Suddenly, the car window was lowered to the bottom.
In an instant, a cool breeze came in the car, blowing a few strands of her long hair up.
Breathing the fresh air, Natalie felt relieved.
She frowned and looked back at Luke, who opened the window for her.
"Well, I still have to serve you while I'm driving" Luke put his hands on the steering wheel and looked at the road ahead without squinting, as if he hadn't done anything just now, "Take care of yourself, Natalie."
Natalie was indebted, but Luke was so arrogant that he easily turned away anyone else's kindness when he spoke.
It was almost as if he put up a notice forbidding him to be labeled as a nice guy by others.
"Won't it be a little cold for you?" Natalie stubbornly said.
Luke smiled, "Well, do I need to be grateful?"
"... no, I don't think so."
Natalie murmured and sat back upright. After talking with him, she became less restrained. With some hesitation, Natalie took off her thick cashmere jacket, folded it on her lap, and turned her face to look at the scenery outside the window.
Natalie was distracted before. She realized only now that Luke had somehow driven onto the coastal road at some point.
There was not much cloud in the sky and it was bright azure. The sea was as blue as silk waves, and she was surprised to see this.
Natalie said cheerfully, "Where are we going?"
"Don't you think it's too late asking now?" Luke smiled, squinting at Natalie inadvertently.
She was wearing white clothes with red embroidery, took a pleated skirt under the skirt, her legs also were very pretty, and the pair of short boots she was wearing was also so cute.
When she looked out with her hands by the window, her long hair was blown by the wind to the back of her neck, showing the soft outline of her side face.
Luke looked at her for two seconds and then looked away without a trace.
Luke had a look at Facebook yesterday. What impressed him was that several people commented that Natalie was the sweetest girl in the world.
Luke thought, "Well, she is pretty sweet if she looks like this now."
Natalie was surprised that Luke didn't take her to some high-end restaurant but drove an hour away and parked near the beach.
He got out of the car, but Natalie hesitated in her seat.
Luke walked to the co-pilot, rested his arms on the window, leaned over, and looked at her, "Are you afraid I'll do something evil to you??"
"... no." Natalie looked at him from the car window.
"Then why are you afraid to get out of the car?" He laughed.
Natalie looked behind him at the sea and sky; the sea was really beautiful.
"I'm afraid you're going to do something bad." She said directly.
It was windy there. Luke's shirt was bulging in the wind, and his short hair was slightly tousled, "I do have that idea."
He smiled, "Do you still want to come with me?"
Natalie was young, but she was not insensitive to the situation; otherwise, she would not have to deliberately keep away from Luke after getting to know him for the first few times.
She wanted a quiet and stable life, but Luke was the exact opposite. He could do whatever he wanted without any worries, and he could always be frank when he was flirting, which made her feel like she had a crush on him for no reason, and she was uneasy.
They were not the people in the same world.
It would be better for them not to communicate with each other.
But Natalie was not always so calm, or, on one occasion, she did worried about it.
It's just that she was very good at hiding her emotions.
For example, Natalie took her small bag, pushed open the car door, and stepped out, blushing, but she managed to be serious, "I have turned on the localization on my phone; you better not do weird things."
Luke pouted and walked forward.
Natalie followed him step by step for a while, and suddenly he asked casually, "Why do you think I would do that?"
"..."
Natalie held her coat. She didn't want to talk about it. After a short silence, she couldn't help but answer, "You asked me to go to your room."
Turning his head sideways with an incomprehensible expression, Luke said, "What are you thinking? Natalie, can you hear me out?"
Natalie stepped on the soft white sand one step after another, looked down, and did not speak.
The fact that she ran away was not entirely because of a misunderstanding.
Luke didn't care much about what others thought of him, but he didn't know why he wanted so much to explain it to her at the time. After some explanations, he asked her, "Are you clear now??"
He said to her like an elder disciplining a junior.
Natalie knew that she was wrong and reluctantly whispered, "Yes."
"That's it? Don't you even apologize?"
He was annoyed now; Natalie rolled her eyes behind him, "Shall I kowtow to you?"
He laughed and nodded, "I think that's a good idea."
"..."
She was speechless to him now!
They walked out about five hundred meters and saw a gray and white house by the sea; It looked like a unique designed museum.
There were all kinds of logos on the door, and if Luke hadn't led her in, it would be hard to imagine that this would be a restaurant.
"Did you head the wrong way?" Natalie followed him up, looking around suspiciously.
Luke pulled the door open, "Is that possible?"
"It's very private here." Natalie couldn't tell how this place looked like a restaurant.
"Well." He looked back and smiled, "It's private enough for me to do something evil."
"..."
Natalie thought with a sigh, "Why does Luke always ruin the atmosphere like this?"
The house was very bright and spacious, and as soon as she entered the door, Natalie could take a look at the set, and suddenly, a huge animal rushed toward her.
Natalie realized it was a shepherd dog, and it swiftly rushed right in front of Natalie.
"Ah-" Natalie jumped up in shock, throwing away her coat subconsciously, she grabbed Luke's arm and ducked behind him.
Luke was dragged back two steps by her, and his coat was pulled off his shoulders.
Natalie hid behind him, and he could imagine her posture at that time, clinging to him weakly like a pendant and holding him tight constantly.
If it wasn't for her screaming forlornly, it would be a trick of seducing at midnight.
The clothes he wore were thin fabric and the uneven breath behind him reached through the fabric to his skin.
Luke stood still, letting her tug at him.
"Why are you scared?" He smiled faintly, "It's more docile than you."

Natalie was a little scared and didn't wanna argue with him, so she buried her face in his back and asked in a sobbing voice, "Is it gone?"
"Just take a look," Luke answered indifferently.
Natalie whispered, not even daring to look.
Luke let out a whistle, and he laughed calmly, "Ten."
Natalie hesitated.
When he called "Ten", it was particularly gentle; she could feel the intimacy between the two of them. Because he was dragged by her, his waist could only be bent slightly as he petted Ten.
Natalie pressed his face against his sleek coat and breathed in the soapy scent on his clothes, and there was the faint smell of the cigarette belonging to him.
Slowly, Natalie calmed down and peeked behind him.
This shepherd dog was docile, squatting in front of Luke, wagging its tail constantly, showing its tongue out.
But Natalie still felt scared.
It was too big with sharp teeth, erect ears, and bright black hair mixed with dark brown, making it look like a fierce wolf.
"Will it bite?" Natalie asked timidly, utterly startled.
Luke looked at her under his arm and smiled, "It won't bite you even if you bite it."
"..."
"But it's hard to tell if you bite me."
"Why would I bite you?" Natalie said in a soft voice, fearing that the noise would disturb the shepherd dog, and then wondered, "Why can't I bite you?"
"Try?" He stretched out his wrist with a sly smile.
Natalie glared at him; she wanted to walk away without looking back. But she was worried that if she did walk away, she would become a target for the shepherd dog, and it was safer to be around Luke.
"It," Luke said.
Natalie looked at him in shock, then turned away, "Never."
She looked so cowardly.
Luke said smugly, "Why don't you like cute creatures?"
"Who says I don't like it?"
"Hmm?"
"I like to eat hot and sour fish, roast duck, and steak."
She liked this; Luke looked down and smiled.
As of today, he knew about Natalie. She was a very simple girl, with a simple temper and a simple mind. She was like a little girl who was always brave and never quit.
She was also occasionally naughty and cute, especially when she argued with him.
"Luke?" A cheerful voice sounded.
Natalie looked up and found a woman was helping an old lady go downstairs. The lady was wearing a pair of reading glasses with her gray hair, and she looked fifty years old.
"Raine," Luke responded with a smile.
The shepherd dog named Ten ran over to Raine. Raine was surprised when she saw Natalie. She walked over and petted Ten's head lightly to prevent it from running.
"Little girl, Are you scared??"
Her tone was too soft. Natalie faltered and didn't know what to say.
"Let Ten go back to her cage; she's timid." Luke took two steps forward, picked up the coat Natalie had thrown on the ground, patted it, and put it on his arm.
Natalie was a well-bred girl, and she didn't need to be reminded. So, she took the initiative to say obediently, "Sorry for the trouble."
Raine was very kind, and she said gently to comfort Natalie. After temporarily bringing Ten to the storage room on the first floor, Raine went back and asked them if they had taken some food.
Luke held Natalie's coat with one hand, pocketed the other, and said, "We came here particularly to try your food."
"Is the girl abstain from certain food?" Raine was very considerate, looking very happy to have them over as guests.
Natalie was not clear about the situation, so she waved her hand, "I'm not a picky eater, thank you."
Luke took Natalie to the terrace.
It seemed like a small heavenly garden, planted with all kinds of bright flowers; there was a square table next to the glass guardrail, covered with a white tablecloth, they went upstairs to the terrace, and the scenery was Breath-taking beautiful.
"Put it on; it's a little cold here." Luke raised his arm lightly.
He tried to help her with her coat, and for a moment, they thought it was the same as carrying a bag for a girlfriend.
Suddenly, Natalie put the jacket back into her arms, her ears reddened with embarrassment, "... Thank you."
Luke pulled out the chair and sat down, leaning lazily against the back of the chair; he looked at the sea and she didn't know what he was thinking.
He was very quiet without too much expression on his face.
Strangely, Natalie couldn't help but think of him smoking at night when he was just as sluggish as he was now.
There was some depression on his face.
Natalie put on her cashmere coat, sat opposite him, thought for a long time, and couldn't help asking, "Who is she to you?"
"Huh?" Luke looked back, took out a cigarette case, and pulled out a cigarette as if to misinterpret her intentions. With a cigarette between his lips, he said, "Ten? She was a comrade who retired with me."
It turned out that Ten was the military dog that used to follow him.
No wonder he said earlier that it would be dangerous if she bit him; loyal military dogs were to protect their masters.
Natalie leaned forward against the table, resting her chin in her hands, watching him pop open the metal cap of the lighter and light a cigarette.
"What about Raine?"
With that, Natalie regretted it at the time.
She shouldn't be curious about him.
Once a start had been made, it seemed that it was difficult to end. Just like this day, she couldn't resist her desire to know about him and tried to find out more about his past.
She could never take back what had been said.
It was silence for a while, Luke slowly exhaled a puff of smoke, and the blue-white smoke dissipated in the air instantly, and Natalie saw him smile.
"At ten o'clock behind you."
When Natalie looked back, Luke spoke faintly behind her, "Have you seen that sunken ship?"
Natalie said, "Yes."
There was a broken and scrapped merchant ship sunken by the coast.
"I have a comrade-in-arms who died on that ship a few years ago on a mission. Raine is his mother."
The wind carried his words into Natalie's ears.
"If it wasn't for my family, I wouldn't have retired."
At this moment, Natalie suddenly became very depressed; she grew a little heavy and softly said, "Retire or not; you are all great."
Luke only smoked his cigarette twice, stopped it, pinched the cigarette, and the smoke dispersed with the wind.
He looked at her and smiled suddenly.
"You are great, Dr. Moore."
Although everyone said Luke was ruthless and mischievous, Natalie found that he did smile a lot.
But when he smiled, it was as if he was trying to hide something, making it impossible for people to guess his true emotions.
Natalie held her face and looked down, recalling how excited Ten was when they entered.
After a while, Natalie said, "You should let Ten out."
"Come on; you're such a wuss." Luke held his arms back on the chair, leaning shyly with a smile, "How can you be my girlfriend if you act like this?"
Natalie instantly recalled that he saw the Facebook comments.
"I'm not your girlfriend!" Natalie suddenly blushed; she glanced away shyly and muttered in discontent, "Why don't you clarify it? They all misunderstood it..."
"What if I don't?" His last two words were almost inaudible.
Luke bit the butt into his mouth, leaned forward, approached her, and said softly.
With a smile, he asked, "Would it be a miserable thing for you to be with me?"
