Chapter 23
When Aaron went to the bathroom, Yolanda opened Weibo to quickly browse comments and private messages.
She had heard some culture of the entertainment industry from Phoebe, and then she was literally subject to the bloodshed.
Almost tens of thousands of comments and private messages were scolding her.
Some tried to find her true identity, some asked her to give powerful evidence and others were bystanders.
The funniest part was that Yolanda saw the statement from James's brokerage released on 8 a.m.--
"We reserve the right to prosecute anyone who makes false statements."
Prosecute?
For what?
He still wanted to prosecute?
He may think that he was not popular enough and wanted to make something to make himself more popular.
Yolanda used to be the daughter of the richest person in Darlington but was kicked by him after he went bankrupt. She really didn't want to mention it in public, but if James didn't care, she was certainly not afraid of it.
Yolanda checked private messages for a while and was about to stop checking, but a private message caught her attention.
[Hello sister, are you also cheated by James? I'm his fan. I fell love with him in March last year, and then in June, I found him dating with xx. He's such a bastard. I admire your guts to speak out, but I'm too scared to fight against him in public. If you need to expose the message, please cover my profile with mosaics. Good luck, and I hope the bastard die as soon as quickly.]
The chat records and photos sent by this ID made Yolanda silly directly.
Last March? She had just been with James for two months!
She thought she was cheated by Flora Cohen, but maybe she was just one of his girlfriends.
Yolanda was so angry that she immediately forwarded the screenshot to Phoebe: [A netizen sent it to me. Can you imagine he is such a scumbag?]
Phoebe: [Oh My God. What should we do now? His company has made statements which says you are spreading rumors.]
In such a situation, why he still tried to frame me?
Yolanda was enraged and immediately posted the private message and photos from that netizen after covering her profile with mosaics in response to the agency's statement:
[Why did you hurry to dispel the rumor? Won't you afraid to be hitting facing the truth?]
When Aaron came out of the bathroom, he saw Yolanda pressing something on her phone with her head down, as if she were chatting with someone.
Maybe the second man she wanted to date with.
He paused and wanted to ask, but after thinking, he swallowed the words.
Now that you've found a right position, and then stop asking about her personal life.
She's an adult. She has the right to make friends. She has her own social freedom.
Aaron raised his eyebrows and came out pretending not to see anything. Sure enough, Yolanda hurried to put away her mobile phone.
His heart hurt somehow, but he didn't say anything.
"What do you want for lunch?"
Yolanda looked out of the window and blinked," Do you want to eat hot pot, brother?"
Aaron:?
Hot pot for lunch?
Maybe because Yolanda fought against the bastard in public, she was very excited now and wanted to have hot pot.
"Don't you like that place?" Yolanda saw the hesitation in Aaron's eyes, "Or we just eat near the company--"
"Just eat what you want. I'm OK."
"OK." Yolanda nodded excitedly. "Then I'll book seats now!"
She looked happy, just like the weather outside, pure, clean and beautiful.
But Aaron's heart was no longer pure.
The call from the police station had put him an unseen shackle.
There was a new high end hot pot restaurant near the company, which had a pleasant dining environment and was not far, so Yolanda happily booked a booth.
They did not drive but walk directly to the restaurant. Maybe because it was noon, there were not many people in the restaurant. Yolanda and Aaron sat opposite each other.
"Brother, what kind of flavor do we eat?"
"Suit yourself."
"Well, then I want tomato flavor. I don't like spicy." Yolanda ordered with iPad." What do you want to eat, brother? The special dish is crystal shrimp. Do you want it?"
After a long while, Yolanda didn't hear Aaron's response. She looked up and found him looking at her.
"?" She reached out and waved in front of him, "What are you looking at?"
Aaron gained his senses, looked away, and said, "Just order whatever you want. I'll go out and smoke a cigarette."
Yolanda frowned and felt something was wrong with Aaron.
She ordered a few dishes and gave iPad back to the waitress. Then she sat alone.
Bored, she took out her phone and checked.
With powerful evidence, the post had already been forwarded by entertainment bloggers, and several hot searches related to James had emerged.
Yolanda could tell that James was not calm anymore.
Because she received a private message from a person who identified herself as a staff at James's brokerage. Her tone was particularly polite, hoping to meet and communicate with her.
Yolanda finally felt the fun about torturing the bastard. She turned her lips up, replied "No way", and then blocked her.
She turned off her phone and Aaron was back.
Yolanda raised around the table and sat down next to him, asking solicitously: "What's wrong with you, brother? You're OK in the morning, why you look unhappy now?"
"Do I? "Aaron's eyes fell on Yolanda's face.
She was looking at him carefully, even a little seriously, as if she cared about him.
However, he didn't know how long he could still keep her innocent and cute look.
Aaron knew clearly what it meant if she got back the phone.
He treated Yolanda as his sister, just hoping that she could resume her memory as soon as possible, remember her families and leave Jensen family, giving freedom back to him.
But now Aaron was the man who was immersed in his own plan.
He regretted.
Yolanda knew nothing about that and keeping asking, "What happened to you?"
Aaron shook his head," Nothing. I just didn't sleep well last night."
Aaron was extremely thoughtful, and few people could take what he was thinking. Yolanda was silent for a while and took out her mobile phone, trying to arouse his interest: "Brother, why don't we take a picture? We have never taken a picture together."
Aaron was slightly stunned.
He couldn't understand the significance of Yolanda's sudden action.
What was God implying?
A farewell memorial?
Before he could react, Yolanda opened the front camera and raised her phone to themselves:
"Brother, look here."
As soon as she finished speaking, a waiter in the hallway shouted, "Excuse me, here comes the hot pot!"
Yolanda sat outside their seat and was taking a selfie with her phone, so her elbows were out of the seat.
The bottom of hot pot was boiling hot soup. As Aaron saw the waiter approach, he almost reflexively reached out to hold Yolanda into his arms.
Yolanda also pressed the shooting button at that moment.
Photo recorded everything.
Yolanda: "..."
Aaron: "..."
Being hugged into his arms suddenly, Yolanda's sweet smile became a little surprised.
The camera recorded the moment.
The air seemed to stop flowing, and the sound around disappeared in a flash.
Yolanda hadn't gotten her senses. She was in Aaron's arms, and her face pressed softly against his shirt. She smelled the tobacco mixed with perfume on his body and was in a trance for several seconds.
Inexplicably, her face against his chest blushed.
Her face was so hot that her heart beat faster.
Realizing her own abnormal reaction, she suddenly withdrew, brushed her hair and tried to say something.
She was a little embarrassed and overwhelmed, so she pretended to look down at the photo.
Seeing her unnatural expression, Aaron regretted the hand that he impulsively stretched out.
He paused for a while and said coldly:" You deserve to be burned if you dance when taking photos."
Oh, that's how it is.
He hugged her because he was afraid that she would get burned...
Yolanda was inexplicably relieved and said in a low voice:" Thanks, brother."
Later, they ate very quietly. Yolanda stopped talking. Aaron did not like hot pot and ate even less.
Yolanda kept her head down, and her heart was just like the boiling and hot soup in the pot.

From the moment being hugged by Aaron, her heart remained stirred.
She was afraid to act unusually, so she had to bow her head and keep eating.
Back to the office in the afternoon, Aaron had a meeting and Yolanda stayed alone in the office. She calmed down and recalled repeatedly the moment in the hotpot restaurant.
The sudden and unexpected hug, which made her face blushed and heartbeat faster.
Yolanda's minds were in a mess. She rubbed her head and scolded herself: "He was just afraid that you would be touched by the pot. What nonsense are you thinking about?"
Yolanda forced herself to delete the image from her mind, calmed down and checked Weibo again.
Maybe due to PR's action, the hot search related to James had reduced to one.
James also posted in person and apologized sincerely that he didn't deal well with his relationship dispute in real life, which wasted public resources.
The statement was excellent, far better than the one in the morning.
Yolanda speculated that staff from Azel Group might have helped take over.
The following comments were polarized. Some said they would support James if he could behave seriously in the future, while others felt disappointed with him and decided to withdraw from his fan group.
It was a farce, starting and ending abruptly.
Yolanda knew that with Azel Group's intervention, she would not bring down James, but at least now he was hurt badly.
She was satisfied that this could have happened by accident.
Yolanda had revenged to some extent. When she was about to turn off her phone after logging out, she accidentally opened the photo album.
The photo with Aaron at noon jumped out.
When she saw it again, they were actually natural.
They just leaned together and took a photo.
She didn't know why she reacted so strongly.
Yolanda opened a beauty app and added cute stickers to the group photo.
On her head: [sister]
On Aaron's Head: [brother]
And a big love between them.
Yolanda didn't feel anything wrong. She immediately saved it as the wallpaper of her phone and sent it to Aaron with satisfaction.
[Brother, do you think this is good?]
By then, Aaron had arrived at the police station.
A police officer handed him the phone in a stowage: "I heard that the victim has memory loss? Has she recovered now?"
Aaron: "No."
"Thank you for taking care of her. There are few culprits with a sense of decency and conscience like you." The policeman said politely and left with a smile.
Aaron looked at the bag in his hand with dark eyes.
Instead of going back to the company, he went straight home. He went in the second-floor study, locked the doors, and closed all the curtains.
The room was like in a silent night.
The phone was on the desk.
Apart from a few cracks on the screen, there was little damage.
Aaron lit a cigarette and took a deep breath.
The smoke obscured the outline of the phone, but when it was all gone, the phone was still there.
Everything waited for Aaron's choice.
His hand propped up his forehead, smoke flowing through his fingers, and Aaron's brows frowned.
He was thinking, weighing and calculating.
It was like Pandora's box. No one knows whether the result is surprising or painful once it is opened.
As the cigarette drew to an end, Aaron finally reached out.
He pressed the start button.
After a few seconds, the screen illuminated.
Password required.
Aaron did not know the password.
But he guessed --
Even if someone lost his memory, his subconscious habits wouldn't change.
For example, Yolanda liked odd first, then even special arrangement.
He slowly entered 1357269.
When he Just finished pressing 9, the screen quickly unlocked and jumped to the wallpaper.
It was a photo of Yolanda.
Aaron could feel his heart skipped a beat and jumped up quickly, violently and heavily.
This was Yolanda's world, the one she had forgotten.
As long as he gave her a call, she could go back in time.
But is this what he wants?
Aaron was not sure.
He ran his fingers repeatedly across the screen, knowing that every decision he made now mattered.
It took him a long time to open up WhatsApp.
There were a lot of unread messages, and almost all of them were [Where have you been?] [Where are you?] [Are you okay?].
It was truly the WhatsApp of a person who had been missing for over a month.
Aaron had no intention of eavesdropping on her conversations, so he ignored them directly and clicked her moments.
All he wanted to know was what Yolanda was doing on the day of the accident and whether she left any records.
He wanted to peep her world selfishly first.
Yolanda didn't post many moments. Although she was rich, she didn't like to show off like Wendy.
All her special moments were about delicious food or funny movies.
Coincidentally, her first moment was posted the day before the accident.
However, she set it to be seen only to herself.
[I'm finally going to meet him after half-a-year separation. I just got the present for him and hope he'll like it then~]
The attached photo was a high luxury bag.
He?
Separation?
Aaron seemed to have figured out something, which hit him badly.
He hastily turned off WhatsApp.
He closed his eyes and got caught up in the irrational decision.
According to the moments, Yolanda actually had a boyfriend. She met him after buying her boyfriend a present and ran into the car accident.
Then she forgot everything, including her boyfriend.
The first contact in the phone directory was Dad.
That is, as long as Aaron dialed the number now, Yolanda could return to her own world and go back to that man immediately.
Holding the phone in his hand, Aaron remained silent. There were no emotions in his dark eyes, but only the fight between irrationality and reason.
The little boy clay figurine Yolanda gave him was in the box on the desk.
And their first photo she sent this afternoon.
Every minute, every second was hard to him.
In the quiet study, after a long time, Aaron gently raised his hand and flipped over the phone screen to the desk.
He looked at the black property indifferently and finally switched it off.
He then opened the locked drawer on the left side of the desk.
Thump --
The phone was thrown in the drawer.
At that moment, its fate had been decided by Aaron.
When Aaron locked the drawer again, he was so expressionless and so calm that he had never seen the truth.
As soon as he cleaned it up, Yolanda came back. After knocking outside the study, she then opened the door herself and walked in.
"Brother, what happened to you? We have agreed to get off work together. Why did you sneak back alone?"
Yolanda didn't notice anything wrong with Aaron at all, but just covered her nose a little.
She went to open the air circuit and poured water for Aaron. She talked to him as usual about how many documents she had read and how many things she had learned at the company today.
As Aaron looked at her unsuspecting back, he remembered the moments again.
What gift did she buy him?
It seemed that she loved him very much.
He must love her, too.
He must have hugged her and kissed her.
Even -- Aaron wondered if they have had sex.
Aaron didn't know what the man looked like or what he did.
But at the moment, he was jealous of the man, a man without a concrete image.
It was as if an invisible hand was holding him back. Every time he thought about it, he couldn't even breathe.
Aaron unfastened his tie and had a glass of water.
He paused for a while," Yolanda."
His voice was a bit musty, much lower than usual.
Yolanda, who was looking for the book in front of the bookshelf, got stunned and turned around.
She looked at Aaron without a word, as if she couldn't believe what she had heard.
They've been together so long, but Aaron never called her by that name.
He always called her name directly or " Hello" when he was impatient.
But just now?
Yolanda held the book and stared at Aaron. She felt that he had something to say.
He leaned back in his chair, looked her in the eye for a few seconds, then said lightly:
"If you can't remember the past, then give up."
When selfishness and greed broke through the first line, Aaron knew that only occupying instead of devotion existed in his dictionary.
"I can support you forever." He said.
