Chapter 46
The light fragrance permeated the car. Her soft body leaned over him.
Body temperature, breathing, and hands around the waist, all made the night fall in deep attachment.
Yolanda was like a small beast returned to a safe place after hunting outside, thoroughly putting away all her fangs and claws and deeply buried in Aaron's arms.
Drowsiness came over her and she gradually fell asleep in this position.
After a long time, Aaron's hand slowly made further act, wrapping Yolanda's waist.
He slowly tightened it to fully hold her.
The car drove smoothly, and the surroundings were exceptionally quiet, with only the shallow breathing of the woman in her arms.
Aaron looked down.
The receding light outside the window flickered on the side face of Yolanda, like a still picture.
The last time she fell asleep in front of him quietly was when she was playing Spot the Difference with him in the study.
At that time, they tried to adapt to each other.
Aaron did not know when his feelings began to change, whether it originated from the initial sympathy for her, or the habit of getting along with each other, or any other kind.
But it didn't matter.
He knew clearly at the moment that his feeling for Yolanda was like a man's pure likeness and desire for a woman.
No other feelings.
"Mr. Jensen." Happer was about to ask if he needed to drive into the parking lot. But he saw from the rearview mirror Aaron squeezing Yolanda's hand, holding it in his palms, gently rubbing each of her fingers.
He seemed to be playing with something he loved in a casual posture. But he looked like he was intent and serious.
Seeing this, Happer dared not to disturb. He swallowed his words back and directly drove into the parking lot of Glasgow Apartment.
After parking the car a few minutes later, he asked carefully, "Mr. Jensen, do you want me to inform Yura's brother?"
Hearing this, Aaron slowly raised his head and looked over.
This ambiguous sight made Happer feel as if he had said the wrong thing again. After thinking about it, he scolded himself for not realizing a man's possessiveness at his age.
Two men were fighting fiercely with each other for the identity of Yura's brother. What he said was like intensifying their contradictions.
So he quieted down and didn't say anything until Aaron ordered him, "Come and open the door. Keep it quite."
Then Happer cautiously walked to the back seat and opened the door. He put his hand over the door, and cooperated with Aaron to hold Yolanda in his arms and get out of the car.
Yolanda slept soundly, not knowing the whole process that Aaron held her into the elevator, went upstairs, and came back at the door.
After hearing the doorbell ringing, Marc came out to open the door. After seeing them, he was slightly stupefied. His eyes fell on Yolanda and he asked, "Is she asleep?"
Then he subconsciously reached out and said, "Let me do it."
Aaron walked past him directly and replied, "No need."
Marc was stunned in place.
Holding her in his arms, Aaron walked in. He looked around and asked, "Where is her room?"
Speechless, Marc followed behind. He paused and opened the door, saying, "Here."
Aaron walked towards her room, put her on the bed, took off her shoes and tucked her in.
He did all of these by himself without letting Marc help.
After settling down Yolanda, Aaron stood straight and suddenly saw an empty water bottle and an unopened gift box on the bedside table.
The surface of the box was wrapped with black striped brown paper with a good texture.
At this time, Marc, standing at the door, knocked to remind him, "Mr. Jensen, do you want to spend the night here with my sister?"
Aaron finally took a look at Yolanda, turned and walked out of the door. As he brushed past Marc, he spoke to Marc with disdain, "If I really want to do something, do you think you can stop me?"
After saying that, he walked out of the door in a cold manner.
Shaking his head slightly, Marc smiled and sighed in his heart for a long time,
"He is totally different from his sister."
Aaron was conceited and had a strong possessive desire for love while Rose, on the other hand, only loved the freedom and strong wine.
Love could be a condiment to her, but it was not a necessity.
It seemed that he was the person in a difficult position.
At eight o'clock the next morning, Yolanda woke up.
She was wearing the dress she wore for last night's dinner party, and could vaguely smell a little alcohol from her body.
She soon remembered what happened in the private room last night and the conversation she had with Aaron in the car later.
Yolanda wasn't drunk. She remembered every word clearly. But she was a little tipsy at that time so that she was bold enough to flirt with Aaron on purpose.
Now she was a little at a loss when she was awake.
She pondered,
"Then what happened next?
I hugged him. What was his reaction?
Did he hug me as well?"
Her mind went blank. She didn't remember anything about last night.
She thought it was ridiculous as no one would sleep while flirting.
She rubbed her hair in annoyance, got out of bed and took off her makeup to take a shower. When she was done and came out, Marc was having breakfast and watching the news.
Yolanda sat down opposite him. After hesitating for a while, she asked, "How did I get back last night?"
Marc answered without looking up, "Don't you know?"
"I was asleep…"
Marc raised her eyes and replied after a pause, "How do you think you can come back. You can't just walk back while sleeping."
She then knew she must have been taken back by someone.
Yolanda compressed her lips and tentatively asked, "I mean, was it you or him..."
"Do you think it might be me?" Marc glanced sideways at Yolanda with a speechless expression, "Your own brother can't even get you back from him, so you might as well change your last name to Jensen."
He got up, pulled up his tie on the sofa and said, "The person you like doesn't show any respect for his future brother-in-law."
Yolanda didn't react.
She seemed to picture the scene last night. Yolanda repressed her smile. It took a while for her to react. She said, "Future brother-in-law? What are you talking about? We haven't confirmed the relationship yet. Are you in such a hurry to become a family with him?"
"It doesn't matter," Marc fastened his tie and said. "Sooner or later, we will be a family."
Yolanda froze.
After breakfast, they went to the company together. On the way, Phoebe called Yolanda and told her that she had returned to the Capital. Phoebe also asked her out for a catch-up in the evening.
Phoebe was outside for a month of filming, and finally came back. Thinking she had also worked for a long time, Yolanda agreed.
The moment she went to the company, Yolanda asked Lewis to cancel the cooperation with Fox's team in charge of the clothing and make-up and look for a new partner.
After receiving the notice, Fox kept calling her, hoping to explain and apologize to her.
First of all, "The Moment in Love" was a popular novel with intellectual property, and then it was chosen by Aaron in the auction. Afterwards, it was dramatically achieved by Yolanda, an unknown new hand, which virtually won more popularity.
In addition, she had invited the teams of Dan, a famous director, and David, a well-known scriptwriter. As long as the choice of actors and the subsequent funds were not broken, this project would be bound to make a profit.
That was why Fox tried his best to make it up, but Yolanda didn't give him the chance.
Aaron had taught her to be tough sometimes in business. No one in this circle would tell you anything good.
Besides, it was Fox who had tried to push Yolanda to set a rule.
At this time, Lewis handed over some documents and said, "Here is some information about actors. Some of them are recommended by the major companies, and some are suitable candidates selected after our comprehensive analysis. Mr. Cullen also recommended some for us."
Just like choosing boys to date, Yolanda flipped through a few photos and saw several handsome men of different styles.
After a while, she asked, "Didn't Azel Group recommend any actors?"
Lewis replied, "Mr. Jensen maybe wants to avoid arousing suspicion."
Yolanda believed it was reasonable, but she wanted you Phoebe to audition a character in the script. Phoebe was a contracted actress in Azel Group, so she had to talk to them.
"Fine, I got it. You can leave now."
After Lewis left, Yolanda called Aaron.
Before the phone got through, Yolanda recalled the scene of flirting with him. She immediately drank the water to suppress her anxiety.
She thought, "It's not a big deal. Later, I just pretend nothing happened.
If he doesn't mention it, neither will I."
A few seconds later.
"Hello."
When the phone got through, the man's calm and hoarse voice came through.
With a sudden heartbeat, her mind immediately popped up with the picture of holding him last night. His breath and his temperature all spread wildly with the sound of "hello".
This memory was strong enough to overwhelm her.
As if hugging him again, Yolanda felt hot all over her body. Her thoughts were interrupted for no reason. Words failed her for a long time. Finally, she had to find an excuse and said, "It's okay. I dialed the wrong number."
When she was about to hang up the phone, Aaron suddenly called her, "Let's have dinner together tonight. I'll pick you up."
Yolanda was stunned and explained, "Phoebe is back. She asked me to catch up tonight."
Silent for a few seconds, he asked, "Where will go?"
"We haven't decided. But she wants to go to the Karaoke."
"Okay."
A few minutes later, she received a WhatsApp message from Aaron.
It was reservation information from a well-known KTV in the city and a short message: [Don't drink too much.]
All of a sudden, Yolanda felt a little sweet. She smiled and replied: [Do you want to come with me?]
Aaron: [I have something to deal with tonight.]
"Well." She thought.
Yolanda didn't bother him anymore. She forwarded the message to Phoebe: [The place for our catch-up is booked.]
Phoebe was still looking for a suitable place. Unexpectedly, Yolanda acted so quickly. She couldn't help praising: [Oh, boy. It's different when you're a boss!]

Yolanda secretly sent a screenshot of the conversation between Aaron and her to Phoebe, a hidden display of affection.
A few seconds later, Phoebe added a few words to that sentence and sent it again: [Oh, boy. It's different when you're a boss's girlfriend!]
Yolanda was speechless.
Looking at her friend's message, Yolanda couldn't help but curl her lips and later restrained herself.
His girlfriend? Aaron never said it.
Although there was something that didn't make it clear among adults, Yolanda still hoped Aaron made their relationship clear.
After all, their relationship was complicated since they were fake siblings.
But Yolanda thought as a woman, she couldn't ask him first before he said. It would be embarrassing.
Because of thinking about it, Yolanda was absent-minded for a while until the call in the office rang. Lewis told her through an outside line,
"A man named James called you."

This name woke her up immediately. She asked, "Who?"
"James."
Even though she just heard the name over the phone, Yolanda felt disgusted. She answered, "No, don't transfer it. I won't answer this person's phone."
She didn't know why James wanted to meet her and she had no interest in knowing the reason.
Then she kept working the whole day as usual. In the evening, Lewis drove Yolanda to KTV. When they arrived, Lewis said, "This is run by Mr. Jensen's friend. Sometimes, Mr. Jensen will come here for social activities. Miss Walter. Enjoy time here. People here are all friends."
Yolanda came to understand why Aaron could make a reservation for her quickly.
Suddenly, something occurred to her. She asked, "To be honest, does he call the public relation ladies when getting involved in the social activity?"
After pausing for a few seconds, Lewis replied frankly, "We will do it when the customers need it according to the situation. But Mr. Jensen never got close to those ladies."
Actually, it didn't go beyond Yolanda's expectation. After all, when she was just a strange woman for him and slept beside him once, she was almost kicked out.
Not to mention the public relations ladies outside.
It was probably Aaron who made an arrangement beforehand. After they entered, a person specially brought Yolanda to the private room. Phoebe and Charlie had already arrived. The table was full of all kinds of drinks and wine, snacks and fruits.
Everything was arranged and the receptionist left respectfully.
Then Phoebe removed the image of a female star. She said, "Oh. I can't finish these on this table for three days, right? Does Mr. Jensen try to feed us like pigs?"
Charlie looked around excitedly, "This KTV is famous in the entertainment circle. The smallest private room is at least 118 dollars per hour. Isn't it a little luxurious for three of us to use this room?"
"As I said, you're shortsighted," said Phoebe as if Charlie had never seen the world, "How could Mr. Jensen's girl use a small room for having fun outside?"
The way Phoebe addressed her made Yolanda a little embarrassed. She spoke, "Can you talk seriously? How could you say Mr. Jensen's girlfriend?"
Phoebe glanced at her and asked, "Aren't you?"
Later when Yolanda told Phoebe about the audition, she was stunned, "Mr. Cullen?"
"Yes. The one who you tried to recommend yourself to."
While Phoebe was still in shock, Yolanda said to Charlie, "Charlie, you can come to the film cast to serve them the clothing and make-up. I'll give you a good price."
Charlie had been following the small cast all the time. He didn't expect that Yolanda would offer him such an invitation. He was too excited to say anything.
Neither of them expected to just come out to sing a song, but their careers were arranged to take a big step forward.
But for Yolanda, it was gratitude that has long existed in her heart.
When she was in the most difficult time, she was accompanied by Phoebe and it was Charlie who took her in and made her ginger soup.
Raising her glass of wine, Yolanda said, "I've told you earlier that I'll lead you to a broad path. This time I will take you to the highest place and see the most beautiful scenery."
Phoebe cried unexpectedly, "I knew you would be successful. When did you lose?"
"Go for it!"
The three of them clinked glasses, and the atmosphere was lively and moving.
After that, they sang, drank and played games. When they all enjoyed themselves, Phoebe told Yolanda,
"I heard that James is living a miserable life now. He seems to have been banned by the whole industry."
Yolanda snorted, "No wonder he hates me so much."
"He can't get any audition now, don't you see? He's starting to do a live broadcast to fleece the flock."
Yolanda was about to continue when the phone suddenly rang. Glancing at it, she stood up immediately and said, "I need to go out to answer a call."
It was a call from David who wanted to talk about the script. At first, Yolanda was talking to him in the corridor, but the noise of people coming and going was loud. When she saw an empty room next door, she walked in directly.
After chatting for five or six minutes, she hung up the phone.
When she was about to go back to the private room, she turned around and saw a figure standing in front of her.
Startled, Yolanda frowned, "Why are you here?"
James shrugged and said, "I called your office more than 10 times, but you didn't answer. I have to wait for you downstairs."
All of a sudden, Yolanda realized something and asked, "Did you follow me here from the company?"
This KTV had high privacy. When a customer swiped the card to enter the back door of the private room, the door would be closed automatically, and no outsider could enter.
James must have been waiting for her in the corridor for a long time.
"I have something to tell you."
"No need," Yolanda said, walking towards the door. "We're not familiar with each other. There's nothing to talk about."
However, the door was locked by James. Yolanda tried to open it but failed after a long while. She turned around and stared at him, "What the hell are you doing?"
"What do you think I'm going to do since you have made me so miserable?"
"Not only did you give me a hard time, but you also did it to my friend. Yolanda, you can't do such a thing."
Hearing that, Yolanda smiled, "You asked for it, didn't you?"
After a pause, she replied, "I don't need you to teach me how to be a man. Open the door immediately, or I'll call the police."
James unhurriedly sat down on the sofa and turned on his phone. He then said, "Let me get straight to the point. Either give me a role in your play, or I expose our previous relationship and let everyone know that such a popular beautiful investor has been so close with me before. Do you think they will be interested?"
James swiped the selfies she had taken with Yolanda one by one, several of which were very intimate.
Yolanda was stunned by the sudden photos.
Looking at the images that had long disappeared in her memory along with her lost mobile phone, she went blank.
James was now notorious. He took this action to make it clear that he wanted to make a final struggle. Once these photos were exposed, they would affect her partner's trust in her at any time.
Yolanda didn't know what would happen to Aaron when he saw these.
That was the most important thing she cared about.
From a different standpoint, if Aaron had been exposed for an intimate selfie with his ex-girlfriend, she would have felt as uncomfortable as eating a fly.
What's more, James used to be the reason for deceiving Aaron for three months. He was no ordinary ex-boyfriend. He was a thorn between the two. It was not easy to let the thing go. If it developed, there was no doubt that it would hurt him again.
But Yolanda also didn't hope to be taken advantage of by this jerk.
"I'll consider it," said she.
It was half past nine in the evening when Aaron came out of the meeting room. The overseas video conference had been held for two hours, and the content was complicated. During this period, he had been checking his watch several times.
He recalled that Yolanda wouldn't be on her best behavior after getting drunk. She had acted coquettishly and hugged him for two times. Since he wasn't with her tonight, he was worried that she would hug someone else.
After finally ending the meeting, Aaron asked Lenny after he came out, "Is there any news over there?"
Lenny answered, "It is said they three were singing happily inside with the door closed."
Aaron smiled while packing up the documents.
Seeing that he was in a good mood, Lenny suggested, "Mr. Jensen, are you going to pick her up? It's probably almost over."
Aaron had planned to do so. As soon as he finished packing up and went downstairs with Lenny, the phone of the KTV called,
"Miss Walter entered a small private room alone with James and the door is locked."
Lenny was a little stunned and then repeated to Aaron.
After he heard the disgusting name, Aaron's face instantly darkened.
In the private room, Yolanda hadn't compromised yet.
"So, are you still hesitating?" James became impatient. "I'm not asking too much. I just want the third male role. Yolanda, you can't be too cruel. Don't push me too hard. I'll fight back."
Her mind was racing. She tried to come up with another way to deal with his threat. However, no matter what she thought, these photos were like the dark history in her life, which couldn't be erased.
She couldn't change this fact.
"If you really don't want to," James approached Yolanda with an evil thought, "you can sleep with me for a night and let me know what it's like to sleep with a woman who has slept with Aaron."
He reached out with a hand. Yolanda was about to dodge when the door was suddenly opened from the outside.
Before Yolanda realized it, she was pulled behind by the figure that came in, followed by a cold voice,
"What did you say just now? Could say that again?"
James' hand was also slapped away in an instant. He raised his head and looked incredulously at his sudden appearance of Aaron.
The man's eyes were cold and intimidating. James thought it was not a coincidence that he happened to pass by.
James was a little scared.
He thought Yolanda had broken up with Aaron, so he dared to come to her and threatened her, but he didn't expect they seemed not to break up yet?
James didn't lose his insanity. After weighing the pros and cons quickly, he decided to take a step back and not escalate the matter.
At least, he didn't want to make a scene in front of Aaron.
So he shrugged her shoulders as if nothing had happened and said, "Nothing. It's just a misunderstanding. I won't disturb you."
After saying that, James walked towards the door. But when he opened the door, he was surprised to find that there were a few strange men standing outside.
He was surrounded by so many people that he couldn't get out at all.
Obviously, they were the people hired by KTV. They specialized in dealing with people who made trouble.
There were too many gray things in this place. Different people had different circles and rules.
James suddenly felt a little scared, and the fear quickly turned into anger. He turned around and said to Yolanda, "Yolanda, I just said don't push me too hard!"
"Get your ass in there." A man kicked James and then closed the door.
James fell to the ground awkwardly, just at the feet of Aaron and his mobile phone fell out of her pocket.
Yolanda was nervous, then she secretly kicked the phone aside.
Aaron noticed her little move, but said nothing. He looked at the man on the ground and asked,
"If push you hard, what will you do?"
"Do you know whom you are threatening, James?"
James' elbow hurt so much that he lost his mind and roared, "Can't I catch up with Yolanda? Who says that I can't meet my ex-girlfriend after breaking up? Do I break the law?"
The sound of "ex-girlfriend" reverberated in the room, like an invisible and fierce fire, thoroughly intensified and pulled out the thorn hidden in the bottom of Aaron's heart.
"You also know that you are an ex."
Aaron spoke coldly, squatted down slowly, and looked at James calmly and oppressively for a long time.
He then said, "Did you get permission from her current boyfriend before meeting her?"
